  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the immediate effects of ankle restriction with an elastic band on ground reaction force during a golf swing. Method: There were five subjects who were teaching pros with an average golf score of 75. A force platform (9281B, Switzerland) was used. The independent variable was the presence of an elastic band. The dependent variables were three-dimensional ground reaction forces to analyze the transfer of momentum with the timing, control and coordination of the three forces. A paired t-test within subject repeated measure design was used via an SPSS 20.0. Results: Wearing an elastic band around one's ankles significantly makes shorter time differences between the moment of cross anterior / posterior forces and vertical force and median value of anterior / posterior forces during the backswing, between medial and lateral maximum and anterior / posterior force from the top of the back swing to the mid down swing, and creates an anterior / posterior maximum force. Conclusion: Wearing an elastic band around one's ankles affects control and coordination between three dimensional forces, and anterior force power according to each phase of the golf swing.

  • Changes and possible origin of haemolymph proteins during the cuticle formation and hardening are determined by means of acrylamide gel electrophoresis and immunodiffusion. The results by acrylamide gel electrophoresis showed at least 19 protein bands in the haemolymph and 13 fractions in the fat body with relatively constant pattern during the period of cuticle formation and hardening. Both haemolymph and fat body proteins are generally characterized by the presence of three to four heavy stained bands and several thin bands near the top region of the gel. At least over five haemolymph proteins are constantly present during this period. Immunodiffusion tests show that of total eight to nine pupal haemolymph proteins two proteins were already detected in the fat body before pupation and other two proteins were also found in the fat body immediately after pupation, suggesting fat body as possible source of these two haemolymph proteins.

  • Since the digital TV signal band is very wide ($54{\sim}806MHz$), the VCO used in the frequency synthesizer must also have a wide frequency tuning range. Multiple LC VCOs have been used to cover such wide frequency band. However, the chip area increases due to the increased number of integrated inductors. A general method for achieving both reduced VCO gain(Kvco) and wide frequency band is to use the switched-capacitor bank LC VCO. In this paper, a scheme is proposed to cover the full band using only one VCO. The RF VCO block designed using a 0.18um CMOS process consists of a wideband LC VCO with reduced variation of VCO gain and frequency steps. Buffers, divide-by-2 circuits and control logics the simulation results show that the designed circuit has a phase noise at 100kHz better than -106dBc/Hz throughout the signal band and consumes $9.5{\sim}13mA$ from a 1.8V supply.

  • In this paper, A compact ultra-wideband(UWB) bandpass filter(BPF) with WLAN notched filter has been proposed. H-shaped slot is studied and adopted to tighten the coupling of inter-digital capacitor in order to improve the BPF's performance. Three pairs of tapered defected ground structures(DGS) are formed to assign their transmission zeros towards the out of band signal, thereby suppressing the spurious passband. Also Meander line slot is developed to reject the undesired wireless local-area network(WLAN) radio signals. That's combining these three structures we obtain a small sized UWB BPF.

  • Radar Cross Sections(RCS) for the radar targets are measured and their performance characteristics are analyzed through computer simulation. In addition, constructional features for the commercial radar reflectors are investigated. Then, the optimum design condition of a passive-type radar reflector was chosen. The results show that the octahedral-type radar reflector with 10$\lambda$ sized circular plates has best performance in X-band($\lambda$=3.2cm). However, to comply with newly adopted 2000 SOLAS regulations, larger sized circular plate is required to provide at both X-band and S-band.

  • Herein, a highly elastic e-textile band with a two-wire transmission line was designed and fabricated for smart clothing applications. A conductive yarn with a very uniform low electrical resistance of 0.0357 Ω/cm was developed and used for the signal and ground lines. To control the elasticity of the e-textile band, spandex yarns were added in the warp direction during knitting and the tension was adjusted. As the length of the e-textile band increased, its RF performance deteriorated. Furthermore, the frequency corresponding to -3 dB S21 was lower in the 30% stretched band than in the unstretched band. For the e-textile bands with lengths 10, 50, and 100 cm, the frequencies corresponding to -3 dB S21 were 107.77, 24.56, and 13.02 MHz when not stretched, and 88.74, 22.02, and 12.60 MHz when stretched by 30%. The fabricated bands were flatter, more flexible, and more elastic than transmission line cables; thus, they can be easily integrated into wearables and smart clothing. However, to increase RF performance and achieve optimum utilization, future studies must focus on the fabrication of transmission lines with lower resistance and reduced distance between the signal and ground lines, and thus the number of transmission lines can be increased.

  • RAPD (Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA) analysis was conducted to Schisandra nigra plants in order to select the specific markers for monoecious and dioecious individuals. RAPD results using eighty random 10-mer primers revealed that S. nigra had a different banding pattern from S. chinensis and Kadsura japonica. When DNA isolated from leaves of monoecious and dioecious plants were used as PCR template, only five primers, OPA-17, OPA-19, OPB-03, OPB-09 and OFB-16, showed polymorphic band patterns. No variation in banding profiles within male or female individuals was observed when these five primers were used whereas three monoecious plants (No 1, No 2 and No 3) showed different banding patterns one another, A 750 bp segment was amplified by primer OPB-3 from male individuals. On the other hand, two segments, 950 bp and 1690 bp, with OPA-19 and 700 bp of segment with OPB-3 were amplified in female individuals. These result indicate that the specific buds of male and female S. nigra could be used as genetic markers for the early discrimination of male and female individuals.

  • $(ZrO_2)_{0.66}(HfO_2)_{0.34}$ thin films as gate dielectrics have been proposed to overcome the problems of tunneling current and degradation mobility inachieving a thin equivalent oxide thickness. An extremely thin $SiO_2$ layer is used in order to separate the carrier in MOSFET channel from the dielectric field fluctuation caused by phonons in the dielectric which decreases the carrier mobility. The electronic and optical properties influenced the device performance to a great extent. $(ZrO_2)_{0.66}(HfO_2)_{0.34}$ dielectric films on p-Si (100) were grown by atomic layer deposition method, for which the conduction band offsets, valence band offsets and band gapswere obtained by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy. The band gap, valence and conduction band offset values for $(ZrO_2)_{0.66}(HfO_2)_{0.34}$ dielectric thin film, grown on Si substrate were about 5.34, 2.35 and 1.87 eV respectively. This band alignment was similar to that of $ZrO_2$. In addition, The dielectric function (k, $\omega$), index of refraction n and the extinction coefficient k for the $(ZrO_2)_{0.66}(HfO_2)_{0.34}$ thin films were obtained from a quantitative analysis of REELS data by comparison to detailed dielectric response model calculations using the QUEELS-$\varepsilon$(k, $\omega$)-REELS software package. These optical properties are similar with $ZrO_2$ dielectric thin films.

  • We had experimental studies of microwave output generator. We experimented with a corrugate-shped K-band slow wave guide in the backward wave oscillator. It generated output 표 interaction between electron beam's generation and magnetic field. We estimated oscillation frequency at 24GHz by changing propagation velocity and group velocity. We identified movement by second harmonic of Cherencov interaction and slow cyclotron mode. In our study we achieved oscillation stabilization, generation of long pulse, improvement of oscillation efficiency and output.
