근적외선 분광광도법을 이용한 PVC포장재 중 DEHP 정량법에 관한연구 (A method for quantitative analysis of DEHP in PVC packing material by Near-Infrared Spectroscopy)

  • NIRS(Near infrared spectroscopy) scanning from 1300nm to 2400nm was appl ied for the DEHP(di-(2 ethylhexyl)phthalate) in PVC(polyvinyl chloride_packing material. All samples were devided into calibration group and validation group. As a result of conduction the multiple regression analysis on the correlation between the NIR spectrum data and chemical assay value obtained by the Korea Food Sanitation Act. The validation model for measuring the DEHP content had R of 0.997, SEC of 0.132, SEP of 0.176 by MLR and R of 0.996, SEC of 0.142, SEP of 0.198 by PLS and the detection limit was 0.1%. The obtained results indicate that the NIR procedure can potentially be used as a nondestructive analysis method for the purpose of rapid and simple measurement of DEHP in PVC packing material.

보리종실 성분분석을 위한 근적외선분광광도계의 이용방법 (Use of Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy for Determination of Grain Components in Barley)

  • 겉보리 품질에서 중요한 전분, $eta$-glucan, 단백질 및 회분을 근적외선분광분석법을 이용하여 신속하고 정확하게 분석할 수 있다면 양질의 겉보리 품종육성에 있어 선발효율을 높일 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 목적으로 겉보리 34계통을 공시하여 근적외선 분광광도계 Neotec 102를 이용한 근적외 스펙트럼과 각각의 화학분석치간의 중회귀분석에 의해 검량식을 작성하고 각 검량식별 측정 정확성을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 전분함량 분석시 2272/2078/2053/2055nm의 4개 파장으로 구성된 검량식이 추정치 표준오차(SEP)가 2.75, 상관계수가 0.932로 측정 정확성이 높았다 2. $\beta$-glucan 함량분석은 2276/2086nm의 2개 파장으로 구성된 검량식에서 추정치 표준오차(SEP)가 0.643, 상관계수가 0.588을 나타내 유의성은 인정되지 않았으나 본 실험에 사용된 근적외선 분광광도계 파장영역이 넓은 기기를 사용한다면 분석은 가능할 것으로 생각되었다. 3. 단백질은 1932/2242/2110nm의 3개 파장으로 구성된 검량식의 추정치 표준오차(SEP)가 0.257로 낮았고, 상관계수가 0.984로 측정 정확성이 매우 높게 나타났다. 4. 회분은 2160/1943/1941nm의 3개 파장으로 구성된 검량식을 이용하여 NIRS로 분석가능할 것으로 판단되었다.

실험 배합사료, 상품사료 및 생사료 공급이 육성기 조피볼락(Sebastes schlegeli)의 성장, 육질 및 조직 성상에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Different Pellets on the Growth, Flesh Quality and Histopathological Changes of growing Korean Rockfish Sebastes schlegeli)

  • This study compared the effects of diets consisting of experimental extruded pellets (EP), commercial soft extruded pellets (SEP), and raw-fish-based moist pellets (MP) on the growth, flesh quality, and histology of the Korean rockfish Sebastes schlegeli. Three replicated groups of 60 fish each (initial mean weight 152 g) were fed one of two experimental EPs (EP1 and EP2), two commercial SEPs (SEP1 and SEP2), or MP for 11 weeks. The survival, weight gain, and final mean weight of the fish did not differ significantly among the groups. The highest feed efficiency was in fish fed MP (P<0.05), and the protein efficiency ratio of fish fed MP was significantly higher than that of fish fed EP1, EP2, or SEP1, but not significantly different from that of fish fed EP2. The daily feed intake of the fish fed the EPs and SEPs was significantly higher than that of the fish fed MP (P<0.05). The condition factor, Hepatosomatic Index, and Viscerasomatic Index of the fish did not differ significantly among the groups. No notable differences in the textural properties of the dorsal muscle, plasma biochemical parameters, or histological features of the fish were observed in fish fed any diet. This suggests that extruded pellets can be used to feed growing Korean rockfish without compromising growth, flesh quality, or histopathological change in comparison to raw fish-based moist pellets.

