  • EPCIS(EPC Information Services) system is a core component of EPCglobal Architecture Framework offering information of the freights, the time of awareness and the location of awareness on the EPCglobal Network. The role of EPCIS is to exchange information based on EPC. There are four kinds of event data which are object event data, aggregation event data, quantity event data, and transaction event data. These EPCIS events data are stored and managed in EPCIS repository. This paper deals with the method which diversifies the data flow load of intensive EPCIS events and effectively manages EPCIS repository for exchanging data smoothly. In order to verify a effectiveness, we measure the performance of the system using a simulation by comparing the existing method with the suggested method.

  • This study aimed to find out the difference in safety knowledge, ability for coping with emergency situations, and first aid awareness before and after introductory scuba diving training. From June 25 to August 30, 2021, data were collected from 86 people who agreed to the study and received introductory education from SSI (Scuba Schools International). Data analysis was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and χ2-test using SPSS PC/26.0. As a result of the study, safety knowledge and ability to cope with emergency situations after training showed a statistically significant increase in all items, and first aid awareness increased after training in response to the items to be performed first according to the priority of the frequency analysis result. In addition, it was analyzed that the subjects who were well aware of the scuba diving safety rules had a statistically significantly higher safety knowledge and ability to cope with emergency situations. Therefore, considering the characteristics of scuba diving group education of college students, in order to participate in safe aquatic leisure activities, systematic education and institutional arrangements for safety knowledge and emergency response skills should be prepared from the introductory stage.

  • Initiated by the Ministry of Labor, a lot of efforts have been dedicated to the area of occupational injury prevention and some achievements were obtained as well. However, we may find the reason of not having a considerable decrease of occupational injuries in our society in the overall low safety level, lacking safety awareness and lacking proper measures in conformity with the safety standard. Taking a lesson from the above facts, we hereby present measures to be taken for the success of the second Five-Year Occupational Injury Prevention Plan(2005-2009).

  • Thermal power plants play an important role in the country's power supply, but often violate the Industrial Safety and Health Act due to lack of safety awareness about the incompatibility of electrical safety and safety facilities. In this study, safety diagnosis was performed for each of the five major thermal power plants in Korea. For the 18 sites including coal, LNG, and power plants, we investigate the main violations of Article 327 and conduct intensive analysis on repetitive electrical safety violations to propose preventive measures that meet the characteristics of the power plant.

A Study of the Effect of Organizational Climate on Workers' Safety Consciousness after the Enforcement of the Act on the Punishment of Severe Disasters - Focusing on Construction Site Workers - (중대재해처벌법 시행 이후 작업장의 조직풍토가 근로자의 안전의식 수준에 미치는 영향 - 건설현장 근로자를 중심으로 -)

  • On January 8, 2021, the Act on the Punishment of Severe Disasters passed the Legislation and Judiciary Committee and has been in effect in earnest since January 2022. However, safety accidents at construction sites are still continuing, and it is necessary to discuss ways to improve the safety awareness of construction workers. Therefore, in this study, data were collected through a survey of construction site workers, and the effect of the organizational climate of the workplace on the level of safety consciousness of workers was studied. As a result of the study, the factors of organizational structure, guaranteeing autonomy and consideration of supervisors among the organizational climate of the workplace had a positive effect on the improvement of workers' safety awareness. Based on this, this researcher suggested that workers should be delegated the authority to perform some tasks according to the situation and content of the work during the field work and that incentives should be compensated according to performance.

  • Safety accident rate of small-medium construction site is high. because of lack of safety management system, lack of safety management capacity, lack of investment for safety, Owner's insufficient awareness about safety. In order to improve this, Currently in Occupational Safety and Health Act, Construction site of amounts more than 300 million won less than 120 billion (architectural),150 billion won(civil) mandatory subject to the technical guidance on construction accident prevention. Context of construction accident causes with construction accident rate relationship analysis and case analysis of technical guidance, through a survey of stakeholders in the technical guidance drawn the problems of the construction accident prevention technical guidance system and ways to improve on this.

  • This study was conducted in order to assist with infusing safety consciousness and resolving insensitivity towards safety for industrial accident in workers, managers and executives of chemical companies. Among many industrial accident prevention methods, Korea has been mostly taking an engineering approach of preventing industrial accidents by replacing old machines with risks of an accident and through new facilities and equipments. Through an attitude survey of workers in large scale chemical companies, this study wished to examine the fact that the biggest reason why the accident rate for the past 10 years has not decreased is because safety consciousness has not been established yet.

  • In manufacturing industry of the modem industrial society, people increasingly become concerned the awareness of safety increasingly although they have regarded production the most important factor. Even though, as people make efforts on accident preventions, the number of accidents is decreasing, fatal major industry accidents are rather thanincreasing so that the number of deaths has not decreased. Under these conditions, there is an attempt to introduce and perform the process safety management system as a means for keeping from major industry accidents. However, it leaves to be desired on the methods of measuring process safety in the general manufacturing industry, while it is available to do that in the chemistry industry. Therefore, in this paper, we analysis processes of manufacturing industry in safety point of view and suggest the technique efficiently measuring and managing each process. Proposed the technique shows that the specification on safety determines AHP weight through the managers of firms and each process is suggested by using normalized matrix.

  • This study is to investigate the degree of field awareness of how each provision of the Serious Disaster Punishment Act will affect accident prevention. As a result of conducting a survey of construction site workers, it was analyzed that construction site workers had a low sense of safety and did not voluntarily engage in safety activities. And it can be seen that they are taking a very passive position that it is efficient to implement safety under the supervision of the supervisor. Workers who need voluntary construction site safety activities are most aware of the situation at the site, but the problem was pointed out as "lack of procedures for listening to opinions and preparing improvement measures" for these problems. Future research is needed to see if this is a problem for individual workers or for those in charge of safety and health who do not correct it even though active opinions have been submitted.
