MTS기법을 이용한 차량 D단 소음의 음질 평가 및 음질 등급화 구축 (Sound Quality Evaluation and Grade Construction of the Level D Noise for the Vehicle Using MTS)

  • The reduction of the Vehicle interior noise has been the main interest of NVH engineers. The driver's perception on the vehicle noise is affected largely by psychoacoustic characteristic of the noise as well as the SPL. The previous methods to evaluation of the SQ about vehicle interior noise are linear regression analysis of subjective SQ metrics by statistics and the estimation of the subjective SQ values by neural network. But these are so depended on jury test very much that they result in many difficulties. So, to reduce jury test weight, we suggested a new method using Mahalanobis distance for SQ evaluation. And, optimal characteristic values influenced on the result of the SQ evaluation were derived by signal to noise ratio(SN ratio) of the Taguchi method. Finally, the new method to evaluate SQ is constructed using Mahalanobis-Taguchi system(MTS). Furthermore, the MTS method for SQ evaluation was compared by the result of SQ grade table at the previous study and their virtues and faults introduced.

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 철도 차량의 주행 속도 150~300km/h에서 발생하는 음압을 마이크로폰을 이용하여 측정하고, 주행 속도의 증가에 따라 발생하는 음압의 특성을 분석하였다. 분석된 결과를 통해서 고속철도 차량의 속도 증가와 음압의 관계식을 도출하였으며, 주파수 영역에서 속도 증가에 따른 음압의 증가 특성을 검토하였다. 또한 주행소음 분석을 통해서 고속철도 차량의 주요 소음 발생 위치를 추정하였으며, 마이크로폰 어레이를 활용한 소음지도 분석을 통해서 고속철도 차량의 소음원의 위치를 도출하였다.

  • 기존의 소음계측 장치가 유동장 및 구조적 진동의 영향을 받을 수 있어 개선이 요구되었다. 새로이 설계된 2개의 Hydrophone Box에 수중청음기를 설치하여 성능을 검증하였으며, KRISO 캐비테이션 터널과 외국의 다른 캐비테이션 터널들과 배경소음 특성을 비교하였다. 현재의 실험결과로 미루어 프로펠러 캐비테이션 소음의 실선성능 예측이 가능하다고 사료되며, 저주파에서의 특성이 개선되었음을 알 수 있었다.

소음이 외국어 학습에 미치는 영향 (Noise Effects on Foreign Language Learning)

  • In a noisy class, the acoustic-phonetic features of the teacher and the perceptual features of learners are changed comparison with a quiet environment. Acoustical analyses were carried out on a set of French monosyllables consisting of 17 consonants and three vowel /a, e, i/, produced by 1 male speaker talking in quiet and in 50, 60 and 70 dB SPL of masking noise on headphone. The results of the acoustic analyses showed consistent differences in energy and formant center frequency amplitude of consonants and vowels, $F_1$ frequency of vowel and duration of voiceless stops suggesting the increase of vocal effort. The perceptual experiments in which 18 undergraduate female students learning French served as the subjects, were conducted in quiet and in 50, 60 dB of masking noise. The identification scores on consonants were higher in Lombard speech than in normal speech, suggesting that the speaker's vocal effort is useful to overcome the masking effect of noise. And, with increased noise level, the perceptual response to the French consonants given had a tendency to be complex and the subjective reaction score on the noise using the vocabulary representative of 'unpleasant' sensation to be higher. And, in the point of view on the L2(second language) acquisition, the influence of L1 (first language) on L2 examined in the perceptual result supports the interference theory.

제진재의 최적배치를 이용한 차량공조시스템의 음질개선 (Improvement of Sound Quality for the Vehicle HVAC System Using Optimum Layout of Damping Material)

  • The reduction of the Vehicle interior noise has been the main interest of NVH engineers. The driver's perception on the vehicle noise is affected largely by psychoacoustic characteristic of the noise as well as the SPL. In particular, the HVAC sound among the vehicle interior noise has been reflected sensitively in the side of psychology. In previous study, we have developed to verify identification of source for the vehicle HVAC system through multiple-dimensional spectral analysis. Also we carried out objective assessments on the vehicle HVAC noises and subjective assessments have been already performed with 30 subjects. In this study, the linear regression models were obtained for the subjective evaluation and the sound quality metrics. The regression procedure also allows you to produce diagnostic statistics to evaluate the regression estimates including appropriation and accuracy. Appropriation of regression model is necessary to $R^2$ value and F-value. And testing for regression model is necessary to independence, homoscedesticity and normality. Also we selected optimum layout of damping material using Taguchi method. As a result of application, sound quality is improved more quietly, powerfully, even though costly, and smoothly.

