SAPH440재료의 GMA용접시 용접변수에 따른 인장 강도 특성 평가 (Evaluation of tensile strength according to welding variables in GMA welding of SAPH440)

  • 본 논문은 자동차 구조용 열간 압연 강재인 SAPH440을 GMAW 겹치기 용접을 하여 용접 변수인 용접 전류, 용접 전압, 이송 속도를 달리하여 인장 특성을 평가하였다. GMAW 공정의 접합 변수에 따라 인장 시험을 수행하기 위하여 겹치기 용접 하여 KS B ISO 9018에 따라 시험편을 제작하여 실험하였다. 각 조건에 따른 비드 외관을 관찰하였고 그에 따른 인장시험을 하여 용접성을 평가하였다. 평가 결과 용접전류가 높을수록 깊은 용입이 형성되는 것을 알 수 있었으나 인장강도 측면에서는 모재부 파단으로 인해 일정 변수 이상부터는 큰 차이는 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 용접 전류 200A, 용접 전압 17V의 조건에서와 같이 전압에 비해 전류가 높으면 다량의 스패터가 발생하며 용접이 불안정하고 이로 인해 용접부 파단이 일어나는 것을 확인 하였다. 전압이 높을수록 대체로 결함이 발생 되지 않을 정도의 비드외관을 관찰할 수 있었으며 너무 높은 전압 또한 용접성에 영향을 끼치는 것을 확인하였다. 너무 낮은 전류와 전압의 조건에서는 용접이 정상적으로 되지 않아 인장강도를 측정할 수 없었다. 그러나 용접이 가능한 용접 조건에서는 전류가 증가함에 따라 전압과 이송속도가 증가하더라도 인장강도에는 큰 영향을 미치지 않았다.

트렁크 래치의 베이스 플레이트와 접촉스위치의 최적화 (Optimization of Base Plates and Contact Switches in Trunk Latches)

  • Automobile trunk latches enable trunks to be opened and closed by a latch mechanism, which can be selectively positioned between a locked condition and an open condition. To maintain structural and electronic performance of the trunk latch, the latch needs to endure impact load that occurs in its open and close motion, and a dynamic mechanism needs to be electronically controled by a contact switch connected with a small DC motor. A base plate, which is the most important component relating to the structural safety, commonly uses a high stiffness material SAPH440-P with high manufacturing cost. In this paper, through structural analysis and optimization, production cost is significantly reduced by replacing SAPH440-P used in some region of the base plate with engineering plastic PBT GF 20%. The optimized contact switch reduces difference between distributed pressures of its two legs, which leads to improve the electronic performance of the trunk latch.

유한요소해석을 통한 차량내 복합재 휠체어 고정구의 구조 강도 특성 평가 (Strength Characterisation of Composite Securement Device in the Vehicle by FE Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 복합재를 사용한 휠체어 고정구의 구조 강도 특성에 대하여 평가하였다. 이를 위해 특별교통수단 내 휠체어 고정구의 시험 기준 ISO 10542에 의거하여 전방 충돌 슬레드 유한요소해석을 진행하였고, 이를 통해 얻은 고정구에 작용하는 하중데이터를 휠체어 고정구 유한요소해석의 초기 조건으로 사용하였다. 고정구는 블록, 가이드, 레일로 구성되어 있으며, 이 중에서 레일의 중량 비율이 가장 높기 때문에 탄소섬유 에폭시 복합재를 레일에 적용하는 것이 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기존의 레일에서 하단 부분을 복합재로 적용한 하이브리드 레일은 기존 SAPH 440으로 제작된 레일의 구조강도와 비슷하게 설계할 경우, 약 27% 정도 경량화를 달성할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

파면거칠기 유도 균열닫힘에 의한 혼합모드 피로균열의 전파거동 및 파면에 대한 평가 (Assessment for Propagation Behavior and Fracture Surface of Mixed-mode Fatigue Crack by Fracture Surface-Roughness Induced Crack Closure)

  • In this study, we have investigated the closure behavior of fatigue cracks in SAPH440 steel plates under a mixed-mode I+II loading. A crack image capturing system as a direct measuring method was used to measure the closure levels at a crack tip. The crack closure levels in the fluctuation and stable sections were increased with the increase of the mode mixture ratio. The mode mixture ratio independent fatigue crack propagation rates equation was calculated by considering mixed-mode crack closure levels. The equation was examined according to the application method of crack opening ratio. The fracture surface analysis by C-scan method was also performed in order to investigate the closure mechanism and propagation mode of crack under the mixed-mode I+II loading. The crack closure under the mixed mode I+II is confirmed as a surface roughness closure by the quantitative analysis of fracture surface using the proposed surface roughness parameter.

