Development of External UHF PD Sensor for the Detection of Partial Discharge in $SF_6$ Gas-insulated Switchgear (가스절연 개폐장치의 PD검출용 UHF 대역 외장형 센서 제작 및 감도 특성)

  • We have developed the external-type PD sensors for detecting of the electromagnetic waves up to ultra high frequency (UHF) bands, propagating in various type of GIS. Sufficiently high sensitivity and accuracy for practical use were achieved for the external PD sensor. The experience at the fields and the criteria for the judgment are also discussed in detail.

  • Because the physics occurring during an interruption process is not well known, it is not easy to analyze the characteristics of a self-blast circuit breaker neither theoretically nor experimentally. Fortunately the available computational power and the numerical method improved recently make it possible to predict an interruption process as precisely and fast as possible. Therefore many researches using computational methods have been done for the interruption process of interrupters and applied to extend the information such as thermal and dielectric reignition. In this paper, we have simulated the interruption process of SF6 self-blast circuit breakers with the arc plasma during the fault interruption of a 10 kA current. The CFD program used here is coupled with the electromagnetic field analysis, the radiation model and the effects of turbulence. Through this work, we have get further information about the thermal performance as well as the behavior of the arc. The results have been compared with the measured arc voltage.

  • For the analysis of hot gas flow due to arc in puffer type $SF_6$ gas circuit breakers(GCBs), a program has been developed by adding function for arcing to the Fluid-in Cells(FLIC) method, which is often used for a two dimensional compressible flow problems, utilizing a simplified enthalpy flow arc model available for arcing. In this paper, the results of arc modelling for 800kV GCB are presented and compared with that of cold gas flow in the interrupters. It is shown that the nozzle clogging is the dominating factor in the pressure rise of the puffer chamber. It permits to estimate the dielectric strength of interrupters.

  • In this research, We'll focus on warm environment and ventilation characteristics when utilizing intake ports, exhaust port and 4-way cassettes for removing heat and polluted air. Four way cassettes have been typical air conditioning units for offices since the multi air-conditioner was introduced. The following installation cases will also be discussed: 1) 4-way cassette's operation without intake ports and exhaust port. 2) Effect of the position of intake port and exhaust ports. 3) cooling air flow, temperature. distribution and local supply index according to the air flow rate from 4-way cassettes.

  • A plate-fin-tube heat exchanger used for a $SF_{6}$ gas-insulated transformer is extremely important since the dissipation of the heat generated from inside coils has a significant effect on the performance as well as the durability of the transformer. The heat exchanger consists of corrugated plate fins and staggered array tube bundles for coolant. In order to find out heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics, series of numerical analyses for plate fins with enhanced surface geometries were conducted. Based on the results of the numerical analyses, an improved model of the plate fin has been proposed.

  • 그래핀과 금속 결합에서 발생하는 접촉 저항을 줄이기 위한 목적으로, 소자 제작에 사용되는 $SiO_2$ 기판의 표면을 플라즈마를 사용하여 에칭하는 최적의 조건에 대해 연구하였다. 기존에 발표된 연구 결과에 따라 $SF_6$$O_2$를 섞어 플라즈마 처리를 하였고, 플라즈마 방전에 사용 된 두 가스의 혼합 비율을 조절함으로써 소자 제작에 적합한 조건을 찾고자 하였다. 플라즈마 처리 전후의 $SiO_2$ 기판의 표면 측정은 AFM (Atomic Force Microscope)을 사용하였고, 단면은 SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope)을 통해 확인하였다.

  • This paper describes fault analysis of a $SF_6$ gas circuit breaker of a transformer in a hydro power plant which is connected to the 154kV line. The fault is a single-line-to-ground fault, so that it gives power generation halt and economical loss. The analysis has been done in aspects of the status of the breaker, insulation degradation, surge invasion and earthing resistance of the switchyard.

  • 전력설비 증가와 더불어 GIS 사용이 확대되고 있는 상황에서 GIS 내부고장 발생시 복구 지연으로 인한 사례가 지속 발생하고 있다. 이를 예방하기 위해 170kV GIS 고장구간 판정시스템용 압력센서를 개발하고 검증을 위해 실사용 GIS 2대를 이용하여 내아크 시험을 수행한 결과이다. 시험을 통해 고장시 GIS 탱크 내부의 압력, 온도, 압력파를 측정하였고 SF6 Gas 배관과 연결된 현장조작함(LCP)내 가스주입구에 설치한 압력센서의 동작유무을 검증하였다. 시험결과 유동해석(CFD) 등 시뮬레이션 예측보다 압력 및 온도 상승이 높게 측정되었고 제품에 대한 신뢰성과 확대적용 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 현장에서 많이 사용되고 있는 GIS에 결함이 발생하면 치명적인 사고로 진전될 수가 있다. 본 논문은 모의 GIS내 도전성 파티클 존재시 발생되는 부분방전 신호를 절연 진단 방법중 하나인 UHF법을 이용해 부분방전시 방사되는 방사전자파의 스펙트럼을 분석해 부분방전 진전과정을 판단하였다. 이러한 연구는 현장 GIS 및 $SF_6$ 가스절연 전력설비의 전기적 신뢰성 확보를 위해 UHF 법을 이용한 절연진단 시스템 개발에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Power transformer have many unsymmetrical structure and electric field is enhanced in that area. Those unsymmetrical area are not covered oftenly by solid insulating material which is used as a framework specially in gas transformer. By that result there is a possibility to decrease the total insulation class of the transformer. So in this study the electrical characteristic of $FC+SF_6$ mixture gas which is used as coolants for large power gas insulated transformer and its effects on electrical characteristics of structural material are investigated. Also breakdown characteristic with the tension of taping and curvature of the coil are studied which could be used as a design factor of large power transformer.
