  • The electrochemical reduction of N-oxyldiethylenebenzothiazole-2-sulfenamide (ODBS; vulcanization accelerator) was investigated by direct current polarography, differential pulse polarography, cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential coulometry. The irreversible electrode reduction of ODBS proceeded E-C-E-C reaction mechanism by three electrons transfer with irreversible one wave (-1.86 volts vs. Ag/0.1 M AgN$O_3$ in AN). As the results of controlled potential electrolysis, mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT), benzothiazole disulfide (MBT dimer) and extricated sulfur were products which followed by cleavage of the sulfenamide (-S-N=) bond. Upo the basis of products analysis and polarogram interpretation witli pH variable, electrochemical reaction mechanism was suggested.

Effects of Deposition Parameters on TiN Film by Plasma Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition(I) -Influence of Temperature on the TiN Deposition- (플라즈마 화학 증착법(PACVD)에 의한 TiN 증착시 증착변수가 미치는 영향(I) -증착온도를 중심으로-)

  • To investigate the influence of temperature on the TiN film, it was deposited on the STC-3 steel and Si-wafer from $TiCl_4/N_2/H_2$ gas mixture by using the radio frequency plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition. The deposition was performed at temperature of $400^{\circ}C-500^{\circ}C$. The results showed that crystalline TiN film was deposited over $480^{\circ}C$, and all specimens showed the crystalline TiN X-ray diffraction peaks after vacuum heat treatment for 3 hrs, at $1000^{\circ}C$, $10^{-5}torr$. While the film thickness was increased above $480^{\circ}C$, it was decreased under $480^{\circ}C$ as temperature increased. And the contents of titanium were increased and it of chlorine were decreased as temperature increased. Because temperature increase was attributed to the increase in the density of TiN film, surface hardness of TiN film was increased with temperature.

Investigation on S-wave Velocity for The Marine Deposits in Incheon Coastal Area. (현장시험법을 통한 인천지역 해성퇴적토의 전단파 속도 특성 고찰)

  • In this study, S-wave velocity range is gauged in every field test method at the total 5 locations in the marine deposits in Incheon area. field test method is accomplished the SPT(Standard Penetration Test), CPT(Cone Penetration Test), SPS(Suspension PS Logger), SCPT (Seismic Cone Penetration Test) and so on. The S-wave velocity of SCPT in the downhole test method is measured lower than SPS logger at the N value > 15 range. But at the N value < 15 range, SPS logger and SCPT result is measured same. In this result, although the soil strength of the downhole test method increased, the rate of S-wave velocity is tend to be slowed. This result shows that the downhole test is difficult to apply at the place that the intensity of soil is more extreme and harder soil. And it shows that the existing Imai(1982) type that is mostly used within the country is not suitable for the marine deposits. Thus, the empirical formula that can show the range of S-wave velocity in each N value for domestic soil is needed.

The Penetration of n-Alkanols into Model Membranes of Cholesterol Plus Phospholipids Extracted from Brain Membranes (n-Alkanols가 Cholesterol과 인지질들로서 제제한 인공세포막에서의 침투정도)

  • 신선한 소의 대뇌피질로부터 synaptosomal plasma membrane vesicles(SPMV)를 분리하고 이 SPMV로부터 추출한 총지질(cholesterol과 각종 인지질 함유)로서 제제한 인공세포막(SPMVTL)에서의 n-alkanols 침투 정도를 형광 probe를 이용한 형광 소광법을 통하여 검색하였다. n-alkanols는 SPMVTL 외부 단층(outer monolayer)의 표면에 주로 분포하되 그 탄소수에 비례하여 소수성 부위에 분포되는 양이 증가되는 경향을 나타내었다(1-decanol은 예외). Methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 1-butanol, 1-pentanol, 1-hexanol, 1-hepatnol, 1-cotanol, 1-nonanol 및 1-decanol은 SPMVTL 외부 단층 표면(친수성 부위)에 분포되는 것이 소수성 부위에 분포되는 것에 비하여 각각 650, 288, 151.6, 69.5, 36.8, 11.9, 4.8, 1.6, 0.74, 2.1배가 된다는 것을 확인하였다. 1-decanol은 $C_{10}$인데도 불구하고 $C_8$인 1-octanol에 비하여 적은 양이 소수성 부위에 침투 분포되는 것이 확인되었다. 또한 n-alkanols는 저자등이 이미 보고한 SPMV에서의 경우보다도 본 연구에서의 SPMVTL의 경우가 현저하게 많은 양이 소수성 부위로 침투 분포된다는 것이 확인되었다.

