PIV를 이용한 실차 내부 환기유동의 정량적 속도장 측정 (PIV Measurements of Ventilation Flow inside a Passenger Compartment)

  • The improvement of climatic comfort is crucial not only for passenger comfort but also for driving safety. Therefore, a better understanding on the flow characteristics of ventilation flow inside the passenger compartment is essential. Most of the previous studies investigated the ventilation flow using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations or scale-down water-model experiments. In this study, the ventilation flow inside the passenger compartment of a real commercial automobile was investigated using a Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) velocity field measurement technique. Under real operating conditions, the velocity fields were measured at several vertical planes for several ventilation modes. The experimental data obtained from this study can be used to understand the detailed flow characteristics in the passenger compartment of a real car and to validate numerical predictions.

조타장치 사고 재결서 분석과 NAS 3350 시험을 통한 카페리 여객선 타두재와 틸러 체결 너트 풀림 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Passenger Ship Rudder Stock and Tiller Locking Nut Loosening by Analyzing an Investigation Report and the NAS 3350 Test)

  • 2014년 2월 여객선의 타두재 상단 너트가 풀려 타가 작동하지 않은 사고가 발생하였다. 많은 여객과 화물의 이동을 목적으로 하는 여객선의 조타 장치 사고로 인한 인명사고는 통계에 의하면 2010~2016년 0명이지만 조타장치의 고장으로 선박의 요건인 이동성을 갖추지 못한다면 물살이 거센 해역이나 출입항 선박이 많은 협수로에서는 선박의 조종에 대한 제약으로 인명사고의 비율이 높은 전복 사고나 충돌 사고로 발전할 수 있다. "선박안전법" 및 관련 고시인 "강선의구조기준"에는 타판과 타심재의 체결에 관련된 내용은 기준화 되어있으나 타 빠짐의 원인이 되는 상부 타두재와 너트의 체결에 대해서는 별도의 법령이 없다. 사고 이후 한국선급은 강선규칙 5편 제7장에 결합방법에 대해 개정을 하였다. 목포항과 주변 섬을 운항하는 여객선 12척에 대한 현장조사 결과 대부분 C형타 2개가 설치된 구조였으며, 체결방법으로는 9척이 용접에 의한 체결 방법을 적용하고 있었고 선박 자체적으로 예방 점검을 위해 체결 개소에 접근하기 어려운 구조로 되어 있었다. 1년에 한 번씩 타를 들어 올리거나 빼내야 하는 여객선의 특성을 고려하여 동종 사고를 방지할 수 있는 방안에 대해서 NAS 3350 시험을 통해 검토하였다.

Assessment of the Risks of Occupational Diseases of the Passenger Bus Drivers

  • Background: The working conditions of bus drivers are difficult; they lead to occupational diseases and require careful study, particularly in Ukraine. The objective of the article is the description of occupational health risks of passenger bus drivers that lead to deteriorating health. Methods: The risk assessment was performed using a modified Risk Score method, which allowed determining the generalized level of danger to the driver's health. The hygienic hazards level was assessed as based on Stevenson's law, which was generalized later. Results: Based on the modification of the Risk Score method, it was possible to depart from expert assessments method of the risk level and calculate the general indicator based on the degree of dependence of the impact on the human body on its intensity, proposed by V. Minko. This allows objective determining of the impact of hygiene hazards on the health of the driver and to predict the occurrence of occupational diseases associated with the cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, and partial or complete disability due to the accumulation of emotional fatigue. The hazard assessment was carried out for three brands of passenger buses common in Ukraine, in which the driver is exposed to the dangers of fever, vibration, noise, harmful impurities in the bus cabin, and emotional load. Conclusion: The health of drivers in the cabins of passenger buses is most affected by hygiene hazards: fever, vibration, and emotional stress. The generalized level of risk is calculated by the modified method of Risk Score is 0.83; -0.99, -0.92 respectively.