단순 기어형상의 셰이빙가공에 있어서 작업 변수의 영향 (Influence of Working Variables in Simplified Gear Shaving Process)

  • Shaving technology is one of the significant metal forming technologies which can make the smooth and fine sheared surface of products after shearing process. The sheared surface on the side wall of the cutting edge is very important because it functions as a basic surface for measuring the dimensions of product. Effective sheared surface after shaving can be influenced by several working variables such as shaving allowance, shaving clearance, type of material and profile of cutting edge. The influence of these variables on shaving characteristics was investigated in this study. A cut-off die to make the simplified gear-shaped products was manufactured. Three kinds of sheet metals (AL5052, SPCC and SAPH440) of 3mm thickness were firstly sheared and then shaved for four shaving allowances and three sharing clearances. It was shown through experiments that the optimum working condition to give the maximum effective sheared surface in shaving was found ; Shaving allowance is 0.2mm and Shaving clearance is 0.01mm.

테일러드 블랭크 레이저 용접 강판의 피로균열 전파 거동 (Fatigue Crack Propagation Behavior of Steel Plate of Laser Welded Tailored Blank)

  • In this paper, we investigated the characteristics of fatigue fracture on TB(Tailored Blank) weldment by comparing the fatigue crack propagation characteristics of base metal with those of TB welded sheet used for vehicle body panels. We also investigated the influence of center crack on the fatigue characteristic of laser weld sheet of same thickness. We conducted an experiment on fatigue crack propagation on the base metal specimen of 1.2mm thickness of cold-rolled metal sheet(SPCSD) and 2.0mm thickness of hot-rolled metal sheet(SAPH440) and 1.2+2.0mm TB specimen. We also made an experiment on fatigue crack propagation on 2.0+2.0mm and 1.2+1.2mm thickness TB specimen which had center crack. The characteristics of fatigue crack growth on the base metal were different from those on 1.2+2.0mm thickness TB specimen. The fatigue crack growth rate of the TB welded specimens is slower in low stress intensity factor range$({\Delta}K)$ region and faster in high ${\Delta}K$ region than that of the base metal specimens.

컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용한 자동차용 스프링 링크의 경량화 설계 (Light-weight Design of Automotive Spring Link Based on Computer Aided Engineering)

  • It is well known that the targeted fuel efficiency could only be achieved by more than 40% reduction of the vehicle weight through improved design and extensive utilization of lightweight materials. In order to obtain the goal of the weight reduction of automobiles, the researches about lighter and stronger spring link have been studied without sacrificing the safety of automotive components. In this study, the weight reduction design process of spring link could be proposed based on the variation of von-Mises stress contour by substituting an aluminum alloys (A356) having tensile strength of 245 MPa grade instead of SAPH440 steels. In addition, the effect of the stress and stiffness on shape variations of the spring link were examined and compared carefully. It could be reached that this approach could be well established and be contributed for light-weight design guide and the safe design conditions of the automotive spring link development.

CAE 해석을 이용한 자동차용 AA6061 리어 서브-프레임의 경량화 설계 (Light-weight Design of Automotive AA6061 Rear Sub-frame Based on CAE Simulation)

  • It is well known that the targeted fuel efficiency could only be achieved by more than 40% reduction of the vehicle weight through improved design and extensive utilization of lightweight materials. In order to obtain the goal of the weight reduction of automobiles, the researches about lighter and stronger rear sub-frame have been studied without sacrificing the safety of rear sub-frame. In this study, the weight reduction design process of rear sub-frame could be proposed based on the variation of von-Mises stress contour by substituting an AA6061 (aluminum 6061 alloy) having tensile strength of 310 MPa grade instead of SAPH440 steels. In addition, the stress ratio variations (stress over fatigue limit) of the rear sub-frame were examined and compared carefully. It could be reached that this approach method could be well established and be contributed for light-weight design guide and the optimum design conditions of the automotive rear sub-frame development.
