Quantum-dot sensitized solar cells (QDSCs) are an emerging class of solar cells owing to their easy fabrication, low cost and material diversity. Despite of the fact that the maximum conversion efficiency of QDSCs is still far less than that of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (>12 %), their unique characteristics like Multiple Exciton Generation (MEG), energy band tune-ability and tendency to incorporate multiple co-sensitizers concurrently has made QDs a suitable alternative to expensive dyes for solar cell application. Lead Sulfide (PbS) Quantum dot sensitized solar cells are theoretically proficient enough to have a photo-current density ($J_{sc}$) of $36mA/cm^2$, but practically there are very few reports on photocurrent enhancement in PbS QDSCs. Recently, $Hg^{2+}$ incorporated PbS quantumdots and Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) co-sensitized PbS solarcells are reported to show an improvement in photo-current density ($J_{sc}$). In this study, we explored the efficacy of $In_2S_3$ as an interfacial layer deposited through SILAR process for PbS QDSCs. $In_2S_3$ was chosen as the interfacial layer in order to avoid the usage of hazardous CdS or Mercury (Hg). Herein, the deposition of $In_2S_3$ interfacial layer on $TiO_2$ prior to PbS QDs exhibited a direct enhancement in the photo-current (Isc). Improved photo-absorption as well as interfacial recombination barrier caused by $In_2S_3$ deposition increased the photo-current density ($J_{sc}$) from $13mA/cm^2$ to $15.5mA/cm^2$ for single cycle of $In_2S_3$ deposition. Increase in the number of cycles of $In_2S_3$ deposition was found to deteriorate the photocurrent, however it increased $V_{oc}$ of the device which reached to an optimum value of 2.25% Photo-conversion Efficiency (PCE) for 2 cycles of $In_2S_3$ deposition. Effect of Heat Treatment, Normalized Current Stability, Open Circuit Voltage Decay and Dark IV Characteristics were further measured to reveal the characteristics of device.
The concept of natural grouping of plant designated as the "Amentiferous" is no longer given serious credence, and many of the families included in this grouping have been dispersed in diverse order. Because a review of taxonomic treatments of amentiferous taxa reveals diverse classifications, it has become necessary to investigate new characteristics and attempt to determine the significance of these characteristics in terms of amentiferous taxonomy. Protein analyses by isoelectrofocusing(IEF) and rocket immunoelectrophoresis(RIE) have proved to be useful in the delicitation of Quercus taxa using pollen extracts from selected taxa. When Quercus pollen extracts were separated by electrophoresis based on their isoelectric points in a stable pH gradient and substrates for estrase activity were stained, ten bands were revealed between pH 5-14. Within Lepidobalanus grouping, a great diversity in the pollen protein zymograms was observed with some segregation corresponding to the designated taxonomic sections. Two taxa of Cyclobalanopsis produced a zymogram that is somewhat similar to taxa included within the section Prinus of Lepidobalanus, and less similar to taxa within the section Cerris of the same subgenus. Three tested taxa of the Cerris are in the similar zymogram each other, being segregable from the taxa of Prinus. Quantitative and qualitative analyses for serological relationships within and among th Quercus were also employed. To calculate the degree of protein similarity, total rocket heights obtained from RIE provided an index of serological correspondence(SC). It is reconfirmed that the Quercus is distantly separated from the Fagus according to SC. Comparative data from rocket number and SC in the tested taxa of Quercus also indicate that Lepidobalanus is separable from Cyclobalanopsis. Within the Lepidobalanus Q. acutissima and Q. acutissima x variabilis are almost homogeneors and distinguishable from the other tested taxa of same subgenus. Although the number of taxa tested has been limited, the overall serological evidence best reflects the classification proposed by Redher(1940) and Melchior (1964), having the genus Quercus subdivided into three subgunera: Erythrobalanus, Lepidobalanus, and Cyclobalanopsis.alanopsis.
A 2 Gbit/s visible-light communication (VLC) scheme using time-frequency color-clustered (TFCC) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) based on blue, cyan, yellow, and red (BCYR) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is presented. In the proposed scheme, BCYR LEDs are employed to form four different color clusters. Data transmission using the four color clusters is performed in MIMO, so that the scheme achieves a very high speed of data transmission. Moreover, the scheme employs the TFCC strategy to yield high performance in terms of bit error rate (BER). TFCC operates in such a way that the original data and the two delayed versions of the data are multiplied by orthogonal frequencies and then transmitted using a specific color of the BCYR LED. In the receiver, color filters are employed to detect the data transmitted from the desired cluster. Selection combining (SC) is also performed to yield a diversity effect within each color cluster, to further improve the performance. Performance evaluation demonstrates that the proposed TFCC MIMO VLC offers a data rate of 2 Gbit/s and a bit error rate of 4×10-5, at an Eb/No value of merely 3 dB.