목포항 입출항 연안여객선의 이용 항로에 관한 고찰 (Study on the Fairway Used by Coastal Passenger Ship at Mokpo Port)

  • 목포항은 우리나라에서 가장 많은 연안여객선과 연안여객선의 항로를 운영 중이며, 지형적인 영향으로 목포항으로 입출항하는 연안여객선은 서남해안 곳곳의 좁은 수로를 통항하고 있다. 상대적으로 대형선박이 이용하는 항로에 비하여 연안여객선이 이용하는 좁은 수로에 대한 해상교통환경의 안전성을 체계적으로 검토한 사례는 찾아보기 어렵다. 이에 본 연구에서는 목포항 항계 부근에 위치한 좁은 수로에 대하여 대상이 되는 연안여객선의 통항 안전성을 항만 및 어항설계 기준에서의 항로 폭, 수심, 굴곡도 기준에 따라 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 맥도와 달리도 사이의 좁은 수로 폭이 대상 연안여객선이 통항 가능한 전장의 1.5배보다 좁을 뿐만 아니라, 수로의 굴곡 정도가 기준값인 30°를 초과하여 조선이 쉽지 않고, 좁은 수로 인근에 어구가 다수 존재하여 통항 시 지장을 초래하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 본 연구의 결론으로, 동 좁은 수로에서 대상 연안여객선의 주간 단독 통항 및 야간·시계제한·저조 시의 경우 항내의 지정 항로로 우회하여 통항할 것을 개선방안으로 제시하였다.

  • Recently vehicle development trend puts emphasis on cost reduction and performance improvement through weight reduction, and safety security to protect passenger and chassis against external impact. Primary factors effected on vehicle safety are chassis structure, chassis system, and safety equipment like bumper. Research in part of weight reduction is proceeding actively about prohibition of over-design and material through optimal design method. Bumper in these factors is demanded two of all factors, safety security and weight reduction. It is the part that prohibits or reduces a physical impact in low speed crash. Bumper is composed of a few parts but this study exhibits the shape of bumper rail has a role on energy absorption of safety security and weight reduction from structure analysis of bumper rail's variable shape surface.

  • A pre/post processor program based GUI(Graphic User Interface) by using the MFC and OpenGL library in the Windows OS have been developed for the analysis of the passenger flow. Using this program, users are able to generate and modify the meshes of multi-storied subway station, set all the parameters for the solver, and obtain the results of the simulation such as transient passenger motions and passenger streak lines in 3-dimensional graphic view.

저속40%옵셋 충돌시험을 통한 프레임형 승용차량의 손상성수리성에 관한 연구 (Damageability, Repairability of Frame Type Passenger Vehicles at Low Speed 40% Offset Crash Test)

  • For the purpose of evaluation the damage repairability of a Frame Type Passenger vehicle which experienced a Low Speed 40% Offset front and rear Crash Test. tests were made according to the RCAR testing procedures. Test results concluded ; (1) The deceleration at C.G(center of gravity) off 6.9∼11.39 was similar to that for the vehicle. The airbag system was found to affect neither the passenger's safety nor the savings of the repairing costs. (2) In order to improve the repairability of the Frame Type Passenger vehicle after collision should be a higher crash performance of the bumper on the RCAR standards.

승용 자동차 조종장치 스테레오타입 조사를 위한 설문조사법의 신뢰성 (Test-Retest Reliability of Paper-Pencil Test for Investigating Stereotypes of Controls of Passenger Cars)

  • This study aims to investigate test-retest reliability or reproducibility of the paper-pencil test for investigating stereotypes of seven principal controls of passenger cars. The controls include wiper, head light, high beam, door window, ignition key, door key and door lock. Sixty two college-aged students participated in the paper-pencil tests and the tests were conducted twice with an in-between period of 4 weeks. The results showed that the stereotypes of motion-directions for the seven controls by the two paper-pencil tests were the same, and that the percentage agreements between two tests by subjects were ranged from 60.0% to 80.6%. There was a weak linear relationship between averaged rates of responses for the stereotypes of motion-directions for the seven controls and percentage agreements by subjects. Based on these results, it is concluded that the paper-pencil test collects reliable or reproducible data on the stereotypes of motion-directions for passenger cars' controls within four weeks.

  • As well as the vibration comfort in passenger coaches largely affects passengers, it is one of the most important factors that passengers would betray their dissatisfactions among various elements, such as noise, lighting, couches, seat-arrangement, ventilation, temperature, odor, cleanliness, etc., consisting of comfort in passenger coaches. The wheel-tread figuration in the dynamic behavior of trainsets significantly affects the vibration comfort such as the running safety and the running stability. In this study, therefore, I will examine the dynamic characteristic in passenger coaches in accordance with the variation of wheel-tread figuration during the high-speed traveling with the target of trainsets (KT23 bogie), which are operated as the passenger coache in Korea, and any variation that will exert baneful influence on the vibration comfort accordingly.
