Our society is rapidly digitalizing. The effects of his digitalization are very diverse and one of them is that our living environments are changing. Many routine places which certain activities have been taken places are changing. For example, home office, education at home using internet, home shopping, internet banking, and so on. These facts cause the home to be extended and digitalized. That is, as our living patterns are changing, the housing needs are also changing. The purpose of this study is to graspe the digital related housing needs of the residents and suggest the directions of the digital home design. The subjects were 400 housewives who lived in 85m2 sized multi-family houses in Busan. They were relatively young in their age, had high education level, and middle income. On the base of their demands, the digital home designed as follows would be desirable: 1) safe and secure design and digital system, 2) design to improve residents' health and encourge family interaction, 3) human, warm, and soft interior mood, 4) the space composition different from the existing one.

Architectural design decisions and structural systems arrangements affect their earthquake behaviors significantly of reinforced concrete building in Turkey. Because the performances as safe and economical against earthquake loads of reinforced concrete buildings can be provided with especially design decisions in the architectural design stage. This matter reveals the importance of design decisions in the architectural design phase and the right structural system arrangement. The purpose of this study, the short-column situation frequently observed in reinforced concrete buildings after the earthquakes occurred in Turkey are to examine comparatively the effects on behavior and the rough construction cost of the building. The obtained results show that the short column circumstance composed due to different reasons negatively affects the earthquake performance of the reinforced concrete buildings and increases the rough construction cost. This matter shows that the measures to be taken against short column formation should be foreseen especially at the architectural design stage.

본 연구는 준설선을 이용하여 가덕수도를 횡단하며 준설공사를 하는 동안에 선박들의 안전한 통항방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 부산-거제간 연결도로 건설공사 중 가덕수도의 해저로 횡단하는 침매터널을 건설하기 위해서는 준설작업이 필요하다. 이에 따라 불가피하게 준설선이 가덕수도 항로를 횡단하며 준설을 해야 한다. 이는 상대적으로 가덕수도를 통항하는 선박들의 잠재적인 위험상황으로 충돌 등의 해양사고가 발생할 가능성이 있다. 따라서 이에 대한 선박의 안전통항방안을 모색하고 대책을 제시하였다. 먼저 해상교통량을 추정하고 교통혼잡도를 평가한 결과 장래(2009년)까지 주간 중에 통항량이 최대통항능력에 대비하여 20%미만으로 예상되었다. 그리고 항로설계원칙의 검토를 통해 임시항로를 설정하여 준설공사를 3단계로 나눠 실시하는 대안을 제시하였다. 끝으로 부산신항 VTS 센터의 역할을 강조하였다.

본 논문은 이종의 시스템에서 안전한 데이타 전송을 만족하는 웹 보안 모듈을 구현한 내용에 대해서 언급한다. 웹 시스템을 통해 사용자에게 사용의 편리함과 많은 정보를 주었고 웹 서비스 사업이 활발해졌으나 웹 시스템의 한계로 인해 보안상의 취약점인 데이타 유출에 의한 손실을 가져오게 되었다. 이에 많은 대응들이 있지만 좀더 효과적이고 편리한 데이타 보안을 위해 서버 클라이언트 보안 모듈을 구현하였다. 제안한 보안 모듈은 크게 두 개의 모듈로 구현된다. 하나는 웹 서버에서 동작하는 서버 보안 모듈이고, 다른 하나는 클라이언트에서 동작하는 클라이언트 보안 모듈이다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 보안 구조는 클라이언트와 서버간의 간단한 모듈의 설치로 안전한 데이타 전송을 보장한다. 속도에 민감한 웹 서버와 브라우저 사이의 빠른 암호화 통신을 위한 대칭 암호화 방식인 Triple-DES를 사용하였으며 키 관리 문제를 해결하기 위한 Diffie-Hellman 키(key) 교환 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 이렇게 함으로써 대칭 암호화에서 발생하는 키 분배 및 관리문제와 속도문제를 해결했다. 또한 DH방식의 알고리즘을 사용함으로써 서버와 클라이언트 사이의 안전한 데이타 보안을 위한 인증문제를 해결하였다.