For the purpose of providing high data rate real-time services, radio transmission technologies (RTT) for ship ad-hoc network (SANET) based on the Recommendation ITU-R 1842-1 are designed. Physical layer parameters of SANET are contrived to meet the requirements of the specification. In order to improve the link reliability for SANET, in this paper, we investigate the performance of the SANET with the multiple antennas, where receive combining (RC), transmit diversity (TD), and beamforming (BF) are employed, respectively. Based on the analysis of the packet error rate (PER) under the highly correlated maritime wireless channel model, we select the efficient multiple antenna schemes for SANET to improve the link reliability. In addition, the optimal MCS levels for the single-carrier (SC) SANET with the bandwidth of 25 kHz, and the multi-carrier (MC) SANET with the bandwidth of 50 kHz and 100 kHz are finalized.
The vegetation structure within Chamaecyparis obtusa plantation was analyzed for the purpose of applying the effective forestation method for Chmaecyparis obtusa plantation, tending and regeneration in the southern districts of korea. The results were as follows ; 1. The importance percentage was high in the order of Eurya japonica, Rhus verniciflua, Chamaecyparis obtusa, Lindera erythrocarpa, Carpinus laxiflora, Styrax japonica, Viburnum dilatatum, Zanthoxylum piperitum and Smilax china among the vegetation of Chamaecyparis obtusa. Importance percentage of natural seedling of Chamaecyparis obtusa was high in lower story but gradually decreased in middle story. 2. The basal area of upper trees had a negative correlation with the density of natural seedlings in the middle and lower story, and it represents that the basal area of upper trees had some effect on the density of natural seedlings within understories. 3. The rate of the A and B class by Raunkiaer's frequency was higher in the vegetation of middle story than that of lower story. 4. By Morisita's index, the species of Chamaecyparis obtusa, Rhus verniciflua, Lindera erythrocarpa, Smilax china. Callicarpa japonica and Lindera obtusiloba were randomly distributed at lower story, but they were aggregatively distributed at middle story. At all of middle and lower story, Eurya japonica and Viburum dilatatum were randomly distributed, and Carpinus laxiflora, Zanthoxylum piperitum and Picrasma quassioides were aggregatively distributed. 5. The number of appearance species and the value of species diversity in western survey area were more than that of eastern survey area. 6. The value of species diversity at lower story was higher than that of middle story, and it represents that the number of individuals of appearance species was composed more even at lover story than middle story. 7. According to cluster analysis by similarity index, the survey areas were separated from inland and seacoast districts. 8. Judging from each stories ordination analysis by dissimilarity index, the vegetation was separated from lower and middle story, and the vegetation of lower story was more progressed succession stage than that of middle story. 9. In Chamaecyparis obtusa stands, Eurya japonica had a positive correlation with Sorbus alnifolia, Hex macropoda. Ficus erecta and Trachelospermum asiaticum, but it had a negative correlation with Zanthoxylum piperitum, Carpinus laxiflora and Parthenocissus tricuspidata. 10. In estimation of the productivity of Chamaecyparis obtusa stands, the value of SC (Conic surface) and VP (Parabolic volume) for upper trees was 94.5% and 99.63%, respectively and SC and VP of middle story was 5.49% and 0.37%, respectively. In the species of middle story, material productivity was high in order of Eurya japonica. Lindera eryhrocarpa, Rhus verniciflua. Carpinus laxiflora and Styrax japonica.

In this paper we propose a Pre-rake system applied with a frequency domain equalizer in TDD/CDMA multi-code transmission. The Pre-rake system has been well known technique in TDD/CDMA to make a receiver simple. However, it still has residual losses of path diversity and signal to noise ratio (SNR). However, gathering all the residual paths demands an additional hardware such as a rake combiner at the receiver. For the reason Pre/Post-rake system has already been proposed at up/downlink correlated channel conditionunder the assumption of noisier channel. There is a trade-off between the first purpose of Pre-rake that makes hardware simple at the receiver and the performance improvement. From the point the frequency domain equalizer (FDE) can be considered in Pre/Post-rake to supply the receiver with the flexible equalizing methods with rather reduced complexity compared with time domain rake combiner or equalizers. Pre-rake itself increases the number of multipath, which results from the convolution of Pre-rake filter and wireless channel, and FDE must be well matched to Pre/Post-rake, while it considers the relationship of hardware complexity and the performance. In this paper, the Pre-rake/Post-FDE system is introduced at TDD/CDMA multi-code transmission. In addition, the cyclic prefix reduction method in the proposed system is introduced, and the theoretical analysis to the proposed system is given by assuming Gaussian approximation, and finally the numerical simulation results are provided.
