  • This paper describes an obstacle detecting system of an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). The unmanned ground vehicle is consists of several systems such as vehicle control system, navigation system, obstacle detecting system and integration system. Among these systems, the obstacle detecting system is a driving assistance system of UGV. Through the UGV is driving, the system detects obstacles such as cars, human, tree, curb and hills and then send information of obstacles position to integration system for safety driving. In this research, the obstacle detecting system is composed of 5 laser scanners and develop algorithms of detecting obstacles, curb, uphill and downhill road.

  • In this paper, we proposed to the inspection algorithm for cap, Electric fuse is an over current and circuit protection device which is occurred in electric & electronic appliance. Also the fuse are protection the second hazard at arc etc. Fuse are interest regarding a safety increased. Consequently, the fuse came to be very important. Cap inspection algorithm is designed for the cap of fuse. CCD camera is monitering the solder of cap distribution map. The conditioning of fuse cap; suming all searching data with non solder area. the area is bigger reference data then the cap is bad cap.

  • The seismic design recommendations of the Jordan Code for Loads and Forces (JC) are evaluated, based on comparisons with analytical studies and the Uniform Building Code. It was established that the overall safety ensured by the implementation of these recommendations is not consistent with the established seismic risk in Jordan and the intended objectives of the code. A new zoning map is proposed with effective peak ground acceleration values. The different period formulae of the code were studied and were found to grossly underestimate the fundamental period when compared with analytically derived values or other codes' formulae. Other factors including the dynamic, soil, importance and behavior factors are discussed. It was determined that the JC's lateral load distribution formulae clearly lead to smaller internal forces than both dynamic analysis and UBC loads, even when those loads are normalized to give the same base shear. The main reason for this is attributed to the limited allowance for a backlash force in the JC.

Inelastic analysis for the post-collapse behavior of concrete encased steel composite columns under axial compression

  • This paper proposes a simple inelastic analysis approach to efficiently map out the complete nonlinear post-collapse (strain-softening) response and the maximum load capacity of axially loaded concrete encased steel composite columns (stub and slender). The scheme simultaneously incorporates the influences of difficult instabilizing phenomena such as concrete confinement, initial geometric imperfection, geometric nonlinearity, buckling of reinforcement bars and local buckling of structural steel, on the overall behavior of the composite columns. The proposed numerical method adopts fiber element discretization and an iterative M${\ddot{u}}$ller's algorithm with an additional adaptive technique that robustly yields solution convergence. The accuracy of the proposed analysis scheme is validated through comparisons with various available experimental benchmarks. Finally, a parametric study of various key parameters on the overall behaviors of the composite columns is conducted.

  • In my paper, an evaluation method on naturalness and urbanness characterizations of animation image is proposed. In contrast to the prior works, we intend to give the exact degree of naturalness and urbanness by combining the low-level visual feature-based schemes with the biological visual schemes. In our method, four descriptors are extracted and pseudoinverse is adopted. By this method, we can experiment on the exact degree of naturalness and urbanness with satisfactory results.

  • To investigate activities in the evacuated situation of people, the measurement system is newly constructed, that composed of a wearable sensor device of heart beats rates and mobile devices like an Android smartphone with a bluetooth low energy (BLE) connection. Smartphone not only displays the heart beats variation (HBR) and the current location of evacuation person by Global Positioning System (GPS), but also exports the CSV formatted file that would be used for further analyzing the activity of person in detail. As an example of the application of this system, we show the case of evacuation routes for elderly person in Hizen-Hamashuku Area, Saga Prefecture. Using the proposed measuring system, the activities of evacuates can be clearly shown on the map of Geospatial Information System (GIS).

  • 최근 여성, 아동을 대상으로 한 범죄 발생률이 증가 하고 있다. 이러한 통계를 기반으로 우리 생활 깊숙이 자리 매김한 스마트 폰 애플리케이션을 활용하여 범죄를 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있는 애플리케이션을 개발 하였다. SQLite를 이용한 Database기능과 Google API Package의 MapView를 사용하여 지인의 정보를 놓고 언제든지 사용자의 위치정보를 빠르게 전달할 수 있는 앱을 구현 하여 주기적인 위치전송으로 인한 사용자의 위치파악이 가능하고, 위급상황 시 긴급전화를 이용하여 사고 대처가 가능하며, GPS를 이용한 본인의 위치 주변 지리 파악이 용이하다. 또한 수신자가 발신자의 이동경로를 한눈에 봄으로써 위치파악에 용이 함으로 안전한 귀가 서비스를 제공한다.

  • The rolling contact fatigue of wheels for high speed trains is a matter of increasing importance. The wheel damages from fatigue crack makes noise up and safety down. RCF-casued accidents cause traffic congestion and economical costs as well as personal injuries. In this study, we examine the rolling contact fatigue of wheels for power car running at 300km/h. Using the results of multi-body dynamic analysis and the proposed procedure of Ekberg, we calculate the fatigue index of surface-initiated fatigue, subsurface-initiated fatigue and fatigue initiated at deep material defects. As a result. the fatigue index shows us whether fatigue will appear and in which form. In addition, we present Shakedown map on surface-initiated fatigue.

  • 본 연구에서는 항만 및 어항시설의 내진설?준서에서 채택하고 있는 수정 Seed와 Idriss 방법을 이용하여 액상화 평가를 수행하고 액상화 가능지수(liquefaction potential index, LPI)와 등가 액상화 안전율(FE)을 이용하여 액상화 가능성에 대한 구역도를 작성하였다. 이 두결과가 유사한 것으로 나타나 등가 액상화 안전율의 적합성을 확인하였다 국내 연안의 두지역에 대하여 Hachinohe 지진기록과 Ofunato 지진기록을 이용한 액상화 가능성 구역도를 FE를 이용하여 작성한 후 비교한 결과 Hachinohe 지진기록에 의한 액상화 가능성 구역도가 더 과소평가되는 경향을 보이는 것으로 나타났다 또한 FE는 안전율의 형태로 표현되었기 때문에 구역도 작성과 해석에 편의 성을 제공하였다.

  • In this paper various information D/B on track and facilities, electric/communication equipment and safety equipment required to support the emergencies related to high-speed railway was implemented, the practical local information in the proximity of high-speed line was identified by drawing the roads accessible to the track on the numerical map, and the development and the application of the information providing system based on GIS for the purpose of emergency response and its support, which can be helpful to request the external organizations such as local authorities, police offices and fire brigades for the emergencies, was proceed.
