부착형 고분자 압전센서를 이용한 탄성파 검출 연구 (A Study on Detection of Elastic Wave Using Patch Type Piezo-Polymer Sensor)

  • 스마트 구조물에 적합한 탄성파 검출 센서로서 고분자 압전센서를 이용한 부착형 센서에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. PVDF와 P(VDF-TrFE)에 대하여 센서로서의 특성을 평가하였으며 상용화된 PZT 센서와 비교하였다. 음향임피던스가 서로 다른 여러 가지 재료에 고분자 압전센서를 부착하여 연필심 파괴 시 발생하는 탄성파를 검출하여 분석하였다. 센서의 직경이 증가함에 따라 검출 신호의 최대 진폭 값은 증가하였으나 센서의 주파수 검출한계는 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 시편의 음향임피던스가 감소할수록 검출신호의 최대 진폭 값은 증가하였으며 주로 저주파수의 주파수 성분의 신호에 민감한 것으로 분석되었다. 전반적으로 P(VDF-TrFE) 센서가 PVDF 센서보다 감도 면에서 다소 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

Investigation of Setting Process of Cementitious Materials Using Electromechanical Impedance of Embedded Piezoelectric Patch

  • In this study, the evolution of the electro-mechanical impedance (EMI) of a piezoelectric (PZT) patch embedded in fresh cement paste was investigated to discuss the possibility of monitoring the setting process of cement-based materials using an EMI sensing technique. A tailored thin square PZT patch was embedded in cement paste before casting, and EMI signatures of the embedded patch were continuously measured from casting up to 12 hours. A standard penetration resistance test was performed to compare and correlate the evolution of EMI during the setting process. The results showed that EMI responses differ according to the age of the cement paste, and that the behavior of the EMI resonance peak has a clear correlation with the penetration resistance of the cement paste. Based on the results, it is concluded that an EMI sensing technique using embedded PZT patch can be effectively applied to monitor the setting process of cement-based materials.

Corrosion behaviors of SS316L, Ti-Gr.2, Alloy 22 and Cu in KURT groundwater solutions for geological deep disposal

  • Deep geological disposal using a multibarrier system is a promising solution for treating high-level radioactive (HLRW) waste. The HLRW canister represents the first barrier for the migration of radionuclides into the biosphere, therefore, the corrosion behavior of canister materials is of significance. In this study, the electrochemical behaviors of SS316L, Ti-Gr.2, Alloy 22, and Cu in naturally aerated KAERI underground research tunnel (KURT) groundwater solutions were examined. The corrosion potential, current, and impedance spectra of the test materials were recorded using electrochemical methods. According to polarization and impedance measurements, Cu exhibits relatively higher corrosion rates and a lower corrosion resistance ability than those exhibited by the other materials in the given groundwater condition. In the anodic dissolution tests, SS316L exposed to the groundwater solution exhibited the most uniform corrosion, as indicated by its surface roughness. This phenomenon could be attributed to the extremely low concentration of chloride ions in KURT groundwater.

극저주파 자계의 노출 평가에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Exposure Assessment of Extremely Low Frequency Magnetic Fields)

  • This paper addresses the assessment methods used to evaluate the magnetic exposure of a human to ELF EMF (Extremely Low Frequency Electromagnetic Field) which is caused by the process of power delivery from 60 Hz commercial power. These days the main concern is primarily focused on the magnetic field. For the exposure assessment, both numerical studies and laboratory experiments were studied and the results of the two compared for methodological suitability. The numerical analyses employ the Impedance Method (IM), Boundary Element Method (BEM), and Finite Element Method (FEM) and the laboratory experiments used various human phantom models made with conductivities congruent to human organs and then exposed to uniform/non-uniform magnetic fields to produce eddy currents. Under these conditions a number of examples have been evaluated and the reliability assessed to present the pros and cons of each methodology.

  • This paper presents the basic quench protection idea for the HTS(High-Temperature Superconducting) cable. In Korea power system, the transfer capability of transmission line is limited by the voltage stability, and HTS cable could be one of the countermeasure to solve the transfer limit as its higher current capacity and lower impedance[1]. However, the quench characteristic of HTS cable makes HTS cable to loss its superconductivity, and therefore change the impedance of the line and power system operating condition dramatically. This pheonominum threats not only HTS cable safety but also power system security, therefore a proper protection scheme and security control counterplan have to be established before HTS cable implementation. In this paper, the quench characteristics of HTS cable for the fault current based on heat balance equation was established and a proper protection method by FCL(Fault Current Limiter) was suggested.

