  • 스마트폰 어플리케이션은 소프트웨어의 평가를 구매자가 쉽게 확인 및 작성할 수 있어 품질이 매출에 직접적으로 영향을 끼쳐 소프트웨어의 품질을 향상시키기 위해서 테스트가 요구된다. 하지만 기존의 스마트폰 어플리케이션은 테스트 용이성을 고려하지 않고 개발되어 테스트를 위해 많은 비용이 증가한다. 본 논문은 이 문제를 해결하고자 소프트웨어 설계 단계에서 모델변환을 적용하여 테스트 용이성을 향상 시키는 방법을 제안한다. 대상 모델은 UML의 클래스 다이어그램이고 테스트 용이성 측정을 위해서 Binder방법을 사용한다. 적용사례로 안드로이드 기반의 소프트웨어인 SnakePlus를 구현하고, 이를 대상으로 설계 모델을 모델변환을 하여 테스트 용이성을 향상 시킨다.

  • 본 논문에서는 스네이크 알고리즘에서 복잡한 배경으로 인해 어긋난 윤곽선을 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 스네이크 알고리즘은 능동 윤곽선 모델(active contour model)중 하나로, 사전 정의한 영역에서 시작하여 점진적으로 강한 변화가 감지되는 방향으로 윤곽선을 수정하는 방법이다. 그러나 이러한 방법은 강한 기울기 성분이 나타나는 배경에 취약하고, 대상의 불필요한 영역이 포함되거나, 필요한 영역이 포함되지 않는 문제가 발생한다. 제안하는 방법은 이미지에 원근 변환을 기반으로 한 스네이크 알고리즘을 반복적으로 적용하여 대상의 윤곽선을 온전히 추출한다. 이는 실험 데이터에서 평균 IoU가 약 11.5% 이상 증가한 것을 통해 올바른 윤곽선을 찾는데 효과적인 방법임을 알 수 있다.

Interspecific Competition and spatial Ecology of three Species of Vipers in Korea: An Application of Ecological niche-based Models and GIS (한국산 살모사과 3종의 경쟁과 공간적 생태 - 생태적 지위를 기반으로 한 모델과 지리정보시스템 적용 -)

  • Knowledge of the relationships among interspecific competition, spatial distributions and ecological niches plays an important role in understanding biogeographical distribution patterns of species. In this study, the distributional characteristics and ecological niches of the three Viperidae species (Gloydius ussuriensis, G. brevicaudus, and G. saxatilis) in South Korea were determined based on observation data and species distribution model. The effects of interspecific competition on geographical distribution and the division of the ecological niches of the vipers were also examined based on the models of predicted species distribution. The results showed that altitude was the most important environmental variable for their distribution, and the altitudes at which these snakes were distributed correlated with the climate of that region. Although interspecific ecological niches are quite overlapped, their predicted distribution patternsvary by the Taebaek Mountains. When overlaying the distribution models, most of the overlapping habitats were forest areas, which were relatively less overlapped than were the entire research areas. Thus, a parapatric distribution pattern was expected. The abundance of species occurring sympatrically was positively correlated with each other, indicating the lack of serious interspecies competition in this region. In conclusion, although the three Viperidae species in South Korea occupy similar ecological niches, these snakes exhibit parapatric distribution patterns without direct competition. Further research on various geographic variables (e.g., altitude, microhabitat characteristics) using relatively fine grid sizes, as well as further detailed ecological and behavioral research, is needed to determine the causative factors for the parapatric distribution pattern.

A Study on the Naejeong (內庭) of Daesoon Jinrihoe Temple Complexes: Focusing on Literary Sources and Context (대순진리회 도장 건축물 내정(內庭)에 대한 연구 - 내정의 문헌 출처와 그 맥락을 중심으로 -)