Changes in ${\beta}-Cryptoxanthin$ Content of Setoka Fruits Ripened in Greenhouse Cultivation

  • Setoka (Tangor Norin No.8) is a superior tangor cultivar cultivated in a greenhouse on Jeju Island, and its ${\beta}-cryptoxanthi$n content was determined during the ripening season (September 2005 to March 2006). The ${\beta}-cryptoxanthi$n content of the peel of Setoka fruits was higher than that of the flesh. Also, the ${\beta}-cryptoxanthi$n content in both peel and flesh gradually increased through the ripening season from the beginning of pigmentation, and then decreased slightly late in the ripening season. The ${\beta}-cryptoxanthi$n content in the peel of Setoka fruits varied throughout the season with values of 0.02 (Sep), 0.67 (Nov.), 2.27 (Dec.), 2.88 (Jan.), 2.27 (Feb.), and 2.13 mg% (Mar.). The ${\beta}-cryptoxanthi$n content in Setoka fruit flesh increased throughout the ripening season with values of 0.05 (Sep.), 0.22 (Nov.), 0.57 (Dec.), 0.80 (Jan.), and 0.91 mg% (Feb).

하치조신경 손상시 턱끝신경 체성감각유발전위검사의 진단적 유용성에 관한 연구 (DIAGNOSTIC EFFICACY OF MENTAL NERVE SEP(SOMATOSENSORY EVOKED POTENTIALS) FOR THE INJURED INFERIOR ALVEOLAR NERVE)

  • Sensory dysfunction following the injury of the inferior alveolar nerve requires objective examination to get a reproducible data and to provide necessary treatment. This study was designed to evaluate if the SEP(somatosensory evoked potentials) of the mental nerve can be used as an objective method for the diagnosis of nerve injury and sensory disturbances. The subjects were nineteen patients ($37.4{\pm}11.3$ years old) who had been suffered from sensory disturbance of the unilateral lower lip and mental region for over 6 months after the inferior alveolar nerve injuries confirmed by the microsurgical explorations. The clinical neurosensory tests as SLTD(static light touch discrimination), MDD(moving direction discrimination), 2PD(two point discrimination), PPN(pin prick nociception) and accompanied pain were preceded to electro-physiologic examinations as SEP. The score of sensory dysfunction (sum score of all sensory tests) ranged from 0 to 8 were compared to the latency differences of the mental nerve SEPs. The correlation between clinical sensory scores and SEPs were tested by Spearman nonparametric rank correlation analysis, the differences in SEP latency by Kruskal-Wallis test and the latency differences according to PPN and accompanied pain by Mann-Whitney U test. This study resulted that the difference of the latencies between normal side and affected side was $2.22{\pm}2.46$ msec and correlated significantly with the neurosensory dysfunction scores (p=0.0001). Conclusively, the somatosensory evoked potentials of the mental nerve can be a useful diagnostic method to evaluate the inferior alveolar nerve injuries and the change of sensory dysfunction to be reproduced as an objective assessment.

Performance Analysis of FSO Communication Systems with Photodetector Multiplexing

  • In this paper, we carry out a performance analysis of a two-user free-space optical (FSO) communication system with photodetector multiplexing, in which the two users are defined as the primary user (PU) and secondary user (SU). Unlike common single-user FSO systems, our photodetector multiplexing FSO system deploys a shared detector at the receiver and enables PU and SU to send their own data synchronously. We conduct the performance analysis of this FSO system for two cases: (1) in the absence of background radiation, and (2) in the presence of background radiation. Decision strategies for PU and SU are presented according to the two scenarios above. Exact and approximate conditional symbol-error probability (SEP) expressions for both PU and SU are derived, in an ideal channel with no fading. Average SEP expressions are also presented in the no-background-radiation scenario. Additionally, in some particular cases where the power ratio tends to 0.5 or 1, approximate SEP expressions are also obtained. Finally, numerical simulations are presented under different conditions, to support the performance analysis.