  • 본 논문에서는 지그비를 이용한 이동 로봇의 자율주행의 선행 연구로서, 메시 네트워크가 가능한 Zigbee Pro 표준안을 지원하는 CC2520을 기반으로 한 지그비 모듈을 개발하였다. 제작 후 성능 개선의 방법으로 지그비 무선 주파수 대역에 맞는 안테나를 네트워크 분석기를 이용하여 선택하였다. 또한 지그비 모듈의 임피던스 매칭을 실행하여 무선 통신의 가능한 송 수신 거리를 늘렸으며, 통신의 안정성을 확보하였다.

재생 자원의 흡음특성에 관한 연구 -폐지와 담배필터를 중심으로- (Study on the Sound Absorbing Characteristics of Recycled Materials -Based on used Paper and Cigarette Filters-)

  • In this study, development of new sound absorbent which is safety, economical and efficient with using recycled materials is tried for substitution of commercial sound absorbent. The sound absorbents, used in this investigation, were made of used paper or filters of cigarette butts. With the variation of the material densities, sound absorptions of materials were measured. The impedance tube method is used for measuring sound absorption coefficient of the new sound absorbent materials. The measured frequency range was 250Hz to 4000Hz in 1/3 octave band. The sound absorption coefficient of the commercial materials and that of the materials synthesized in the our laboratory show almost same value.

  • In this paper, we propose a simple and relative electrode contact monitoring method. By exploiting the power line interference, which is regarded as one of the worst noise sources for bio-potential measurement, the relative difference in electrode impedance can be measured without a current or voltage source. Substantial benefits, including no extra circuit components, no degradation of the body potential driving circuit, and no electrical safety problem, can be achieved using this method. Furthermore, this method can be applied to multi-channel isolated bio-potential measurement systems and home health care devices under a steady measuring environment.

  • A high performance EEG signal measurement system is fabricated. It consists of high precision pre-amplifier and auto identification bandwidth unit. High precision pre-amplifier is composed of signal generator, signal amplifier with a impedance converter, body driver and isolation amplifier. The pre-amplifier is designed for low noise characteristics, high CMRR, high input impedance, high IMRR and safety, Auto identification bandwidth unit is composed of AD-converter and PIC micro-controller for real time processing EEG signal. The performance of EEG signal measurement system has been shown the classified bandwidth through the clinical demonstrations.

말단질량을 갖는 탄성지지 균열보의 고유주파수와 임피던스 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Natural Frequency and Impedance of Elastically Restrained Cracked Beam with a Tip Mass)

  • 주요 시설물에 널리 이용되고 있는, 말단질량을 갖는 탄성지지 캔틸레버형 보의 구조적 안전성 확보를 위하여, 대표적 손상형태 중 하나인 균열의 발생 및 진전을 센서를 통하여 측정된 데이터를 이용하여 추정함으로써 건전성을 모니터링할 수 있는 기술개발이 필요하다. 균열탐지를 위하여 압전재료를 이용한 임피던스기법이 활발히 연구되고 있는데, 이러한 기존연구들은 주로 균열과 임피던스 신호와의 관련성을 손상지수를 이용하여 실험적으로 규명함으로써 손상을 추정하는 내용으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 말단질량을 갖는 탄성지지 캔틸레버형 보의 균열에 따른 임피던스 신호의 변화와 해석적으로 구한 균열보 고유주파수 변화의 상관성을 규명하기 위한 연구이다. 정확한 고유주파수 해석을 위하여 자유진동실험 결과를 이용하여 건전보에 대한 해석모델을 개선한 후, 캔틸레버형 보에 단계적으로 균열을 발생시키면서 임피던스 신호를 측정하고 이에 대한 손상지수를 제곱평균제곱근편차를 이용하여 구한다. 그 결과를 개선된 해석모델을 기반으로 산정한 균열보의 고유주파수와 비교함으로써 고유주파수와 임피던스 신호와의 상관관계를 규명한다. 실험적으로 구한 임피던스 손상지수와 해석적으로 구한 1차 및 2차 고유주파수의 손상전후 비율 간의 상관계수가 각각 0.924 및 0.928로써, 밀접한 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 알 수 있었는데, 이러한 상관성을 활용하면 임피던스기법 기반 손상추정의 결과로부터 구조물의 현재 상태에 대한 구조특성을 보다 정확히 평가할 수 있고, 해석모델을 이용하여 구조물의 거동을 효과적으로 예측할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
