  • This article addresses the roles of the speech language pathologist (SLP) for singers who require prompt and effective treatment when a voice problem arises. The causes of voice problem are often vocal abuse/misuse/overuse, muscle tension dysphonia and inappropriate singing technique. The SLP should conduct voice counseling and voice assessment for maintaining healthy voice of singer constantly.

  • This research suggests an approach to reduce the physical distribution cost of production by analyzing data from real situations. The proposed approach re-layouts facilities according to the SLP(Systematic Layout Planning) method. An application result showed that the production lead time was reduced by 24% and the payoff period for facility re-layout was about ten months.

  • 최근 인터넷과 무선통신의 발전으로 많은 외부 클라이언트들이 학교나 공공기관 같은 내부 네트워크를 사용하게 되었다. 이러한 클라이언트들은 내부 네트워크를 사용하게 되면서 여러 가지 서비스를 받기 위해 다양한 서비스의 위치정보를 검색하는데 사용되는 프로토콜인 SLP(Service Location Protocol)를 사용한다. 이 때 악의를 가진 클라이언트가 SLP(Service Location Protocol)를 이용해 서비스 리스트를 얻어 자신이 내부 네트워크의 모든 자원을 사용할 수 있게 만드는 것과 같은 악의적인 행동을 할 수 있는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 PMI(Privilege Management Infrastructure)를 이용하여 내부 네트워크에 들어온 외부 클라이언트에 관해 내부 서비스에 대한 권한을 설정하고자 하는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

Novel Two-Level Randomized Sector-based Routing to Maintain Source Location Privacy in WSN for IoT

  • WSN is the major component for information transfer in IoT environments. Source Location Privacy (SLP) has attracted attention in WSN environments. Effective SLP can avoid adversaries to backtrack and capture source nodes. This work presents a Two-Level Randomized Sector-based Routing (TLRSR) model to ensure SLP in wireless environments. Sector creation is the initial process, where the nodes in the network are grouped into defined sectors. The first level routing process identifies sector-based route to the destination node, which is performed by Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). The second level performs route extraction, which identifies the actual nodes for transmission. The route extraction is randomized and is performed using Simulated Annealing. This process is distributed between the nodes, hence ensures even charge depletion across the network. Randomized node selection process ensures SLP and also avoids depletion of certain specific nodes, resulting in increased network lifetime. Experiments and comparisons indicate faster route detection and optimal paths by the TLRSR model.

  • A Lactobacillus sp. has been isolated from infant feces and characterized according to its physiological properties and identified as Lactobacillus acidophilus KLA1012. A gene coding surface layer protein (SLP) has been cloned and the sequence has been determined. The nucleotide sequence of slpA was 1,338 bp in size and was identical to that of L. acidophilus ATCC 4356 (100%). Amino acid sequence of SLP-A was deduced from the nucleotide sequence and it had signal sequence at N-terminal, consisting of positively charged amino acid mainly lysine. slpA was cloned and heterologously expressed in E. coli M15 and the 45.2 kDa surface-layer protein band was examined by SDS-PAGE and confirmed by Western blotting using polyclonal antibody against L. acidophilus KLA 1012 SLP-A protein.

  • Service discovery protocols is software components to find specific services or resources on network. The SLP defined by IETF protocol is a framework for automatic service discovery on IP based networks. Automatic service discovery is an important component on ubiquitous computing environment. This paper proposes a service discovery architecture named as SLPA(Service Location Protocol based on AMAAM). AMAAM(Mobility Agent Advertisement Mechanism) is an aggregation-based Mobile IP implementation in MANET. In SLPA, the role of the directory agent is assigned to the mobility agent in AMAAM. The mobility agent periodically beacons an advertisement message which contains both the advertisement of the directory agent in SLP and the advertisement of the mobility agent in Mobile IP. For evaluating the functional correctness of SLPA and the overhead of maintaining a service directory of SLPA. We simulate SLPA using ns-2 and analyze the overhead of control overheads for the aggregation. Through the simulation experiments we show the functional correctness of the proposed architecture and analyze the performance results.

Apparent Protein and Phosphorus Digestibilities of Nine Different Dietary Protein Sources and Their Effects on Growth of Juvenile Olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus (치어기 넙치에 있어서 9가지 단백질 사료원의 단백질 및 인 소화율 측정 및 성장에 미치는 영향)

  • A 6-week feeding trial was conducted to determine apparent protein and phosphorus digestibilities in order to evaluate nine different dietary protein sources in growing olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus. Nine diets containing fish meal analog ($BAIFA-M^{TM}$), white fish meal (WFM), flounder muscle powder (FMP), squid liver powder (SLP), leather meal (LM), soybean meal (SM), corn gluten meal (CGM), poultry by-product (PBP) or egg albumin(EA) were prepared by mixing a basal diet (BD) with one of nine test ingredients at the ratio of 7 to 3. Apparent protein digestibilities of FMP, SLP, WFM, SM, CGM, LM, PBP, $BAIFA-M^{TM}$, and EA were 94%, 92%, 86%, 82%, 75%, 72%, 72%, 71%, and 30%, respectively. Apparent phosphorus digestibilities of FMP, SLP, $BAIFA-M^{TM}$, LM, WFM, PBP, CGM, EA and SM were 77%, 72%, 65%, 55%, 54%, 50%, 20%, 20%, and 17%, respectively. Weight gain of fish fed FMP ($323^a$) was significantly higher than those of fish fed the other diets, and those of fish fed basal diet ($302^b$), SLP ($305^b$) and WFM ($308^b$) diet were significantly higher than those of fish fed SM ($274^c$), $BAIFA-M^{TM}\;(268^{cd}),\;PBP\;(261^{de}),\;LM\;(251^e),\;CGM\;(254^e)$ and EA ($181^f$). Based on the results of apparent protein digestibilities, apparent phosphorus digestibilities and weight gain, SLP, SM and $BAIFA-M^{TM}$ could be one of good protein source to replace fish meal in flounder diets.

Effect of Addition Levels of Sodium Chloride on Gel Properties of Surimi-like Pork (NaCl 첨가량에 따른 돈육 수리미의 젤 특성)

  • Effects of addition level of sodium chloride (NaCl) on gel properties of surimi-like pork (SLP) were investigated. Porcine semimembranosus muscle was used to manufacture SIP contained 1, 2, 3 and 4% NaCl to measure moisture content, pH, color, gel strength, micro-structure and sensory evaluation. The pH and moisture content of SLP were decreased as increasing of NaCl level. However, the gel strength of SLP was increased with increasing of NaCl level. Values of yellowness and chroma were lower in SLP of 2% and 3% NaCl compared with those of 1% and 4% NaCl. Amorphus protein particles size in micro-structure of SLP was decreased and coagulated as increasing level of NaCl. SLP of 1% NaCl had a structure formed by aggregates of densely packed globular proteins and arranged in clusters, whereas a well-structured matrix with a highly interconnected network of strand was observed in SLP of 4% NaCl. Result suggested that the increasing gel strength with NaCl level might be due to lower moisture content and denser micro-structure of gel.
