소비자 니드를 위한 한국형 SPA의 Fast Fashion (Development of Korean Style SPA of Fast Fashion for Consumer Needs)

  • The consideration of the effective corresponding system is required to enhance expectation of consumers and satisfy consumer needs in response to recent fashion market trend showing polarized phenomena. One of the solutions is to establish Korean style SPA brand which not only utilizes traditional fashion markets and but also adopt a production system of the fast fashion. A traditional market can provide some advantages such as low price, a variety of items in an integrated buildings, fast propagation of fashion trends and a flexible production system reflecting consumer's need immediately. The production system of fast fashion has integrated system of planning, manufacturing and distributing to provide trendy products with low price on time. Therefore, The Korean style SPA offers trendy, cheap and chic clothing to customers as quickly as possible.

캐주얼 의류 브랜드의 상품 공급 특성에 관한 연구 - SPA 특성을 중심으로 - (A Study on a Product Supply of Casual Apparel Brands - Focused on SPA Characteristics -)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the SPA(Specialty store retailer of Private label Apparel) characteristics and product supply process of Korean casual apparel brands. The research was conducted by questionnaire surveys to 63 casual apparel brands. SPA characteristics of each brand were measured with four SPA characteristic indices: short product supply cycle, spacious retail floor, single brand retail store, and low product price compared to the quality of the product. The 63 apparel brands were grouped by SPA index score. The brands belonged to group H had high index score and brands in group L had low index score. The results of this study showed that the most of the casual apparel brands' products were sold at department stores, especially the brands belonged to group L greatly depended on department stores. Few apparel brands have spacious retail floor. The retail product price of the brands belonged to group H was low price while the product price of the brands belonged to group L was in the medium-high price. The supply time of the new products was short in general. The most brands supplied new styles to the retail floor within 1 to 3 weeks. The information technology was heavily used. The brands belonged to group H highly used information technology including bar codes system, pas data analysis, and inventory control system. The current style trends were analyzed with street fashion and feedback from the shop managers.

패션전공 대학생의 의류관리 및 업사이클링 패션에 대한 인식 조사 (A Survey on the Management of Clothes and the Perception of Up-cycling Fashion Based on the University Students Majoring Fashion)

  • This study investigates the management of clothes and the perception of up-cycling fashion based on university students majoring in fashion. Results based on 124 survey participants are as follows. First, students prioritized design when buying clothes and regarded texture as important for material. In managing clothes, male students emphasized durability; however, female participants checked fluff occurrence. Second, more than half of the respondents knew what up-cycling fashion was; overall, female students were more aware of up-cycling fashion than males. Few students purchased up-cycling clothes; however, many were willing to buy up-cycling clothes for eco-friendliness, which implies that they understood the relations between up-cycling fashion and environment. Third, pertaining to the perception of SPA fashion, students were highly satisfied with the accessibility of SPA brand stores. The group of students who knew up-cycling fashion were more satisfied with SPA brands and indicated o correlation between the cognition of up-cycling brands and preference for SPA brands. Last, in terms of the perception of environment and clothing, university students majoring fashion recognized the need for environmental protection; however, they did not emphasize environment when purchasing or managing clothes.

소비자 활동 지표를 통한 국내외 스포츠, SPA 패션 브랜드의 페이스북 활용 사례연구 (Case Study of Using Facebook of Each Type of Internal and External Sports and SPA Fashion Brands)

  • This study selected a case study method conforming to qualitative research in order to analyzed how each type of fashion enterprises uses SNS in-side of fashion marketing based on content the researcher monitored and selected from the Facebook website for each enterprise. The standard to select fashion brands in this study is a graded list made based on ranking 5 analysis sites on social media (Socialbakers, socialDigm, Pulse K, BigFoot9, L2). The researcher sorted and then analyzed 2 brands that have many fan joiners and followers among fashion brands that were ranked top of the graded list, work in Facebook animatedly, and had representativeness in each type (SPA, Sports Brands). The study was conducted from January 2013 to March 2013, and the index of Facebook consisted of 3 kinds of elements (comment, like, and share). Each numerical value was counted to decide the monthly ranking. Content analysis was divided into public relations about brand, public relations about products, and customer participation and activities; consequently, the researcher investigated which content was post conforming to the ranking. The study analyzed the analysis results of each brand derived through the method of study compared to other brands. The results are as follows. In case of SPA brands, the category accounting for high rank in index analysis are public relation events to attract customer attention and products and offering information. The results of the monthly trend about whole post category were also similarly analyzed so the promotion goal that the brand wants to seek in priority coincides with the customer compliance rate. Next, in the case of sports brand, public relations for products offering information, event for arousing customer concern, and participation activities accounted for a high rank in the index analysis and posted the most in the analysis of the monthly trend for whole post category. The researcher came to understand that the direction of content for brands shown through Facebook coincides with customer sympathy.