  • The Naejeong, the inner court, which is one of the structures found in the temple complexes of Daesoon Jinrihoe. It serves the function of leading and controlling the operation and direction of Korean religions in general. Considering that the dictionary meaning of 'Naejeong' is 'a place to manage the affairs of the state from inside a palace,' the name and function of the structure appear to be in harmony. However, in the Daesoon Jinrihoe context, it is said that the name 'Naejeong (內庭 'Neiting' in Chinese)' is related to a verse from a Daoist scripture. It has not been revealed whether or not the scripture is historical, and what contents or contextual meanings it contains. This study tries to pursue this matter and introduce the original source of the Naejeong in Daesoon Jinrihoe as likely coming from Qianbapinxianjing (前八品仙經, The Former Scripture of the Eight Phases That Reveal the Means to Acquire Immortality). This scripture was compiled in Lüzu-quanshu(呂祖全書, The Entire Collection of Ancestor Lü). This text and its contextual meanings will also be examined. The origin of Qianbapinxianjing dates back to either the late Ming Dynasty or the early Qing. In those days, there existed a group of literati who worshipped Ancestor Lü because he had saved people and taught the art of immortality. The group organized Daoist Spirit-Writing Altars (鸞壇道敎) and invoked the spirit of Ancestor Lü. They were said to have been taught through messages received from spirit-writing sessions (降乩) with Ancestor Lü and several Daoist scriptures were composed by them in this manner. At Immortals-Gathering Pavilion (集仙樓) of Wandian (萬店) in Guangling (廣陵), China, some literati in that group conducted a spirit-writing session with Ancestor Lü between 1589 and 1626, and they produced a scripture which contained the passage, "A crow and a rabbit gather in the middle valley (烏兎結中谷) while a turtle entwined with a snake is in the inner court (龜蛇盤內庭)." They titled the scripture, The Five Movements and Filial Piety (五行端孝). This passage symbolically expresses the accomplishment of immortality in Neidan (internal alchemy) which, within the human body, combines the two energies of yin and yang which are Water and Fire in the Five Movements scheme. This kind of cultivation is said to be achieved only by maintaining the highest possible degree of filial piety. In this context, the Naejeong where a turtle is entwined with a snake (龜蛇合體) was a term that symbolically depicted a place wherein one transforms into an immortal through cultivation. The Five Movements and Filial Piety was included in Qianbapinxianjing after it had been compiled with the other scriptures containing Ancestor Lü's teachings. In 1744, Qianbapinxianjing was included in Lüzu-quanshu, the entire 32-volume collection of Ancestor Lü and printed for the first time. This underlies the belief in Ancestor Lü (呂祖信仰) which embraces the idea of the redemption of people, teaches the arts of immortality, and features Daoist Spirit-Writing Altars, filial piety, the art of Neidan, and the combination of Water and Fire.

Folk Remedies for First Aid at Home (가정내 응급처치를 위한 민간요법)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the contents, frequency of use, and the rationales of folk remedies frequently used for first aid at home for stomachache, vomiting, strain, food poisoning, vaginal bleeding, or wounds of snake or dog bite, or bee sting. As the method of the study, data were collected by conducting a questionnaire of 185 persons, who filled it out or who were interviewed from May to August in 1998. The collected data was analyzed by using frequency and the rationales for the contents of the folk remedies were described base on literatures. The results were as follows,. 1. The folk remedies for stomachache in frequency order were 'warming the abdomen', 'rubbing the abdomen with a hand', or 'pricking a finger to bleed', which have the rationals. 2. The folk remedies for vomiting in frequency order are 'drinking water of watery radish' and 'pricking a finger to bleed', which have the rationales. 3. The folk remedies for strain in frequency order are 'soaking the affected area into cold water or applying an ice pack' and 'after soaking jasmine in water, making a dough with flour, and then attaching it on the affected area', which have the rationales, Additionally, although the frequencies are low, 'drinking brewed Achyranthis Radix' and 'applying brewed leaves and stalks of Sambuci Cortex' have the rationales. 4. The folk remedies for food poisoning in frequency order are 'drinking black beans and licorice brewed together' and 'eating mung beans', which have the scientific grounds. 5. The folk remedies for bloody discharge in frequency order are 'drinking brewed lotus root' and 'eating boiled chicken stuffed with root of bell-flower'. However, 'drinking brewed Thujae orientalis Folium' has the rationales. 6. The folk remedy for snake bite wounds that has the scientific grounds is 'sucking blood by a person without hurt in the mouth'. However, quite a lot of people apply alum or soy paste, which has no rationales. 7. The folk remedies for the bee sting in frequency order are 'after removing the sting, applying soy paste or sauce' and 'applying saliva'. No rationales for 'applying saliva' have been found. 8. The folk remedy for the dog bite wound that has the rationales is 'applying juice of leaves or stalks of Xanthii Fructus'. However, 85% of surveyed people use remedies that have no scientific grounds, such as 'applying burnt dog hair mixed with (sesame) oil' and 'applying soy paste or sauce'. Various materials are used in folk remedies for first aid treatment as shown above. Some of the folk remedies have the rationales since their medicinal actions have been found. However, the medicinal actions of the majority have not been found, but only known that they are effective, Especially for the materials except botanical drugs, they are used without knowing the effects since their components and pharmacognosies have not been described in any literature. The results of this research may be used for materials to educate the surveyed people or to consult them. Accordingly, the folk remedies that have the rationales are required to continue to study to find out the effects.

