  • The environment-friendly agricultural product market receives consumers' great interests despite relatively few studies focused on consumers' decision making process of the environment-friendly agricultural products. This paper examines what factors influence on consumers' attitude and buying behavior on the environment-friendly agricultural product. In order to find the relative importance of each factor's influence, this study adopts multiple regression method based on the survey results of 500 people with the systematic random sampling. The results showed that consumers' favorable attitude towards the environment-friendly agricultural product were influenced by taste, freshness, food safety, and positive attitudes toward the environment-friendly agricultural product promotion. In addition, consumers' purchase intention was influenced by taste, food safety, environmental concern, and the promotion. Respondents recommend the environment-friendly agricultural product when they believe that the environment-friendly agricultural product had the values of taste, environmental concern, and promotion. Women are more active in buying and recommending the environment-friendly agricultural product; however, the price was not the statistically meaning factor. This study provides empirical data that was used for marketing and increasing the sales of the environment-friendly agricultural product. Future research was advised to examine more thoroughly on the relationships between the promotion efforts and purchase intention and the occasions when the price becomes the issue in the buying decision of the environment-friendly agricultural product.

  • In this study, we proposed GIS-based Regional Crime Prevention Index (RCPI) development method designed to support local governments with systematic crime prevention activities. The public interest in safe urban environment is increasing rapidly. The government is putting efforts into crime prevention activities to eliminate the criminal opportunities in advance. CPTED is method to prevent crimes in the city by improving environmental factors that cause crime. It is used by local governments to promote the crime prevention activities centering on the expansion of CCTVs and street lamps and the improvement of street environment. However, most policies were terminated as one-off programs and it is necessary to monitor the effect of such policies on a continuous basis. In order to alleviate issues, this study proposed RCPI as part of crime safety assessment in urban environments. The estimation of RCPI in City A of Gyeonggi-do showed relative differences in 31 districts (dong), indicating that it is also possible to evaluate the crime safety in the local community on the level of the administrative dong, the smallest administrative district in the urban environments. As a crime map, the RCPI will be used effectively as he reference to support the decision making process for local government in the future.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate whether the program of health promotion and follow up feedback by periods could improve physical fitness related to work ability of the middle-aged and aged workers. Subjects were composed of two groups; workers aged below forty five and forty five and over who had measured their health-related physical fitness twice for 2 years (2006 & 2007) through the program of health promotion operated by Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency. Paired t-test was used to evaluate the difference between the first measurement and re-measurement of health-related fitness which was operated after six to twelve months from the first one. We used 0.05 level for statistical significance. The results of this study were as follows. All measurement items including body fat ratio(%), $VO_2max$, grip strength, sit-up, and trunk flexion were significantly improved in both groups. The improvement(%) of $VO_2max$, grip strength of workers of forty five and above was lower than those of workers of below forty five. Servicing the program of health promotion and follow up feedback by periods may help workers' improvement of health-related physical fitness related to work ability.

  • Background: This study aims to allow the development of efficient measures to improve occupational health of shift-working nurses focusing on job stress, health promotion behavior, resilience, and sleep disturbance. Methods: It was conducted on a subject panel of 137 nurses who were aware of the purpose of the study and agreed to participate. They worked three shifts at a tertiary hospital or a general hospital located in metropolitan city B. The collected data were analyzed by the independent t test and one-way analysis of variance and post-tested by Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 25.0. Results: The significant influencing factors on sleep disturbance were of those whose subjective health status was 'normal' (b = 0.29, p < .001), 'not healthy' (β = .40, p < .001), who have job stress (β = .22, p = .003), and who have health promotion behavior (β = -0.17, p = .023). The overall explanatory power was 31.1% (F = 16.31, p < .001). Conclusion: Through this study, nurses' subjective health status and job stress of working shifts were found to be important factors influencing the sleep disturbance level, and the most influencing factor was identified as the subjective health status.
