소화용 스프링클러 헤드의 살수분포 및 수적 특성에 대한 연구 (The Study on Characteristics of Water Spray and Droplet from Fire Sprinkler Head)

  • The effect of water spray for the fire sprinkler depends on droples distribution over maximum possible floor area. The present study are carried out for the characteristics of water spray and droplets experimentally and numerically km two fire sprinkler heads which are CHM head and CHl heal CHl head is self-production and CHl head is widely used up to date. As the result of using CHM head, water spray and droplets are distributed over large area because CHM head has smooth surface and non-flamed shape. When the pressure of fire sprinkler head is low, SMD(sauter mean diameter) is large and when the pressure of fire sprinkler head is high, SMD is small.

간헐적으로 분사되는 핀틀형 가솔린 분사기의 액적크기와 속도 상관관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Correlation of Droplets Size and Velocity of the Pintle Type Gasoline Injector with Intermittent Injection)

  • The correlation between the droplets size and the velocity are investigated for an intermittent spray of the pintle type fuel injector employed in a port injection gasoline engine. The analysis such as the mean droplet size, SMD, and velocity under the fixed injection period and varied fuel pressures are conducted utilizing PDPA systems. As results, the experimental data obtained, show that the larger droplet sizes. the higher velocities during the spray tip arrival time, and that at Z=70mm, r=8mm, both droplet sizes and velocities are peak. At the upstream, flow of droplets are dominated by injection pressure, which are more effected inertia force of droplets at the downstream of Z=70mm.

Y-Jet 노즐에서의 혼합관 길이변화에 따른 분무특성 연구 (Change of Spray Characteristics with Mixing Port Length of Y-Jet Atomizers)

  • Experiments have been performed to find out the effect of the mixing port length of Y-jet atomizers on the spray performance, using air and water as the test fluids. Water and air flow rates and drop sizes were measured at each injection pressure condition for different mixing port length. The air flow rate was almost unaffected by the change of the mixing port length. However, the water flow rate was relatively susceptible to the change of the mixing port length. The mixing point pressure was very much influenced by the mixing port length. Variations of spatial distribution of Sauter Mean Diameter (SMD, $D_{32}$) and the cross-section-averaged SMD ($D_{32,m}$) with different mixing port length and air/water mass flow rate ratio were examined. Generally, when the mixing port length was reduced, the mean drop size decreased and became spatially even.

  • In the analysis of the mass distribution and SMD(Sauter Mean Diameter), planar laser imaging technique is a convenient and useful one when compared to the mechanical pattemator or PDPA (Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer). But recorded signals at cameras and intensity of laser are distorted by attenuation. Using experimental datum and assumptions, we study measurement errors due to attenuation in plannar image technique.

  • This study is to investigate particle size and velocity profile of gasoline port injector using Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer (PDPA). In this experiment, a GV 250 Delphi port injector used for motorcycles was used for liquid injection. The injector consists of four holes and has a static flow rate of 2.13 g/s. The fuel used in the injection was N-heptane, which is similar to gasoline, as an alternative fuel. The test fuel was injected at an atmospheric temperature of $20^{\circ}C$ and an open atmosphere of 1 atm. The injection time was 10 ms and the injection pressure was 3.5 bar in PDPA experiment. The experimental target position was fiexd at 30, 50 and 75 mm from the nozzle tip and data were collected for a total of 10,000 samples. The experimental results show that the length diameter (D10), the Sauter mean diameter ($D_{32}$), and the mean droplet velocity (MDV) are $45-54{\mu}m$, $99-115{\mu}m$ and 15-21 m/s, respectively.

초임계압 보일러용 유화연료의 물성치와 분사압력이 분무특성에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Property of Emulsified Fuel and Injection Pressure on the Spray Characteristics for Super-Critical-Pressure Burner)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the volume fraction of water and injection pressure on the spray characteristics of water/oil emulsified fuel injected from the pressure swirl atomizer. The mixture of light oil and water by using impeller mixer was performed. The spray characteristics such as SMD and velocity were measured using PDPA. The injection pressures were 7.5, 100, 200 and $300kgt/cm^2$ and volume fractions of water in emulsified fuel were 0, 10, 20 and 30%, respectively. The measurement sections were at 30, 60 and 90mm from injection nozzle tip. SMD and velocity of emulsified fuel were larger gradually by increasing the volume fraction of water in emulsified fuel. The spray angle was decreased and axial velocity was increased with increase in water content. It was found that the relative SMD ratio was increased more greatly than the relative axial velocity ratio in super critical pressure. The relative SMD ratio was increased and the relative axial velocity ratio was decreased with increase injection pressure at spray downstream.