Purification and Characterization of an Anticoagulant from Corn Silk (옥발에서 항응고물질의 정제와 특성)

  • An anticoagulant was purified from corn silk which has been used in Oriental Medicine. The anticoagulant from corn silk has a molecular mass of 135 kDa, and purified by 24 folds with a recovery of 11%. It was not sensitive to heat and protease treatment. However, periodate oxidation of the anticoagulant resulted in loss of activity significantly, implying that a carbohydrate was responsible for an anticoagulant activity. Galactose, glucose, mannose, fucose, glucosamine, and galactosamine were detected after acid hydrolysis by thin layer chromatography (TLC) and Bio-LC. It was confirmed that anticoagulant had OH and NH bonds by IR, supporting that the anticoagulant is composed of neutrosugar and aminosugar. Its anticoagulating activity was measured by delay in thrombin time (TT) and prothrombin time (PT) without affecting clotting by snake venom and delay in activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT). TT was more sensitive than PT, and was delayed two and three times at the concentration of 60 and 88 nM, respectively. The anticoagulating activity was reduced in the thrombin-induced clotting assay using purified fibrinogen according to the increase of fibrinogen concentration with the apparent Ki value of 23 nM.

Effects of Whole Body Ultraviolet -Light Irradiation on Serum Protein in Snake Head, Ophicephalus argus(CANTOR) (가물치의 혈청단백질에 미치는 자외선전신조사의 영향)

  • The present paper deals with the changes in serum protein fraction, total serum protein, hematocrit, red blood cell, haemoglobin, and weight of liver or kidney : body weight ratio of irradiated and non-irradiated snake head, Ophicephalus argus(CANTOR) . Irrardiation doses are 2537$\AA$-7 minutes (7M) and 2537$\AA$-15 minutes (15M). Serum electrophoretic patterns showed a marked decrease in albumin fraction at 1, 3, 9, 12 and 15 days on 7M group and 15 M group. On both experimental groups percentage increases in $\alpha$1 and $\beta$ fractions occurred at different time periods in general but are interpreted as only apparent changes accompanying the greater albumin fall. ${\gamma}$-Globulin decreased at 1, 6 and 15 days on 7M group. and at 1, 3, 6 and 9 days on 15M group. Also, A/G ratio was significantly low in groups subjected to above conditions as compared to the controls. A/G ratio decreased at 3 and 15 days remarkably on both groups. On the average, the reductions in the A/G ratio were not proportional to themagnitude of ultraviolet-light. Total protein of serum changed according to suggestive changes in electrophoretic patterns of serum . Total protein of serum declined at 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 day periods on 7M groups and at 1, 3, 9, 12 and 15 day-periods on 15 M group, and increased approaching control values at 15 and 18 day-periods on both groups. Hematocrit increased remarkably at 1, 3, 6 and 12 days and decreased at 9 and 15 days on 7M group, and increased throughout the sampling period on 15M . Red blood cell decreased throughout the sampling period and increased slightly at 6 days on 7 M group and decreased at 1, 6, 9, 15 and 18 days and increased remarkably at 3 and 12 days on 15M group. Hemoglobin decreased remarkably at 1 day-period and increased at other days on both groups. The liver weight was not remarkably changed after whole body irradiation on both groups. and kidney was increased from 1st day on 7M group and 3 rd day on 15M group respectively. It appears that changes in electropphoretic patterns of serum, A/G ratio, total protein of serum, hematocrit, red blood cell, hemoglobin, and liver or kidney weight act to the detriment of the animal following non-ionizing irradiation.

HISTAMINE RELEASE INDUCED BY DENDROASPIS NATRIURETIC PEPTIDE FROM RAT PERITONEAL MAST CELLS (흰쥐 복강 비만세포에서 Dendroaspis natriuretic peptide에 의한 히스타민 유리)

  • Dendroaspis natriuretic peptide (DNP), recently isolated from the venom of the green Mamba snake Dendroaspis angusticeps, is a 38-amino acid peptide containing a 17-amino acid disulfide ring structure similar to that of the natriuretic peptide family. The natriuretic peptide family was known to induce histamine release from human and rat mast cells, but there are no published data concerning the effects of DNP on histamine release from mast cells. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether DNP induces the histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells (RMPCs) and to determine the mechanism of DNP-induced histamine release from RPMCs. After treatment of the various doses of DNP in RPMCs, the mast cell degranulation was observed with inverted microscopy and the histamine release was measured by radio-enzymatic assay. Calcium uptake and intracellular cyclic GMP level were measured by radioimmunoassays. DNP induced the mast cell degranulation. DNP released the histamine and increased the calcium uptake and the level of intracellular cyclic GMP of RPMCs, in a dose-dependent manner. The results indicate that DNP is capable of inducing histamine release from RPMCs by increasing of calcium uptake and intracellular cyclic GMP level.

