  • The retaining methods of implant prosthesis were classified into a screw-retained and a cement-retained type. A screw-retained prosthesis has many advantages, such as retrievability, preventing residual cement, while their disadvantages include the possibility of screw loosening and fracture, on the contrary advantages of cement-retained prosthesis are relatively low cost, but they are difficult to retrieve. To combine the advantages of both type, screw-cement retained prosthesis (SCRP) type have been introduced. But they still require ideal implant placement. So we introduce fiber post retained prosthesis without residual cement for preventing soft tissue trouble due to excessive cement.

  • Axial displacement of an implant-supported prosthesis is frequently reported in clinical and laboratory studies. However, limited information is available about the behavior of the axial displacement of implant-supported prostheses functioning in intraoral situations. The present case report evaluated the three-dimensional displacement of posterior single implant-supported prostheses in 2 different patients. Internal connection type implants were placed, and screw and cement-retained prosthesis (SCRP) type prosthesis were delivered after an appropriate healing period. Intraoral digital scans were performed using an intraoral scanner (Cerec Omnicam, Dentsply Sirona, USA) on the day of crown delivery and one week, one month, and one year after delivery. The amount of 3-dimensional displacement of the prosthesis was evaluated by using a digital inspection software (Geomagic Control X, 3D systems, USA). The axial displacement of implant-supported prosthesis occurred in both patients. Furthermore, the amount of displacement increased over time.

  • One of the better-characterized transcription factor of E. coli is the cAMP receptor protein(CRP) and the CRP binds cAMP and DNA. The cAMP-CRP complex is involved in regulation of many genes at bacteria. The cAMP-CRP regulatory element represents, in some respects, a global regulatory network. The aim of this work was to study the structure and the mechanisms controlling the expression of CRP in Serratia marcescens. We have been get 5 different clones from Serratia which stimulated the cells to use maltose as a sole carbon source in E. coli TP2139. The crp gene clone, pCKB12, was confirmed by Southern hybridization with E. coli crp gene. The location of the crp gene was determined by construction subclones carrying various portions of pCKB12. To investigate the potential role of CRP in E. coli, lacZ fused plasmids were constructed and investigated the ${\beta}$-galactosidase activity of the fused plasmid. The Serratiamarcescens cAMP receptor protein can substitute the E. coli CRP in transcriptional activation at the lacZ gene. These results suggest that Serratia marcescens cAMP receptor protein complex functions to regulate several promoters in E. coli.
