  • Since thermal paper is widely used in daily life such as convenience store receipts, lottery tickets and ATM receipts, it is important to develop fingerprints on thermal papers because it can be easily found in crime scenes. This study compared the ability of fingerprint development between vacuum metal deposition(VMD) and 1,2-indanedione(SOON-100) in order to evaluate the effectiveness of VMD, which some literatures have stated to be effective in thermal papers. As a result, in the case of SOON-100, clear ridges of fingerprints that enable individual identification were observed after an hour of deposition, although the fresh fingerprints were faint. In the case of VMD, the fingerprints gradually spread and the quality of the ridges deteriorated rapidly after 6 hours of deposition. This results is consistent with the principle of VMD. Considering the principles of VMD and the characteristics of the surface of thermal paper, VMD is not suitable for the development of potential fingerprints on the thermal paper.

  • This study presents basic knitted fabric data on the use of ply yarn with rayon yarn and eco-friendly/high-valued Hanji yarn. Physical properties (gauge, thickness, burst strength, air permeability, stiffness, Qmax, dimensional stability and surface image) of Hanji 100%, rayon 100% and Hanji/rayon 50:50 knitted fabrics are investigated. The results are as follows. Course direction of gauge decrease in the following order: rayon 100% > Hanji/rayon 50/50 > Hanji 100%. In addition wale direction of gauge decrease in the following order: Hanji 100% > Hanji/rayon 50/50 > rayon 50/50. Thickness and air permeability decrease in the following order: Hanji 100% > Hanji/rayon 50/50 > rayon 100%. Burst strength decrease in the following order: rayon 100% > Hanji 100% > Hanji/rayon 50/50. Stiffness and Qmax decrease in the following order: rayon 100% > Hanji/rayon 50/50 > Hanji 100%. Laundry for dimensional stability is knitted fabric with Hanji/rayon 50/50 than rayon 100% and Hanji 100% improved using neutral detergent and stable at $20^{\circ}C$. From surface image observation, the cracks of Hanji 100% and fibrils of rayon 100% decrease when using knitted fabric with Hanji/rayon 50/50.

  • In this paper, we have developed Organic light-emitting devices(OLEDs) using various thicknesses of new electron transport layer. The device structure of ITO/ 2-TNATA(15nm)/ DPVBi(40nm)/ New ETL(20nm,60nm,100nm)/ LiF(0.5nm)/Al(100nm) has been used. The operating voltage of the device was almost independent of the new ETL thickness, due to its high electron conducting property. For example, the operating voltages of the devices with 20nm and 60nm layers are almost 5V at a current density $200mA/cm^2$. The device with the new ETL shows the low turn-on of 2.5V.

  • To evaluate the clinical significance of lung ventilation scan using $^{99m}Tc-DTPA$ in patient with bronchiectasis, we compared the involovement area of bronchogram and lung ventilation scan according to lobar and segmental distribution. There were no correlation between impairment of pulmonary function test and the number of bronchiectatic lobe and segment(p>0.5). Lung ventilation scan showed 66.7% of sensivity, 100% of specificity, ana 91.7% of accuracy according to lobar distribution, and 51.9% of sensivity, 96.9% of specificity, and 88.9% of accuracy according to segmental distribution. These results suggest that lung ventilation scan can be used as diagnostic tool in patient with bronchiectasis in whom bronchogram is not tolerable.
