  • Mountain trams are an environmental-friendly transportation system that run wirelessly on an embedded track constructed on previous mountain roads, and can run despite the frozen road. On the other hand, there is some difficulty on sharp and steep tracks. In this study, after possible technical problems were defined in mountain trams running on a sharp and steep track, the design solutions for the interface structure of bogie and carbody were proposed. In addition, a prototype was made and its performance was tested to verify the solutions. Because the difference in the distance of the inner and outer rails on a sharp curve is severe enough to interrupt running, independent rotating wheels with different angular speeds were developed and applied. To prevent derailment due to the large attack angle and lateral force caused by the previous vehicle of 2bogie-and-1carbody on the sharp curve, a vehicle with 1bogie-and-1carbody was designed and applied. A prototype vehicle of 1bogie-and-1carbody with independent rotating wheels was made to improve the performance during the test running on a small track. A coupler was designed to absorb the large rotations of 3 degrees-of-freedom between the carbodies of a mountain tram running on the steep curved track. After a small scale prototype was made, the performance was verified by a function test.

  • DBS method of underground works can reduce the term of works for manufacturing the underground members in factory and producing members in modularization, apart from that, the horizontal member could be used as permanent members, which are the advantages of this method. As the component element of DBS method, in order th transfer the vertical load on horizontal member to the column during the construction or in service, developed ${\sharp}$ shaped double beam-column connection is dominated by shear failure in the complicated state of multi-axial stresses. In this study, in order to check the shear-failure mechanism of ${\sharp}$ shaped connection of double beam-column and an increase of shear internal force with the thickness of the steel plate. 7 specimens were made and one-way static tests. All of the specimens were subjected to brittle failure. Constraint of slab will increase its shear strength by 1.06${\sim}$1.48 times. Shear strength of slabs with different constraints steel plate in two-way increase more than which are same. So the slab with different constraints steel plate will be more effective.

  • In this paper, using elementary calculus only, we give a simple proof that Green function estimates imply the sharp two-sided pointwise estimates for Poisson kernels for subordinate Brownian motions. In particular, by combining the recent result of Kim and Mimica [5], our result provides the sharp two-sided estimates for Poisson kernels for a large class of subordinate Brownian motions including geometric stable processes.

  • A new species, Nazeris rutilicorpus, of the subfamily Paederinae is described in Korea. This species is found from dead leaves near streams or forests. The illustrations of labrum, male abdomen and genitalia are presented. The differences between N. rutilicorpus and N. optatus (Sharp) are discussed.

  • Recently, Chen establishes sharp relationship between the k-Ricci curvature and the squared mean curvature for a submanifold in a Riemannian space form with arbitrary codimension. In this paper, we establish sharp relationships between the Ricci curvature and the squared mean curvature for submanifolds in quaternion projective spaces.

  • In the 21st century, safety issues in the strained silicon industry, such as dislocation injection, should be carefully considered. This is because a microelectronic device usually contains sharp features (e.g., edges and corners) that may intensify stresses, inject dislocations into silicon, and ultimately cause the failure of the device. In this paper, critical residual stresses in various strained structures are calculated. It is confirmed that this model correctly predicts trends and the order of magnitude of critical residual stresses.

  • In this paper, we study the hereditary convex radius of convex harmonic mapping $f(z)=f_1(z)+{\bar{f_x(z)}}$ under the integral operator $I_f(z)={\int_{o}^{z}}{\frac{f_1(u)}{u}}du+{\bar{{\int_{o}^{z}}{\frac{f_x(u)}{u}}}}$ and obtain the sharp constant ${\frac{{\sqrt[4]{6}}-{\sqrt[]{15}}}{9}}$, which generalized the result corresponding to the class of analytic functions given by Nash.

  • LED chips are produced by cutting the sapphire on which GaN is evaporated. To cut the sapphire wafer into each LED chip, at first the wafer is scribed by diamond tool. To get the sharp groove shape for the nice cutting plane it is important the diamond tool shape, load, etc when the wafer is scribed. Here we tried to simulate the scribing process and get the scribing condition to reduce the wear rate of diamond tool for the sharp groove shape.

  • STL which is used in Rapid Prototyping is composed of a lot of triangular facets. The number of triangles and the shapes of these triangles determine the quality of STL. Therefore, proper algorithm is necessary to enhance the quality of triangular patch. In this paper we used the Delaunay triangulation method to apply to following processes. 1) On processing for reducing sharp triangles which cause errors on intersection. 2) On processing for connecting two or more collinear edges. 3) On processing for deleting unnecessarily inserted points in coplanar polygon.