Genomic DNA isolated from three geographical gizzard-shad (Konosirus punctatus) populations in Seocheon (SC), Busan (BS) and Gochang (GC) collected in the West Sea and the southern sea, respectively, off the Korean Peninsula, were PCR-amplified repeatedly. Eight selected decamer and 20-mer primers generated a total of 713 loci in the SC population, 791 in the BS population, and 732 in the GC population, with a DNA fragment size ranging from 100 bp to 2,800 bp. We identified 50 unique loci for the SC population, 70 unique loci for the BS population and 130 for the GC population: 120 shared loci for the three populations. There were 108 specific loci (15.1%) for the SC population, 74 (9.4%) for the BS population, and 67 (9.2%) for the GC population. Eight primers also generated 48 polymorphic loci (6.7%) for the SC population, 26 (3.3%) for the BS population, and 16 (2.2%) for the GC population. The similarity matrix ranged from 0.756 to 0.936 for the SC population, from 0.800 to 0.938 for the BS population, and from 0.731 to 0.959 for the GC population. The dendrogram obtained by the eight primers indicates three genetic clusters: cluster 1 (SEOCHEON 01~SEOCHEON 10), cluster 2 (BUSAN 11~BUSAN 20 and GOCHANG 23~GOCHANG 24), and cluster 3 (GOCHANG 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30). As stated above, some individuals of the GC population appear to belong in BS population. When seeing this result, it was thought with the fact that some individuals of 2 populations seem to come and go partially. Thus, RAPD-PCR analysis revealed a significant genetic distance between the three geographical gizzard-shad populations. Using various decamer and 20-mer primers, RAPD-PCR may be applied to identify specific/polymorphic markers that are particular to a species and geographic population, and to define genetic diversity, polymorphisms, and similarities among geographical gizzard-shad populations.

In this paper, we propose the implementation and performance analysis of power line communication based on SISO/MIMO-OFDM which focuses on high speed data transmission in smart grid and future power line grid. We employ Zimmermann frequency model and Middleton Class A model as the multipath power line fading channel and impulse noise channel, respectively. In this paper, in order to improve the three-phase or single-phase PLC performance, we introduce a new MRC (called a&f-MRC) which effectively sums up multiple antenna diversity gain and multipath fading diversity gain. Via simulation, we prove the performance advantage over existing SISO/MIMO systems. In addition, we offer the tradeoff on system design through comparing with MRC, EGC and SC.
Prangos fedtschenkoi (Regel et Schmalh.) Korovin (Apiaceae) is an endemic species for mountainous Middle Asia, which is both a rare and useful plant. Organic extractions from this species are being used in pharmaceutics and cosmetology. In recent years, P. fedtschenkoi distribution area has considerably decreased, presumably, resulting from human activities such as agriculture, construction works, overgrazing and collection from wild for pharmaceutic purposes. Six populations were found in Uzbekistan and their genetic divergence and differentiation were studied with 10 inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers, selected out of 101. Totally 166 amplified ISSR fragments (loci) were revealed, of which 164 were polymorphic. Relatively moderate level of polymorphism was found at population level with polymorphic bands ranging from 27.71% to 47.59%. Mean P = 39.05%, $N_a=1.40$, $N_e=1.25$, S.I. = 0.21, and $H_e=0.14$ were revealed for all loci across six populations. AMOVA showed higher variation among populations (62%) than within them (38%). The Bayesian model determined 5 clusters, or genetic groups. The posteriori distribution of the Theta II estimator detected full model identifying high inbreeding, intensified by low gene flow (Nm = 0.3954). Mantel test confined population 6 as distinct cluster corresponding to geographic remoteness (R = 0.5137, $p{\leq}0.005$). Results were used as the bases for developing conserve measures to restore populations.

In this paper, we propose a cooperative multi-relay scheme for a secondary system to achieve spectrum access along with a primary system. In the primary network, a primary transmitter (PT) transmits the primary signal to a primary receiver (PR). In the secondary network, N secondary transmitter-receiver pairs (ST-SR) selected by a centralized control unit (CCU) are ready to assist the primary network. In particular, in the first time slot, PT broadcasts the primary signal to PR, which is also received by STs and SRs. At STs, the primary signal is regenerated and linearly combined with the secondary signal by assigning fractions of the available power to the primary and secondary signals respectively. The combined signal is then broadcasted by STs in a predetermined order. In order to achieve diversity gain, STs, SRs and PT will combine received replicas of the primary signal, using selection combining technique (SC). We derive the exact outage probability for the primary network as well as the secondary network. The simulation results are presented to verify the theoretical analyses.
