  • Coupling of non-linear oscillators have long been an interesting problem for physicists. The coupling phenomena have been frequently observed in Josephson junction series array, which have been used for Josephson voltage standard. Interestingly pronounced self-generation effect has been found during recent development of Josephson arrays for programmable Josephson voltage standard. But the coupling effect between the self-generations is not fully understood yet. We present harmonically approximated analytical solutions for coupled self-generations in the Josephson arrays, i.e., Superconductor-Insulator-Normal metal-Insulator-Superconductor (SINIS) array, externally shunted Superconductor-Insulator-Supercondctor (es-SIS) array, Superconductor-Normal metal-Superconductor (SNS) array. We find that the coupling between the self-generated Josephson oscillations through microwave transmission line plays critical role in microwave property of the Josephson array.

  • A computer program, named NEO-PCBRG, for the analysis and design of prestressed con-crete(PSC) bridges was developed using the finite element method. NEO-PCBRG can predict the response of PSC bridges throughout the various stages of construction and service. NEO-PCBRG has both pre- and post-processing capabilities. Pre-processing refers to all the neces- sary steps required to prepare a virtual prototype, more commonly termed a varied model for analysis. Post-processing here stands for the step in which the results from the analysis are reviewed and interpreted. In order to allow for the easy and convenient execution of the entire procedure, NEO-PCBRG was developed using computer graphics in the Visual Basic pro- gramming language. In conclusion, this study presents a new software architecture for analy-sis using the user-oriented design technique.

면적 제약조건하의 저전력 조합회로 설계를 위한 분할 기반 합성 알고리즘 (A partitioning-based synthesis algorithm for the design of low power combinational circuits under area constraints)

  • In this paper, we propose a synthesis algorithm for the design of low powe rcombinational circuits under area constraints. The proposed algorithm partitions a given circuit into several subcircuits such that only a selected subcircuit is activated at a time, hence reduce unnecessary signal transitions. Partitioning of a given circuit is performed through adaptive simulated annealing algorithm employing the cost function reflecting poer consumption under area constraints. Experimental reuslts for the MCNC benchmark circuits show that the proposed algorithm generates the circuits which consume less power by 61.1% and 51.1%, when compared to those generated by the sis 1.2 and the precomputation algorithm, respectively.

  • A SIL(Safety Integrity Level) assignment method is used for preventing failure action. The goal of safety system for processing automation is to reduce the human fatal risk. Even if we have developed the processing automation according to developing technology, we are also realized on increasing the human fatal risk cause of unexpected accidents. This study is directed the solution of decision for safety level for safety system and the best architecture for safety system in process automation.

  • NUFLEX is a general purpose thermo/fluid flow analysis program which has various physical models including spray. In NUFLEX, spray models are composed of breakup and collision models of droplet. However, in case of diesel engine, interaction between wall-film and impingement model considering heat transfer is not coded in NUFLEX. In this study, Lee & Ryou impingement & wall-film model considering heat transfer is applied to NUFLEX. For the verification of this NUFLEX program, numerical results are compared with experimental data. Differences of film thickness and radius between numerical results and experimental data are within 10% error range. The results show that NUFLEX can be used for comprehensive analysis of spray phenomena.

  • Medical risk selection or mortality analysis is very important in insurance medicine. Among many kind of source articles there have been several limitations. There are few long-term follow-up studies in rare disease, as Romeo's article. We can do mortality analysis of this type using cause of death within the article and assumption of expected mortality q'. In the case of article which is published in foreign country such as Tikkanen et al, we can use comparative group from the control group within source article. It is another way for mortality analysis of limited article. However Retrospective study even performed in Korea, is unusable for estimation of extra-mortality.

의적클레임검토 유형론 (Typology of the medical claims review)

  • In the course of insurance claim administration, medical experts' opinions are called medical claim reviews. They are classified into two main categories: medical verification and counsel for claim staff. Medical verification compare between product coverage and the insured's physical condition. Medical counsel for claim staff is advice for claim staff when they have a question about medical knowledge to make a claim decision. A common example of medical verification is insurance coding of pituitary apoplexy. Some clinicians have insisted that the ICD coding of pituitary apoplexy is l63 of cerebral infarction, but the exclusion criteria of I code show that neoplasm is coded as C00 to D48. Thus, pituitary apoplexy must be coded as D33. An example of medical counsel for claim staff is interpretation of some medical conditions. It is divided into UCR(usual, customary, and reasonable) assessment, assessment of causality, and so on. Disability evaluation is another subject of medical counsel for claim staff. The final claim decision must be made by claim staff because only the claim staff have the authority of claim decision. Medical claims review is only an expert's opinion.

만성혈전색전성 폐고혈압의 보험의학적 위험 (Medical Risk Selection of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension)

  • Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension(CTEPH) is known as class IV pulmonary hypertension. Unlike other subtype of pulmonary hypertension, surgical treatment such as pulmonary endarterectomy is well known therapeutic strategy. Also there's oral disease-modifying drug which is developed lately. According to recent article, the prognosis of CTEPH is markedly improved. If prognosis of certain disease is improved, insurance rating should be altered. Whether rating change is necessary or not, mortality analysis of CTEPH was performed from recently published source article, Estimated extra-risks are MR of 525% and EDR of 37‰. In conclusion, the extra-risks of CTEPH are still very high.

  • In the 21st century, the lining design has been interpreted from diverse perspectives, as one of important elements in fashion design. The purpose of this study is to build up the foundation of elementary resources for Korean styled lining design. For this, it was understood through the theoretical research with respect to the history of lining. In order to preparing the standards to develop the lining design in a Korean image, the photos of women' swear collection taken from 2005 SIS to 2009 F/W and the results of marketing research on the women'swear industry were used for the analysis which are studied in three categories: brand symbolism, cultural identity and vogue. Based on these, the design was carried out.

진공 증발법으로 증착한 Cr, Cr$_2$O$_3$ 박막의 조직 및 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the structure and properties of Cr and Cr$_2$O$_3$ films deposited by the vacuum evaporation method)

  • The structure and properties such as adhesion and corrosion resistance of Cr and $Cr_2O_3$ films, deposited on steel plates by the vacuum evaporation method, were investigated. According to the ESCA and AES analy-sis, it could be concluded that chromium oxide with uniform composition could be formed on the steel sub-strate. The deposited Cr and $Cr_2O_3$ films had high adhesion strength, and they did not peeled off by the tape test. The adhesion property, however, was deteriorated as the film thciknes increased. After bending of the deposited specimen many cracks were observed by SEM, and they were assumed to have propagated along co-lumnar boundaries by the bending test. The corrosion resistance of the films was not generally good, which in-dicates that the films had a porous structure with a large number of defects such as pin holes and voids.
