Optimization of preventive maintenance of nuclear safety-class DCS based on reliability modeling

  • Nuclear safety-class DCS is used for nuclear reactor protection function, which is one of the key facilities to ensure nuclear power plant safety, the maintenance for DCS to keep system in a high reliability is significant. In this paper, Nuclear safety-class DCS system developed by the Nuclear Power Institute of China is investigated, the model of reliability estimation considering nuclear power plant emergency trip control process is carried out using Markov transfer process. According to the System-Subgroup-Module hierarchical iteration calculation, the evolution curve of failure probability is established, and the preventive maintenance optimization strategy is constructed combining reliability numerical calculation and periodic overhaul interval of nuclear power plant, which could provide a quantitative basis for the maintenance decision of DCS system.

  • To keep enterprise's competitiveness on condition of the automatic manufacturing system such as FA, FMS and CIM, all the maintenance problems should be considered seriously in not only production and maintenance but also related industrial safety. As we analyze in the surveys for the maintenance management of domestic enterprises and the causes of Industrial accident, there will be necessity of drawing up countermeasures for prevention of industrial accidents and for ensuring expertise maintenance technologies. Based on these analyses, this study studied the safety information system, maintenance management information system, and the machinery condition diagnosis technique by using of the knowledge-based system under the internet environment. This web based knowledge-based diagnosis system can easily provide not only the knowledge of expert about deterioration phenomenon of industrial robot, but also the knowledge of relating safety and facility on everywhere, everytime. Therefore, when we use this system, it is expected to improve the efficiency of business processes in the production and safety.

  • This study deals with the procedure of safety improvement, productivity increase ,and tact-time reduction through setting up the system about preventive maintenance. Actually, it is hard to establish and carry out preventive maintenance, even though we recognize the importance of the system concerning time, cost, labor, and so forth. In this study in the viewpoint of cost we are for achieving maximum efficiency by change and reduction of planning process adapted to the special work group. At first we briefly will mention the kind ,the necessity ,and the concept of preventive maintenance ,and then divide the equipment used in the assembly line into the two whether it is necessary or not by way of estimating the breakdown loss ,comparing with general establishment of preventive maintenance and modifying it to the case. At the second step we will establish the operation system of plan management related to production and quality in the special case. Check period and category will be set by dividing the assembly equipment into LCL and Focus in the third step. The forth step will contain the operation procedure in detail. And then we must make check and repair record periodically. Finally, on the basis of the record the selection of checking of significance will be conducted. This results in safety improvement, tact time reduction, and productivity improvement.

Root Causes and Characteristics of Occupational Incidents by Cause Investigation - Focusing on Maintenance and Repair Work - (사고 원인조사를 통한 농작업 안전사고 특성 연구 - 유지, 보수 작업을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to identify the types of safety accidents that occur during maintenance and repair operations and analyze the root causes. We used the logic tree diagramming to extract the root causes of 65 safety incidents specifically related to maintenance and repair work out of a total of 1,024 agricultural safety incidents that occurred between 2007 and 2020 collected by investigation with interviews. The extracted root causes were analyzed by categorizing them into six different safety system classifications. The results of the analysis and suggestions are as follows. Incidents related to maintenance and repair work, which can lead to irreversible safety hazards, have occurred frequently. These incidents were found to be occurring due to the overlapping of various safety system errors such as personal protective system and safety operation procedure. In the short term, it is necessary to emphasize compliance with the use of personal protective equipment, and enhancement of maintenance training. In the long term, it is necessary to establish a legal distinction for maintenance and repair work and clarify the responsible parties. Introducing a maintenance system is also crucial to prevent occupational injuries during maintenance and repair in agriculture.

  • As the domestic aviation industry grows, the aviation maintenance field is also growing rapidly. This change calls for more aircraft maintenance technicians, and interest in safety accidents is also increasing. Individual safety climate indicates the importance of safety in the organization. We expect that three individual factors (training effectiveness, procedure effectiveness, and work pressure) relate to safety behavior in the workplace via individual safety climate. The purpose of this research is investigating the relationship between individual factors and aircraft maintenance technician's safety behavior. Previous studies related to individual factors were examined for literature review. Based on the previous studies, research model was constructed. Hypothesis was verified by effected data from 305 samples were employed for final survey. The results show that individual factors were meaningful factors to effect perceived safety behavior, and safety knowledge & safety motivation were related to safety compliance & safety participation.

  • The safety of staff, customers and of general Public in general viewed as one of the most important requirements in the urban transit. The maintenance computerization system for car of urban transit is a part of standardization and development of urban transit system. and We have been performed the establishment of maintenance computerization system from 2001 to 2005. The RAMS (reliability. availability. maintainability and safety) estimation for maintenance computerization system are utilized in a variety of computerization system for user's convenience and safety in maintenance. Ever since its inception though. the urban transit has searched for ways to improve reliability. availability. maintainability and safety of the railway subsystem. Provision of a reliable maintenance system include RAMS of the vehicles plays a very important role in achieving a safe system.

  • In order to build an effective management system for structures and to propose national policy and vision for advance of safety and maintenance management, 'Fundamental Scheme of Safety and Maintenance Management for Structures' has been established and promoted. As developed countries adopt preventive maintenance management, which is preventive as well as aggressive repair/strengthening for structures, it is needed to introduce life-cycle analysis method for improvement of economical efficiency. Therefore, this paper presents not only analysis of domestic conditions and problems related to system for safety and maintenance management, policies and costs for structures but an improvement plan.

  • It is very important to manage efficient data for safety and maintenance of those constructs. Estimation for structural safety can be evaluated by using data that surveys various structural durability and safety elements. so, it should be based on synthetic and efficient data that includes a variety of related safety elements obtained from a structure. It will subsequently be managed properly and economically. Accordingly, we will approach efficient maintenance management using a Geographic Information System (GIS) with data from structural-safety diagnosis and a Global Positioning System (GPS). In this study, we noted that by using the data that measures the factors (crack, incline, settlement etc.) of various structures as evaluate safety degree. And the horizontal coordinate variation/time of structure was monitored using the GPS easily.
