Distance Based Aeronautical Communication TDMA MAC for Increasing Transmission Rate (전송률 향상을 위한 거리정보 기반 VHF Data Link MAC 기법)

  • VDL(VHF Data Link) Mode E uses TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) based aeronautical communication technologies for airborne environments. In the VDL Mode E, aircraft uses RR(Reservation Requests) slot to request data slot. However, RR needs a long guard time, since aircraft communication spans a considerable distance. The more number of aircrafts causes a larger amount of guard times which can make a throughput decreased. In this paper, we propose an enhanced MAC to reduce the guard time by using the distance information of aircraft. The ground station sends management data including time stamp. And then all aircraft can measure their distance from the ground station.

  • Three-Dimensional finite element analysis is performed using PAM-STAMP for design evaluation of automotive back door inner panel die. Gravity process by blanks own weight, binder-wrap process, and drawing process in the forming operations are sequentially simulated with Virtual Manufacturing Method. The most valuable result in this research is that 3-D FEM analysis can be applied to the design evaluation of draw die in the die try-out, though effects of mesh size and drawbead resistance force on the numerical accuracy are much sensitive. For the intensive application to draw-die design and try-out, the experimental know-hows about the forming variables such as friction coefficient, punch velocity, drawbead force, etc are necessary.

  • Currently tube hydroforming has many studies and applications in manufacturing industry, especially in automotive industry. But tube hydroforming was applied to the automotive component with simple shape. So the manufacturer and the researcher proposed additional processes to form the automotive component with complex shape. It is prebending and preforming. Prebending is to crush bend or rotary draw bend a tubular blank into a shape that facilitates placement into the next forming tool. Preforming is where the prebent tube is crushed into a shape that facilitates placement into the final forming tool. This paper analyzed and compared to the tube hydroforming process to using of general and preformed bending tube, also explained the importance of tube bending and preforming process. The explicit finite element program PAM-STAMP$\^$TM/ was used to simulate the tube hydroforming operations.

  • In this study, optimization for press forming condition of low arm was performed with explicit dynamic FEM code, Pam-Stamp. FEM simulation was coupled with the Taguchi's experiment technique having three design variables - friction coefficient, plastic anisotropy parameter, and blank shape - which are chosen to be optimized. The simulation results were compared with those of experiment. We found out the change of blank shape among these three design variables is very effective in optimizing press forming condition of low arm. In addition, the modified blank shape shows high yield of slitting coil.

  • Hot stamping is a forming method that offers various advantages such as superior mechanical properties, good formability, and very small springback. However, relatively large-sized parts, such as front pillars, exhibit poor formability when hot stamped due to the limited material flow and thickness reduction imparted by the process. This reduction in thickness can also lead to cracks. One of the reasons is the relatively high friction between the sheet and the die. In this study, in order to obtain the optimal conditions for hot stamping of front pillars, various process parameters were studied and analyzed using the sheet forming software, J-STAMP. The effects of various parameters such as the die structure, blank shape, blank holding force, punch speed, clearance(upper and lower dies) and distance block were analyzed and compared.

  • In the automobile development, press tool design and manufacturing are very difficult and need high cost experienced workers. Therefore, we concerned ourselves in the cost down and easy manufacturing. In this research, we have developed a tool for LH/RH of the front fender, which had difficulty in forming. We have carried out the drawing analysis by Pam-stamp and CATIA modeling. Finally, we get the optimal design parameter. As a result of try out, we found out the optimal width and margin at the center line for tool design. Also, in order to get good results we have to intaglio margin in the part of the wheel house and utilize double bead on every side except corner.

  • This study shows the process design and forming analysis of permalloy shielding can that support the automobile multi-display parts to indicate the accurate information of car. This study is particularly important, since the accuracy of permalloy shielding can is known to affect the magnetic properties such as coercivity and permeability quite sensitively. The objective functions are defects such as hemming wind, hemming length, hemming wrap and tightness in prehemming process. The pre-hemming angle is considered as design parameter. The commercial finite element program PAM-STAMP™ was used to simulate the pre-hemming and hemming process. The ANN (Artificial Neural Network) has been implemented for minimizing of objective function and for investigating effect of punch angle relevant to the pre-hemming process. The results of analysis to validate the proposed design method are presented.

A Watermarking Technique Using Means and Differences of Neighboring Wavelet Transform Coefficient Pairs (이웃한 웨이브릿 변환 계수 쌍의 평균과 차이를 이용한 워터마킹 기법)

  • In this paper, an efficient watermarking technique in wavelet transform domain is proposed. Watermarking is embedding a digital signal called as 'watermark' into images to claim the ownership. In the proposed method, the image is 1-level wavelet transformed, and then the watermark with a binary stamp is embedded into the baseband. The watermark is embedded by inverting the polarities of he selected coefficient paris. In the inverting process, we can increase image quality by finding means and differences of the selected neighboring coefficient paris, and then adding values, which are inversely proportional to the differences, to th means. The experimental results show that the proposed method has good quality and is robust to various attacks such as the JPEG lossy comparison, noise addition, clipping, blurring, etc.

  • 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 이동 호스트는 무선 망의 제한된 대역폭을 효율적으로 사용하기 위하여 캐쉬를 사용한다. 지금까지 제안된 캐쉬 관리 방법에서의 문제점은 캐쉬에서 필요한 데이터를 즉각적으로 캐쉬하였을 때 이동 트랜잭션의 직렬성이 위배될 수 있다는 것이다. 또한 서버와 이동 호스트에서 수행되는 트랜잭션의 스케쥴링 방법을 다룬 연구들이 많지 않다. 그 중 록을 이용한 스케쥴링 방법에서는 트랜잭션의 스케쥴링을 위하여 서버와 이동 호스트 사이에서 부가적인 메시지 교환을 필요로 하고, 교착상태가 발생할 수있다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 캐쉬를 사용하는 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에 적합한 트랜잭션의 스케쥴링 방법에 대하여 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 록을 사용한 방법에서 발생하는 부가적인 메시지 교환을 줄이기 위하여 타임스탬프를 이용하며, 서버에 다중버전을 유지함으로써 늦게 제출된 이동 트랜잭션이나 장기간에 걸쳐 수행되는 이동 트랜잭션의 완료율을 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한 이동 호스트의 타임스탬프에 따라 버전을 접근할 수 있게 하여 즉각적인 캐슁으로 인하여 발생할수 있는 문제점을 해결하고 , 수행되는 트랜잭션의 직렬가능한 수행을 보장한다.

The Prediction of Defection for the Shape Fixability on the Stamped Lead Frame (반도체 리드프레임의 형상 동결성에 관한 연구)

  • IC lead frame needs the precision shape for good efficiency. In the blanking process, there are many parameter effected the dimensional accuracy : lead width, blanking order, striper force, tool clearance etc. In this research, the4 undesirable defects appeared in the final blanking process. so we measured the deflection of lead according to the stripper force using $PAM-STAMP_{TM}$. In the result, the deflection was decreased by increasing the stripper force properly. and we changed the blanking order on the test model. In the blanking order, deflection is good from the outer line position blanking to center line position. so we can design the precision die without tryout by the prediction of the lead deflection.