While efforts have been made to address fall-related injuries in older adults, the problem is unsolved to date. The purpose of this review is to provide a guideline for fall and injury prevention programs in older adults, based on evidence generated over the past 30 years. Research articles published between 1990 and 2020 have been searched on PubMed, using keywords, including but not limited to, falls, hip fracture, injuries, intervention, older adults, prevention, hip protector, vitamin D, safe landing strategy, and exercise. Total of 98 articles have been found and categorized into five intervention areas: exercise program, hip protector, safe landing strategy, vitamin D intake, and compliant flooring. Furthermore, the articles have been rated based on their study design: class 1, randomized controlled trials; class 2, non-randomized controlled trials; class 3, experimental studies; class 4, all other studies. Exercise programs have shown to decrease the risk of fall, and associated injuries. Hip protectors, safe landing strategy, and vitamin D intake were effective in reducing a risk and incidence of hip fracture during a fall. Furthermore, compliant flooring has also decreased hip fracture risk without affecting balance. An integrated approach combining exercise program, wearing a hip protector, teaching safe landing strategies, scheduled vitamin D intake, and compliant flooring installation, is suggested to address fall-related injuries in older adults.

The grounding system design of the communication base station can be on the unfavorable conditions to induce the safe designing because of the limited area of the communication base station and the week point of surge caused by the given geographical condition such as the top point of mountain. In this paper, it is examined throughly about the way of safe designing that can reduce GPR(Ground Potential Rise) within the normal frequency band. And it is also considered the effective counter plan to cope with a transient phenomena that happen when surge of scores MHz-band inserted.

High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) power cables are capable of transmitting bulk power without any loss compared to conventional copper cables. The major challenge in the design of such HTS cables is the high stresses (electro-thermal/electro-mechanical) developed at high voltages, high currents and cryogenic temperatures. The safe and reliable operation of HTS cables involves lots of instrumentation for monitoring, measurement, control and safe operation. In principle, a four probe method for resistance (RTD PT-100) is used for temperature measurements at various locations of HTS cable. The number of connecting leads required for this is four times that of the number of sensors. The present paper discusses a novel way of connecting 128 RTD sensors with the help of only 14 leads using a cold electronics based multiplexer board. LabVIEW 11.0 software was used for interfacing and displaying the readings of all the sensors on computer screen.

A variable release torque-based compliance spring-clutch (VCSC) is presented. VCSC is a safe joint to reduce the impact of collisions between humans and robots. It is composed of four functional plates, balls, springs to make some functions in compliant movement, release mechanism, gravity compensation during its work. Also, it can estimate torque applied to a joint by using distance sensor and parameters of cam profile. The measured variable torque of prototype is 4.3~7.6 Nm and release torque is 4.3 Nm. In our future studies, a calibration for torque estimation will be conducted.

An analysis is made of flow and rocket motion during a supersonic separation stage of air-launching rocket from the mother plane. Three-dimensional Euler and Navier-Stokes equations are numerically solved to analyze the steady/unsteady flow field around the rocket which is being separated from two cases of mother plane configuration: one is an idealized ogive-cylinder body and the other is a real F-4E Phantom. The simulation results clearly demonstrate the effect of shock-expansion wave interaction between the rocket and the mother plane. As a result, a design-guideline of supersonic air-launching rocket for the safe separation is proposed.

The thermochemical parameters for safe handling, storage, transport, operation and process design of flammable substances are explosion limit, flash point, autoignition temperatures(AITs), minimum oxygen concentration(MOC), heat of combustion etc.. Also it is necessary to know explosion limit at high temperature and pressure. For the safe handling of benzene, lower explosion limit(LEL) at $25^{\circ}C$, the temperature dependence of the explosion limits and flash point were investigated. And the AITs for benzene were experimented. By using the literatures data, the lower and upper explosion limits of benzene recommended 1.3 vol% and 8.0 vol%, respectively. This study measured relationship between the AITs and the ignition delay times by using ASTM E659-78 apparatus for benzene, and the experimental AIT of benzene was $583^{\circ}C$. The new equations for predicting the temperature dependence of the explosion limits of benzene is proposed. The values calculated by the proposed equations were a good agreement with the literature data.