과실의 비파괴 당도 예측 모델의 성능향상을 위한 투과스펙트럼의 전처리 (Preprocessing of Transmitted Spectrum Data for Development of a Robust Non-destructive Sugar Prediction Model of Intact Fruits)

  • 본 연구는 초당 2개의 속도로 이송되는 사과를 대상으로 측정된 투과 에너지 스팩트럼 데이터를 이용하여 사과의 당도예측 모델을 개발하기 위해 각종 전처리가 당도 예측 모델의 정밀도에 미치는 영향을 구명하고, 신뢰성이 높은 당도 예측 회귀 모델을 개발하기 위해 수행되었다. 스펙트럼의 산란 보정, 노이즈 감소 등을 위해 1차미분, MSC, SNV, OSC 및 이들 조합으로 구성된 전처리 알고리즘을 프로그래밍하고, 이들 전처리를 스펙트럼데이터에 적용한 결과 특히 MSC SNV에 의해 각 파장에서의 투과에너지와 당도와의 상관관계가 전처리를 하지 않은 경우에 비해 현저히 증가하였다. 각종 전처리를 수행한 후 당도 예측 회귀 모델을 개발하고, 검정한 결과, 전처리 방법에 따라 예측모델의 SEP가 최대 1.265%brix 에서 최소 0.507%brix로 큰 차이를 나타내었다. 이는 SEP를 최소화하기 위해 주어진 스펙트럼 데이터의 특성에 알맞는 전처리 방법이 개발 또는 선택되어야 함을 의미한다. MSC 와 SNV는 예측 정밀도와 밀접한 관계가 있으며, OSC는 PLS의 factor 수와 관계되는 것으로 판단되었다. 1차미분은 오히려 모델의 예측 성능을 저하시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 실시간으로 측정된 투과스펙트럼에 상대적으로 노이즈 성분이 많이 포함되어 이들 성분이 미분에 의해 강조된 것으로 판단되었다. 본 연구에 사용된 스펙트럼 데이터의 경우 MSC와 OSC 전처리를 수행한 당도예측모델이 $R^2=0.8823$, SEP=0.5071%brix, bias=0.0327로 가장 우수하였다.

ASSESSING CALIBRATION ROBUSTNESS FOR INTACT FRUIT

  • Near infra-red (NIR) spectroscopy has been used for the non-invasive assessment of intact fruit for eating quality attributes such as total soluble solids (TSS) content. However, little information is available in the literature with respect to the robustness of such calibration models validated against independent populations (however, see Peiris et al. 1998 and Guthrie et al. 1998). Many studies report ‘prediction’ statistics in which the calibration and prediction sets are subsets of the same population (e. g. a three year calibration validated against a set from the same population, Peiris et al. 1998; calibration and validation subsets of the same initial population, Guthrie and Walsh 1997 and McGlone and Kawano 1998). In this study, a calibration was developed across 84 melon fruit (R$^2$= 0.86$^{\circ}$Brix, SECV = 0.38$^{\circ}$Brix), which predicted well on fruit excluded from the calibration set but taken from the same population (n = 24, SEP = 0.38$^{\circ}$Brix with 0.1$^{\circ}$Brix bias), relative to an independent group (same variety and farm but different harvest date) (n = 24, SEP= 0.66$^{\circ}$ Brix with 0.1$^{\circ}$Brix bias). Prediction on a different variety, different growing district and time was worse (n = 24, SEP = 1.2$^{\circ}$Brix with 0.9$^{\circ}$Brix bias). Using an ‘in-line’ unit based on a silicon diode array spectrometer, as described in Walsh et al. (2000), we collected spectra from fruit populations covering different varieties, growing districts and time. The calibration procedure was optimized in terms of spectral window, derivative function and scatter correction. Performance of a calibration across new populations of fruit (different varieties, growing districts and harvest date) is reported. Various calibration sample selection techniques (primarily based on Mahalanobis distances), were trialled to structure the calibration population to improve robustness of prediction on independent sets. Optimization of calibration population structure (using the ISI protocols of neighbourhood and global distances) resulted in the elimination of over 50% of the initial data set. The use of the ISI Local Calibration routine was also investigated.

