Au 나노 입자 마스크를 이용한 실리콘 반사방지막 제작

  • 반사 방지막은 LEDs, 태양전지, 센서 등의 광전소자의 효율을 향상시키는데 사용되고 있다. 일반적으로 사용되는 단층 또는 다층 박막의 반사방지막은 thermal expansion mismatch, adhesion, stability 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 단층 또는 다층 박막의 반사방지막 대신에 파장이하의 주기를 갖는 구조(subwavelength structure, SWS)의 반사방지막 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 입사되는 태양 스펙트럼의 파장보다 작은 주기를 갖는 SWS 구조는 Fresnel 반사율을 감소시켜 빛의 손실을 줄일 수 있다. 이러한 SWS 반사 방지막을 제작하기 위해서는 에칭 마스크가 필요하다. 에칭 마스크 제작을 위해서 사용되는 장비로는 홀로그램, 전자빔, 나노임프린트와 같은 리소그라피 방법이 있으나, 이들은 제작 비용이 고가이며 복잡한 기술을 필요로 한다. 따라서 본 실험에서는 리소그라피 방법보다 간단하고 저렴한 self-assembled Au 나노 입자 에칭 마스크를 이용한 실리콘 SWS 반사 방지막을 제작하여 구조적 및 광학적 특성을 연구하였다. Au박막은 열증발증착(thermal evaporator)법에 의해 실리콘 기판 위에 증착되었고, 급속 열처리(rapid thermal annealing, RTA)를 통해 Au 나노입자 에칭 마스크를 형성시켰다. 실리콘 SWS 반사방지막은 식각 가스 $SiCl_4$를 기반의 유도결합 플라즈마(inductively coupled plasma, ICP) 장비를 사용하여 제작되었다. Au 나노 입자의 마스크 패턴 및 에칭된 실리콘 SWS 프로파일은 scanning electron microscope를 사용하여 관찰하였으며, UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer를 사용하여 300-1100 nm 파장 영역에 따른 반사율을 측정하였다. ICP 에칭 조건을 변화시켜 가장 낮은 반사율을 갖는 최적화된 실리콘 SWS 반사방지막을 도출하였다. 최적화된 구조에 대해서, 실리콘 SWS 반사방지막은 벌크 실리콘 (>35%)보다 더 낮은 5% 이하의 반사율을 나타냈다.

A study of corrosion of welded bridge steel SWS400 in the acid-rain environment (산성비 분위기에서 교량용 강재 SWS400의 용접부 부식에 관한 연구)

  • Corrosion behavior of welded SWS400 steel used for bridges was studied in a range of the acid-rain environment using immersion, potentiodynamic polartization, polarization resistance, and galvanic corrosion tests. The SWS400 steel exhibited active corrosion behavior in the range of acid-rain environment, i.e. no passivation. As the results of immersion corrosion test, Tafel extrapolation method, and polarization resistance measurement, the average corrosion rats of the steels were 0.31-0.72 mm/year in the pH of 4-5, and 0.17 mm/yera in the pH 6, respectively. The steel showed a resistance to corrosion in the pH 6. The observed active behavior of SWS400 steel in chloride-containing environment indicated that the chloride ions exerts a detrimental influence on the formation of passive films. Galvanic corrosion was observed between the weld and the base metals because the weld is anodic to the base metal.

  • This study was performed In evaluate sleep efficiencies and conditions for comfortable sleep based on the analysis of Physiological signals under variations in thermal conditions. Five female subjects who have similar life cycle and sleep patterns were participated for the sleep experiment. It was checked whether they had a good sleep before the night of experiment. EEGs were obtained from C3-A2 and C4-A1 electrode sites and EOGs were acquired from LOC (left outer canthus) and ROC (right outer canthus) for REM sleep detection. Sleep stages were classified, then TST (total sleep time), SWS (slow wave sleep) latency and SWS/TST were calculated for the evaluation of sleep efficiencies on thermal conditions. TST was defined as an amount of time from sleep stage 1 to wakeup. SWS latency was from light off time to sleep stage 3 and percentage of SWS over TST was calculated for the evaluation of sleep quality and comfort sleep under thermal conditions. As result, the condition which raise a room temperature provided comfortable sleep.

  • This study was performed to evaluate sleep efficiencies and conditions for comfortable sleep based on the analysis of EEGs and MST under four thermals conditions. Five female subjects who have similar life cycle and sleep patterns were participated for the sleep experiment. Their age was from 20 to 22 years old. They were healthy, and had regular sleep with consistent bed and wakeup time. It was checked whether they had a good sleep before the night of experiment. Experiments were performed in an environmental chamber of $4.1\times4.9\times2.7m$ size. EEGs were obtained from C3-A2 and C4-Al electrode sites. Sleep stages were classified, then TST, SWS latency and SWS/TST were calculated for the evaluation for sleep efficiencies on thermal conditions. As results, it was concluded that indoor thermal environments of $24\~26^{\circ}C$ was the best for comfortable and deep sleep.