패션 브랜드의 레트로 마케팅 유형이 레트로 특성 지각과 노스탤지어 감정에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Fashion Brands' Retro Marketing Types on Retro Characteristics Perception and Nostalgia Emotions)

  • This study examined the types of retro marketing of fashion brands and explored the difference in retro characteristics and nostalgic emotions. Additionally, the effects of retro characteristics on nostalgic emotions and the influence of nostalgic emotions on brand attitude were examined. A total of 33 fashion brands, including eight designer brands, 10 sports and outdoor brands, 11 casual brands, and four SPA brands were investigated to categorize the retro marketing types. An online survey was also conducted of respondents in their 20s to 50s, and a total of 363 responses were analyzed using SPSS 26.0. The results were as follows. First, the retro marketing of fashion brands was categorized into four types including brand heritage marketing, retro design marketing, retro emotional experience-oriented marketing, and brand collaboration marketing. The four retro marketing types showed differences in retro characteristics and nostalgic emotions. Second, the retro characteristics consisted of four dimensions including familiarity, attractiveness, uniqueness, and historicity. Nostalgic emotions consisted of four dimensions including sadness, longingness, comfort, and pleasure. Third, the results showed that familiarity and attractiveness had significant effects on comfort and pleasure, while uniqueness and historicity had significant effects on longingness. Fourth, the results showed that longingness, comfort, and pleasure had positive effects on brand attitude, whereas sadness had a negative effect on brand attitude.

의류매장의 디지털 사이니지 속성과 콘텐츠 유형이 몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Digital Signage Attributes and Content Type on Flow in Apparel Stores)

  • This study analyzes and categorize the types of digital signage content using the case study method as well as explores the moderating effects of digital signage content in the relationship between digital signage attributes and consumer's flow using the empirical study method. For a case study, the total of 38 fashion brands, including 10 designer brands, 14 sports and outdoor brands, 6 casual brands and 8 SPA brands were investigated. For an empirical study, the virtual store with two types of digital signage contents was developed. Then, the online survey was conducted with 20s to 40s respondents and a total of 544 responses were analyzed using SPSS 24.0. The study results were as follows. First, digital signage in fashion store were categorized into four types by its content; brand-centric type, product-centric type, compound type, and promotional type. Second, digital signage consists of three attributes such as attractiveness, informativity, and entertainment. Third, the results showed that attractiveness and entertainment had a significant effect on consumer's flow. The type of digital signage content was also shown to moderate the influence of attractiveness and consumer's flow.

할인점의 의류PB 상품전략에 관한 연구 (A Research on Private apparel Brand's Product Strategy in Discounted Stores.)

  • 외환위기 이후 급격한 출점과 성장을 해온 대형마트 점포수가 이미 포화상태에 이르렀다는 우려의 목소리도 있지만 신규 출점은 계속적으로 지속될 전망이고 향후 대형마트 성장세는 둔화되나 점포수 등 외형적 성장은 계속되는 가운데 상품 차별화 추구, 고객니즈부응, 고마진획득 등이 지속적으로 가능해져 PB상품 개발이 불황 국면 극복을 위한 저성장 시대의 마케팅 전략의 하나로 자리 잡을 것으로 전망 된다. 또한 국내 3대 대형마트가 의류PB 브랜드를 계속적으로 출시, 확장하고 있는 상황과 운영전략에 대해 연구하고 이를 바탕으로 국내 대형마트의 PB의 성공사례와 문제점을 도출하여 PB의 필요성에 대해 차별화와 고이익 창출을 위한 성공적 전략 방안을 논의 하고자 한다. 본 연구는 대형 마트 PB의 개념과 전략 방안 및 성공사례와 전망을 살펴보고, 현재 전 세계적으로 빠른 성장을 보이는 PB를 단순히 유통업체가 상품을 유통시키면 된다는 제한된 역할 수행에서 벗어나, 제조업체가 지닌 유통 채널에 대한 지배력을 얻을 수 있다는 것을 의미 확장하여 설명하고자 한다. 이미 세계 주요 선진유통업체들은 자사의 상품차별화와 수익성향상을 위해 PB상품 개발에 많은 노력을 쏟고 있으며, 이를 통해 다국적전략 및 외형적 확장, 더불어 높은 재무성과를 창출하고 있는 좋은 사례는 쉽게 접할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 할인점의 포화에 따른 새로운 대안을 위해서는 차별화된 PB운영 전략이 필요함을 국내3개 주요할인점 사례를 통해 제시하였다. 특히 의류 PB상품은 철저한 시장분석과 디자인트렌드 및 고객니즈를 반영한 상품개발로 차별화된 상품력 및 고마진 획득을 통해 출점 정체된 대형마트 지속성장에 새로운 돌파구를 마련하는 좋은 계기를 줄 수 있는 시사점을 제공하여 할인점 출점 한계에 따른 새로운 상품전략 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 할인점 주요 3개사의 경영실적과 세계 몇 개국의 대표적인 PB성공사례를 중심으로 연구하여 국내 전체 소매 산업에 일반화하기에는 다소 무리가 있다. 향후에는 국내에 입점된 다국적 SPA 브랜드와 국내 할인점 PB를 중심으로 비교분석하여 가치를 극대화한 의류PB 확대전략에 대한 추가연구가 필요하다.