음파가 고정액적의 증발/연소에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of acoustic wave on the evaporation/combustion of suspended droplet)

  • 본 연구에서는 대기압하에서 외부교란이 고정 연료액적(jet A-1)의 증발/연소에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험연구 결과이다. 연구결과, 탄화수소계 연료인 제트유(jet A-1)액적은 크기에 상관없이 일정한 증발률 상수 $k_{e'}$ 연소율 상수 $k_c$를 유지하였다 또한, 액적의 증발률 및 연소율 상수 $k_{e'}k_c$를 증가시키기 위해서는 적절한 음파의 주파수 및 진폭영역이 존재하였으며, $80Hz\leqf\leq100Hz, 80\leqSPL\leq110$에서 각각 외부교란이 없을 때보다 1.2~1.51배, 1.04~l.42배 만큼 증가하였다.

Enhancement of Sound Clarity of Classrooms Using Sound Diffusers and Panel Absorbers

  • The present study aims to investigate the effects of sound diffusers and absorbers on the sound clarity in classrooms. In order to do this, computer simulations were carried out to find the effective area of treatment which could enhance the sound clarity in the room. Acoustic measurements were undertaken in a lecture room with several conditions changing the surface of walls and ceilings with diffusers and absorbers. Diffusion and absorption treatments were applied to the side walls, rear wall and the ceiling of the classroom. SPL, RT, D50, RASTI were measured at 9 measurement points with one sound source and MLS was used as the sound source signal. The results show that higher sound clarity was obtained when diffusers were applied to rear walls and ceiling rather than side walls. Also, it was confirmed that absorption increased sound clarity more effectively with smaller amount in comparison with diffusers. It was also concluded that the effects of sound diffusers and absorbers on the sound clarity could be obtained distinctly at the rear area of the classroom.

기하음향 기법을 적용한 한국형 고속철도 실내소음 저감 방안 (Reducing the Interior Noise of the Korean High-speed Train Using Geometric Acoustic Method)

  • The interior sound pressure level of the Korean high-speed train(KHST) is predicted by geometrical acoustic method. For the Purpose of assuring the prediction of Interior noise of KHST by the geometrical acoustic scheme, calculated sound level values of the Korean train express(KTX) by Identical geometrical method are compared with measured values of KTX prototype vehicle by experiment. Contribution of individual sound source of KHST vehicle Into the interior response positions is calculated and sound sources are classified in influential order. Hence, it is reasonable approach to reduce sound power of most contributing noise source first. Sensitivity of the interior response position's sound pressure level (SPL) with respect to train wall sections' transmission loss are carried on and acoustically sensitive spot is identified, for example window area for passenger cabin case. Those contribution and sensitivity analysis results are suggested to design quieter train efficiently.

비정상 점성유동 해석에 의한 부등피치 횡류홴의 BPF 순음 주파수 변조 특성 예측 (Prediction of Frequency Modulation of BPF Tonal Noise for Random Pitch Cross-Flow Fans by Unsteady Viscous Flow Computations)

  • The unsteady flow characteristics and associated blade tonal noise of a cross-flow fan are predicted by computational methods. The incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are time-accurately solved for obtaining the pressure fluctuations between the rotating blades and the stabilizer. and the sound pressure is predicted using Curie's equation. The discrete noise characteristics of three impellers with a uniform and two random pitch (type-A and -B) blades are compared by their SPL (Sound Pressure Level) spectra. and the frequency modulation characteristics of the BPF (Blade Passing Frequency) noise are discussed. Besides. a mathematical model is proposed for the prediction of discrete blade tonal noise and is validated with available experimental data. The fan performance is also compared with experimental data. indicating that the random pitch effect does not significantly alter the performance characteristics at ${\phi}$ 〉 0.4

이동통신 단말기용 통합 영구 자석 형태의 마이크로스피커 개발 (Development of Combined Permanent Magnet Type Microspeakers Used for Mobile Phones)

  • In mobile phones of multimedia era, microspeakers of high qualify sound are essential parts to generate human voice in speaker phone and MP3 song player. In this paper, two types of microspeakers, outer permanent magnet (PM) and combined PM type, are analyzed using electromagnetic, mechanical and their coupling analysis. For performance comparison, voice coil diameter is chosen as a design parameter to change excitation position and magnet volume for both types. For combined PM type, sound pressure level (SPL) is improved due to increased PM volume compared to outer PM type. Also, with the decreased voice coil diameter for combined PM type, the 1st resonant mode of the diaphragm is more efficiently excited due to concentrative excitation, resulting in lower and broader frequency range. Therefore, it can be said that the combined PM type microspeakers are more advantageous for high performance microspeaker which are essential for multimedia era.