Comparison of serum and pancreatic enzyme activities in serval vertebrates (수종 척추동물의 췌장및 혈청효소의 비교생화학적연구)

  • The levels of activities of amylase, lipase and trypsin in both the pancreatic tissue and serum of 18 species of vertebrate animals were measured and enzymologically compared with each other. 1) The value of amylase in the pancreas of experimental mammalia has been found decreasing in the order pig, rat, dog, cat, rabbit and cow; that of pancreatic lipase has been found decreasing in the order of pig, dog, cat, rat, rabbit and cow; and that of trypsin has been found decreasing in the order of pig, cow, dog, rat, rabbit. Thus the value of all the above three kinds of enzymes were observed highest in pig, but in cow amylase and lipase were observed lowest while trypsin were observed considerably high. 2) In view of diets, the comparatively high values of pancreatic enzyme were observed in the ommivorous animals such as pig, rat, dog, while the values observed low in the herbivorous animals, such as cow and rabbit. 3) In the bovine, the values were observed moderately high except lipase which were found comparatively low. 4) In the Reptilia and Amphibia such a mud turttle and frog, the values were shown in similar measure with each other, that is, the pancreatic amylase and trypsin were observed considerably high while the lipase was found low. 5) In the species of Reptilia such as a viper and snake, the activities of pancreatic enzymes were not detected. But in the tissue of liver, stomach, activities of the enzymes were found considerably high. Lacertilia animals such as lizard the values of pancreatic enzymes were little observed. 6) In the fish in which the pancreatic tissue is scattered in the liver, the pancreatic enzymes were found in the liver tissue considerably higher than in the other tissues but lower than in the warm-blooded animals, especially the lipase was lower. 7) In generally the values of serum amylase and lipase were observed higher than those of man; and even in the cold-blooded animals in which the values of pancreatic enzymes were shown low or none, the values were also observed high. 8) The above three kinds of pancreatic enzyme values of those experimental animals have shown a tendency of higher degree in higher taxa than in lower taxa according to taxonomical order. 9) In view of tissue, the pancreatic cell was observed large in the mammalian animals such as rat and pig and cytoplasm was also abundantly contained in the acinous cell; and the bovine and the snake haave the pancreatic cells of the similar rosette form the comparatively large acinous cells of long rhombic form in the comparatively large acinous cells of long rhombic form in which the spindle shaped neucleus and the abundant cytoplasm were contained. In the fish the pancreatic cell were found scattered in the liver in which the very large pancreatic islet were found.

The first discovery of larval Gnathostoma hispidum (Nematoda: Gnathostomidae) from a snake host, Agkistrodon breuicaudn (한국산 살모사에서 최초로 발견한 돼지악구충의 제3기 유충)

  • The present study was performed to observe the infection status of several kind of animals with indigenous Gnnthostomn in Korea, and morphological characteristics of gnathostome larvae detected from pit-viper, Askistronon breuiccudus, for the species bullfrogs. several kinds of snakes, j.e., 55 Elnphe rufodorsata, 2 Dinodon rufozonatum rufzonatum. 62 Rhnbdophis tisrinus tigrinus and 87 Askistronon app., and 438 cats were examined. A total of 21 larval gnathostomes was detected from 12 pit-vipers, A. breuicnudus. They were 2.233 x 0.343 mm in average size and covered with about 210 transverse rows of minute cuticular spines. Their characteristic head bulbs were provided with 4 rows of hooklets of which average numbers in each row were 36.8, 39.0, 41.7 and 44.3. posteriorly. In the cross sections of midgut level, the intestinal wall consisted of a single layer of 19-25 elongate epithelial cells with a single nucleus. SEM observation of the larvae revealed unique features of head bulb , cuticular spines on transverse striations and a cervical papilla. On the basis of above morphological characteristics, they were identified as the advanced third-stage larvae of Gnothostomo hispinum. It was first confirmed that the pit-viper. ABkistronon breuicaunus is the snake intermediate host of G. hispidun.