Suggestion on Chinese Clothing Market Launching : Focused on Foreign Students's Clothing Buying Behavior in Korea

  • This paper is a study on the information required for developing Korean clothing products intended for Chinese students in Korea and for opening markets of Korean clothing and brands in China. It analyses the buying behaviors, purchasing ability, the favourite apparel type for clothing, and satisfaction with Korean clothing and brands of Chinese students in Korea, with which it seeks a program for South Korea branding to enter into the Chinese clothing market. Three hundred fifty seven students of Hannam University and PaiChai University Chung nam National University in Daejeon-city took part in this study. This paper adopts Descriptive Analysis, Crossing Analysis, Bivariate Correlations, and One-way ANOVA in SPSS 17.0 with Post Hoc Multiple Comparisons to know about the impact of demographic variables of Chinese students in Korea on buying information sources, the criteria for store selection, buying capacity, praise degree on various properties of Korean clothes products and their satisfaction with Korean clothes products. The first proposal of expanding China market for Korean merchants is to achieve maximum sales based on sales promotion strategies, such as the credit card corporations, the store display and sales person service development, SPA, design size development, and to upgrade consumption values. The second proposal is Korean clothes corporations should open the Internet shopping corresponding to the physical stores, the most frequently used information source of Chinese students is the network, from the age distribution of Internet users in 2008 in China, population above 10 and below 30 accounts for 66.7% of all users, In recommending clothes made in Korea to Chinese young people, on-line advertising will get better effects than other strategies, specially during advertisement, they should take good use of Korean television shows and variety shows or help Chinese poor areas to do the social contribution hereby to improve the public image of Korean clothes corporations, which can bring good sale promotion effects as well.

여성용 스키니 진의 브랜드별 패턴 특성 연구 (Characteristics study of women's skinny jeans patterns by brand)

  • In the 2010s, skinny jeans were trendy, and they became a must-have for young women. The styles, clothing pressure and buying behavior of skinny jeans have been studied, but the patternmaking of skinny jeans has not been researched yet. To analyze skinny jeans patterns, we grouped skinny jeans into nine brands. They were sorted into three groups: special jeans brand, trendy jeans brand, and SPA brand. This study compared skinny jeans' sizing systems, product dimensions and pattern measurements in three brand groups. The appearance and fit of skinny jeans were evaluated by random groups of people in their 20s and 30s. The sizing systems for skinny jeans were different with KS K0051, and they were shown waist girth in inches. The waist and hip circumferences were different among brand groups. In product dimensions, trendy jeans brands had a shorter crotch length, a lower crotch depth, a narrower back crotch width, and a longer inseam than the others. The measurements of skinny jeans flat patterns were significantly different in as below; front crotch depth, front crotch height, front crotch length, back crotch extension, gap between back and front crotch depth, back crotch height, back crotch length, and center back angle. In the sensory survey results, trendy jeans brands were evaluated well in the fit of the waist line, hip line, crotch line, midthigh line, outseam, inseam, side waist line, crotch length and overall fit.

40대와 50대 중년 여성의 의복 착용 실태 및 맞음새 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Clothing Wearing Conditions and Fit for Middle-aged women in their 40s and 50s)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the general status of wearing clothes and clothing purchase of middle-aged women in the 40's to 50's, the patterns and colors of clothes they prefer, clothing preference related with fitting or such, and also complaints. And this paper also divides the middle-aged women into those in the 40's and 50's to analyze how they differ in terms of the apparel brands and fitting they prefer and also the status of wearing clothes. For the research, a survey was performed to 350 women, and the survey data went through x2 and t-test analysis by using SPSS 20.0 to examine significant difference. The results of this study are as follows: the women in the 40's included as the subjects showed a high frequency of clothing purchase from casual brands or SPA brands and regarded design to be important at the clothing purchase. Meanwhile, the women in the 50's indicated a higher frequency of clothing purchase of middle-aged women's apparel brands, outdoor brands, madam clothes, or designer brands and thought activity to be crucial at the clothing purchase. As the women in the 40's and 50's showed difference in the brands they preferred, particularly the fitting indicated difference in terms of dissatisfaction. While those in the 40's preferring and buying young casual showed particularly more fitting problems in the arm-hole girth, upper arm circumference, bust size, and thigh or hip area, those in the 50's indicated fitting problems in the hip circumference or waist measurement. It is expected that this study will be used as foundational data to set up the target age by related apparel companies or develop clothes with great size fitting and design satisfaction.