  • The spray characteristics of a direct injection multi-hole diesel nozzle having the 2-spring nozzle holder were investigated by using the image processing system and a PDPA(phase Bowler particle analyzer) system. The spray tip penetration, the spray angle, and the droplet diameter and velocity with the variation of the pump speed, injection quantity were measured. From, the experiments, we know that there are small droplets which are not to be detected with spray image around the leading edge of the spray. In order to represent the mean characteristics of the intermittent spray very well, it is very important to set the time windows accurately. From the measurements along the axis of the spray, close to the nozzle, the initially injected droplets are overtaken by droplets that follow them. And also there are the maximum axial mean velocity and SMD at the following part of the leading edge of the spray.

디젤분무에서 미립화 및 액적분열모델의 예측능력평가 (Assessment of Prediction Ability of Atomization and Droplet Breakup Models on Diesel Spray Dynamic)

  • A number of atomization and droplet breakup models have been developed and used to predict the diesel spray characteristics. Of the many atomization and droplet breakup models based on the breakup mechanism due to aerodynamic liquid and gas interaction, four models classified as mathematical models, such as TAB, modified TAB, DDB, WB and one of the hybrid model based on WB and TAB models were selected for the assessment of prediction ability of diesel spray dynamics. The assessment of these models by using KIVA-II code was performed by comparing with the experimental data of spray tip penetration and sauter mean diameter(SMD) from the literature. It is found that the prediction of spray tip penetration and SMD by the hybrid model was only influenced by the initial parcel number. All the atomization and droplet breakup models considered here was strongly dependent on the grid resolution. Therefore it is important to check the grid resolution to get an acceptable results in selecting the models. At low injection pressure, modified TAB model could only give the good agreement with experimental data of spray tip penetration and both of modified TAB and DDB models were recommendable for the prediction of SMD. At high injection pressure, hybrid model could only give the good agreement with the experimental data of spray tip penetration and the prediction of all of the selected models did not match the experimental data. Spray tip penetration was increased with the increase the $B_1$ and the increase of $B_1$ did not affected the prediction of SMD.

LES 해석에서 액체제트의 분열에 대한 확률론적 분열 모델링 비교 (Stochastic Model Comparison for the Breakup and Atomization of a Liquid Jet using LES)

  • 난류 유동장으로 분사되는 두가지 형태의 액체 제트 (수평분사는 디젤연료와 수직분사는 물)의 액주 분열과 미립화 현상에 관한 이상(Two-phase) 유동에 대해 3차원 LES 수치해석을 수행하였다. 기체상태의 공기 유동은 오일러리안 해법을 사용하고, 액체 제트의 액적 추적은 라그랑지안 해법을 사용하여 기체-액체간 이상유동 해석을 수행하였다. 두 종류의 확률론적 분열 모델(Stochastic breakup model)을 사용하여 액적 분열을 모사하였으며, 액체제트의 침투깊이와 액적 분포(Sauter Mean Diameter)를 실험결과와 비교하여 미세하게 분열되는 액체 제트의 분열 현상에 대해 확률론적 분열 모델링의 적합성을 제시하였다.

  • 액체추진제 추력기 인젝터로부터 발생하는 분무의 미립화 특성과 공간 분포를 파악하기 위해 이중모드 위상도플러속도계(DPDA)를 사용한다. 평균속도, Sauter 평균직경, 그리고 속도섭동과 같은 분무특성 인자들을 다양한 분무축 및 반경방향 위치에서 계측한다. 이러한 데이터를 반경축상에 정량화하고 직경과 난류강도와의 상관관계를 밝히는데 사용한다. 분무 동적거동의 가시적 이해를 돕기위해, 노즐 오리피스의 기하학적 축과 반경방향이 이루는 좌표에 분무입자들의 속도벡터를 도식화한다.