This study was carried out an SWS 490A high tension steel for electric shielded metal arc welding(SMAW), $CO_2$ gas arc welding and TIG welding. And correspondingly, the root openings are 3, 4 and 2.8mm. The results of the tensile test of weld HAZ come out electric shield arc welding $>\;CO_2$ gas arc welding > TIG welding in case of single welding. It is believed that this is a phenomenon where difference of its root opening or base metal thickness. Also, the technique of AE is ideally suited to study variables which control time and stress dependent fracture or damage process in metallic materials.

  • The object of this study is to investigate the effect of compounded welding through the AE(Acoustic Emission) characteristics for weld HAZ(Heat Affected Zone) under the static tensile test. This study was carried out an SWS 490A, high tension steel for electric shield metal arc welding(SMAW), $CO_2$ gas arc welding and TIG welding. Data displays are based on the measured parameters of the AE signals, along with environmental variables such as time and load. The accumulated AE event curve of HAZ definitely have the point of inflection subject to tensile test. The results of the tensile test of HAZ come out electric shield arc welding >$CO_2$ gas arc welding>TIG welding in case of single welding, but generally the tensile test of HAZ come out electric shield arc welding> TIG welding > $CO_2$ gas arc welding. These history plots give us useful and powerful information to analyze the results of material evaluation testing.

  • 본 연구에서는 트러스 구조물의 이산최적설계를 위해 유전알고리즘(GA)을 적용하였다. 확률론적인 절차를 통해 설계에 필요한 초기 집단을 생성시킨 후, 설계를 개선시키기 위해서 자연선택 및 적자생존의 원리를 적용하였다. 다하중조건 하에서 트러스 구조물의 중량 최소화를 위해 응력 및 변위 제약을 고려하였다. 먼저, 이미 잘 알려진 트러스 구조물에 대해서 GA를 이용하여 얻은 최적해와 기존 문헌들에서 제시하고 있는 값들을 비교함으로써 GA의 신뢰성 및 적용성을 검증하였고, 이러한 신뢰성 검증을 바탕으로 사용성 있는 트러스 구조물의 이산최적설계를 위해 현재 생산중인 강재제원표로부터 부재가 선택되도록 하였다. 강재의 단면으로는 L형강을 사용하였으며, L형강의 강종은 9개의 강종들 (SS 400, SWS 400, SMA 41, SWS 490Y, SWS 520, SMA 50, SWS 570, SMA 58) 중에서 설계자에 의해 자유롭게 선택되도록 하였다.

The Protective Effects of Seokchangpowonji-san on $H_2O_2$-Mediated Cell Death of Neuro 2A as an Alzheimer Model System (산화적 손상에 의한 Neuro 2A 치매모델에서 석창포원지산의 방어효과)

  • Objective : The water extract of Seokchangpowonji-san (SWS) has traditionally been used for treatment of dementia in oriental medicine. However, little is known about the mechanism by which the water extract of SWS rescues cells from neurodegenerative disease such as Alzheimer's disease. Methods & Results: This study was designed to investigate the protective mechanisms of SWS on $\beta-amyloid$ or $H_2O_2$-induced$ cytotoxicity in neuro 2A cells. $H_2O_2$ markedly decreased the viability of neuro 2A cells, which was characterized by apparent apoptotic features such as membrane blebbing as well as fragmentation of genomic DNA and nuclei. However, the water extract of SWS significantly reduced $H_2O_2-induced$ cell death and apoptotic characteristics through reduction of intracellular peroxide generation. Also, the. extract prevented the mitochondrial dysfunction including the disruption of mitochondria membrane permeability transition (MPT) and the modulation in expression of Bcl-2 family proteins in $H_2O_2­treated$ neuro 2A cells. Furthermore, pretreatment with SWS inhibited the activation of caspase-3, and in turn, degradation of ICAD/DFF45 was completely abolished in $H_2O_2-treated$ cells. Conclusion: Taken together, the data suggest that the protective effects of the water extract of SWS against $\beta-amyloid$ induced oxidative injuries may be achieved through modulation of mitochondrial dysfunction.

Effect of Installing a Selective Withdrawal Structure for the Control of Turbid Water in Soyang Reservoir (탁수조절을 위한 소양호 선택취수설비 설치 효과 분석)

  • One of the most important water management issues of Soyang Reservoir, located in North Han River in Korea, is a long term discharge of turbid water to downstream during flood season. Installation of a selective withdrawal structure (SWS) is planned by the reservoir management institute as a control measure of outflow water quality and associated negative impacts on downstream water use and ecosystem. The objective of the study was to explore the effectiveness of the SWS on the control of outflow turbidity under two different hydrological years; one for normal flood year and another for extreme flood year. A two-dimensional (2D), laterally averaged hydrodynamic and water quality model (CE-QUAL-W2) was set up and calibrated for the reservoir and used to evaluate the performance of the proposed SWS. The results revealed that the SWS can be an effective method when the ${\Theta}$ value, the ratio between the amount of turbid water that containing suspended sediment (SS) greater than 25 mg/L and the total storage of the reservoir, is 0.59 during the normal flood year. However, the effectiveness of the SWS could be marginal or negative in the extreme flood year when ${\Theta}$ was 0.83. The results imply that the SWS is an effective alternative for the control of turbid water for moderate flood events, but not a sufficient measure for large flood events that are expected to happen more often in the future because of climate change.
