한국 제주도에서 scuba 다이빙을 이용하여 채집한 해면동물을 동정$\cdot$분류한 결과 송악딸기해면 (Tethya songakensis)이 신종으로 밝혀졌다. 본 종은 간상 성체, 가는 아령성상체 및 가지 끝이 갈라진 구상성체에 의해 특징지어진다. 많은 구상성체 가지의 끝은 갈라졌다. 송악딸기해면은 주대골편과 거대성체가 T. simi Sara and Bavestrello, 2000과 유사하지만 미소성체의 모양에 의해 분명히 구분된다.

무선랜 환경에서 전송률 적응기법은 무선 채널의 현재 상태에 따라 최적의 전송모드를 선택함으로써 제한된 무선랜 대역폭 사용에 대한 효율성을 향상시키는 목적을 가진다. 하지만 무선랜 표준에서는 이러한 전송률 적응기법에 관한 알고리즘이나 프로토콜을 정의하지 않고 있으며, 이로 인해 전송률 적응기법에 관한 많은 연구가 이루어졌다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 제안된 전송률 적응기법들의 문제점들을 개선하는 기법으로서 송신노드 기반의 전송률 적응기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 송신노드에서 수신하는 패킷으로부터 측정되는 신호감도를 기반으로 무선 채널의 상태를 측정하고, 이를 기반으로 최적의 성능을 기대할 수 있는 전송모드를 프레임 단위로 조절하게 된다. 또한 전송모드 선택의 기준이 되는 신호감도 범위를 지속적으로 갱신하고 RTS/CTS 교환을 선택적으로 사용할 수 있게 함으로써 무선 채널의 상태 변화에 대해 적응적이고 안정적으로 전송모드를 결정하게 된다. 시뮬레이션을 이용한 성능평가를 통해 제안하는 전송률 적응기법이 기존의 전송률 적응기법들의 장점들을 유지하면서, 각각의 기법들이 가지는 문제점을 개선할 수 있음을 검증하였다.

구전이야기를 기원으로 하는 동화는 시대와 함께 많은 변화를 수용하며 오늘에 이르고 있다. 동화는 그 시대의 도덕관을 반영하며 어린이 교욱의 일면을 담당한다. 17세기 이후 프랑스에서는 고전작가들에 의해 구전이야기가 채집되고 어린이 문학장르가 정착되기 시작한다. 1697년에 빼로는 <교훈 붙인 \ulcornerx날이야기>를 출간하는데, <작은 빨간 모자>는 8편의 이야기 중 한편이다. 빼로는 이 이야기에 비유적인 암시를 첨가하여 여자 어린이에게 남자에 대해 주의할 것을 경고한다. 20세기의 사진작가 사라문은 일러스트레이션의 상징적 표현으로 이 주제를 표출해 주고 있다. 그녀의 일러스트레이션은 많은 의문점을 일으키며, 독자로 사고케 하여 문장의 감춰진 의미를 일깨워 준다. 그녀는 빼로의 교훈(Moralitez)을 삭제하고 침대사진으로 대치하며, 늑대는 자동차, 개, 그림자 등으로 표현한다. 사라 문의 일러스트레이션은 시대를 반영한 것으로서 조기 성교육의 근거를 마련하고 있다. 이제 일러스트레이터는 시대의 새로운 각색자로서 동화를 재탄생시키고 있는 것이다.

Objective: The aim of this study was to report the effect of Korean medicine treatment on Claude's syndrome with ataxia and diplopia. Methods: We applied electroacupuncture, scalp acupuncture, and physical therapy to the patient. Diplopia was assessed with the distance between two images of one object, and ataxia was assessed with the Korean Version of the Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (K-SARA). Results: After 21 days of treatment, diplopia, abnormal extraocular movement, and ataxia were improved on the basis of the K-SARA score. Conclusion: This case demonstrates the effectiveness of Korean medicine treatment in improving the symptoms of Claude's syndrome.

This study reported on the effect of traditional Korean medicine on ataxia, gait disturbance, tremor, and dizziness with cerebellar atrophy. The patient was treated with traditional Korean medicines, such as acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine (Kuibiondam-tang-gami). The effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated with the scale for the assessment and rating of ataxia (SARA). After treatment, the symptoms had improved. The SARA score decreased by 18 points after Korean medicine treatment. According to this study, traditional Korean medicine can be effective to treat ataxia, gait disturbance, tremor, and dizziness in patients with cerebellar atrophy.

Women attach great importance to the presence of a three-dimensional nipple upon completion of the breast reconstruction process. To meet patients' expectations, nipple-areolar complex reconstruction should achieve symmetry in position, size, shape, texture, and color, as well as minimizing donor-site morbidity. However, it is well known that regardless of the reconstructive technique, loss of nipple projection can be reasonably expected. We developed and evaluated a quick, simple, and innovative technique using injectable Integra Flowable Wound Matrix to increase nipple projection after reconstruction. Twenty breast cancer patients who underwent nipple reconstruction resulting in unsatisfactory projection were enrolled in our retrospective study. Nipple projection was measured at the time of surgery and after 6 and 12 months. A visual analogue scale was used to assess patients' satisfaction. Our technique yielded reliable results in terms of the long-lasting maintenance of nipple projection. This method is high-priced, but cost-effective, since one kit may suffice for three patients. Furthermore, our patients were very appreciative of this technique as a single-step, minimally invasive, painless procedure with no reported necessity of re-intervention.