가시광선-근적외선 반사스펙트럼을 이용한 쇠고기의 신선도 평가 (Evaluation of Beef Freshness Using Visible-near Infrared Reflectance Spectra)

  • 본 연구에서는 유통현장에서 실시간으로 쇠고기 신선도를 측정하기 위해 가시광선-근적외선 반사 스펙트럼을 이용하여 쇠고기 신선도에 영향을 미치는 인자와 설정된 저장기간에 대하여 예측 모델을 개발하고 검증하였다. 쇠고기 시료는 총 216개를 사용하였으며 0-14일의 기간 동안 2일 간격으로 가시광선-근적외선 반사 스펙트럼을 측정한 후, 쇠고기의 신선도에 영향을 미치는 인자인 총균수, pH, VBN, TMA, TBA값을 공인된 방법을 이용하여 측정하였다. 예측모델은 다중회귀분석 방법과 최적 변수 선택이 가능한 stepwise 방법을 이용하여 개발하였으며, 예측모델의 선정은 결정계수, 오차, RPD를 이용하였다. 예측모델의 검증은 미지의 시료를 이용하였으며 그 결과 결정계수, 오차, RPD는 총균수에서 각각 0.74, 0.64, 2.75 Log CFU/$cm^2$, VBN은 각각 0.73, 1.45, 2.00 mg%, TMA는 각각 0.70, 0.19, 2.58 mg%, TBA값은 각각 0.73, 0.13, 2.77 mg MA/kg로 비교적 안정된 예측성능을 보여 주었다. 저장기간에 따른 예측모델의 검증결과는 결정계수, 오차, RPD가 각각 0.77, 1.94일, 2.53으로 실험 시 저장기간이 2일 간격인 점을 고려할 때, 비교적 높은 정밀도를 보이고 있음을 알 수 있다. pH의 예측성능은 결정계수, 오차, RPD가 각각 0.43, 0.10, 1.10로 다른 신선도 인자에 비해 낮은 결과를 보여 주었다. 본 연구에서는 가시광선-근적외선 분광분석법을 이용하여 쇠고기 신선도의 비파괴 평가에 대한 가능성을 제시하였으나 유통현장에서 적용을 위해서는 보다 많은 시료의 확보를 통한 예측모델의 신뢰성 향상과 stepwise방법으로 선정된 파장 영역을 기본으로 하는 부분최소자승법, 인공지능 등의 다양한 알고리즘의 적용을 통한 성능개선이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

Development of robust Calibration for Determination Sweetness of Fuji Apple fruit using Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy

  • The object of this work was to investigate the influence of growing district and harvest year on calibration for sweetness (Brix) determination of Fuji apple fruit using near infrared (NIR) reflectance spectroscopy, and to develop the robust calibration across these variation. The calibration models was based on wavelength range of 1100∼2500 nm using a stepwise multiple linear regression. A calibration model by sample set of one growing district was not transferable to other growing districts. The combined calibration (data of three growing districts) predicted reasonable well against a population set drawn from all growing districts (SEP=0.69, Bias=0.075). A calibration model by sample set of one harvest year was not also transferable to other harvest years. The combined calibration (data of three harvest years) predicted well against a population set drawn from all harvest years (SEP=0.53, Bias=0.004).