Kinetic Study on the Alkaline Hydrolysis of the Substituted Phenyl N,N-diethyl-P-benzylphosphonamidates (치환 Phenyl N,N-diethyl-P-benzylphosphonamidates의 염기성 가수분해 반응에 대한 속도론적 연구)

  • The second order rate constants for the hydrolysis of substituted phenyl N,N-diethyl-P-benzylphosphonamidates (2,4-$(NO_2)_2$, 4-$NO_2$, 4-CN, 4-Cl, 4-H)in 20% dioxane-water (v/v) have been determined by UV/Vis spectrophotometric method at various temperatures. The activation parameters (Ea, ${\Delta}H^{\neq}$,${\Delta}S^{\neq}$) were calculated from the rate constants and the reaction constant ($\rho$) was also estimated by Hammett equation. The activation entropies of the title reactions show considerably negative values, this result is not consistent with a dissociative mechanism (EA) in which a positive or a slightly negative value of the entropy of activation should be expected. Further, kinetic evidence for an associative mechanism (AE) was obtained from the linear free energy relationship. By the results of kinetic study for the alkaline hydrolysis of substituted phenyl N,N-diethyl-P-benzylphosphonamidates, it may be concluded that these reactions proceed through an associative mechanism.

  • Aluminum nitride (AlN) powders and whiskers were synthesized by a modified carbothermal reduction and nitridation where a ($NH_4)[Al(ethylenediaminetetraacetate)]{\cdot}2H_2O$ complex is used as precursor. The AlN powders were obtained by calcining the complex without mixing any carbon source under a flow of nitrogen in the temperature range 1200∼1500$^{\circ}$C and then burning out the residual carbon. The nitridation process was investigated by $^{27}Al$ magic-angle spinning (MAS) unclear magnetic resonance, infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The complex is pyrolyzed, converted to ${\rho}$- and ${\gamma}$- alumina and then nitridated to AlN without ${\gamma}-{\alpha}$ alumina transition. The morphology of ${\gamma}$-alumina, when it was converted to AlN, was retained, strongly indicating that ${\gamma}$-alumina is converted to AlN through solid-state $AlO_xN_y$, not through gaseous intermediates such as aluminum and aluminaum suboxides. AlN whiskers were obtained, when a (0001) sapphire was used as a catalyst.

  • 유기발광 소자의 전공 수송층 재료로 많이 쓰이고 있는 N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-(3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4-4'-diamine(TPD)는 OLED소자가 연속적으로 작동하게 되면 TPD박막이 결정화되는데, 이러한 결정화는 디스플래이 소자에 dark spot(흑점)의 문제점을 가져왔다. 이러한 원인을 제거하기 위해서 ITO위에 PolyThiophene을 완충층으로 제작함으로써, OLED 소자의 효율에 미치는 영향은 크다고 할수 있다. 자체 제작한 플라즈마 중합장치의 중합조건과 중합체 PolyThiophene의 분자구조를 알아보았다.

  • Thin Silicon oxynitride(SiON) films have been chemically deposited using 193nm ArF Excimer Laser CVD, with $Si_{2}H_{8}$, $N_{2}O$, and $NH_3$ as the reactive gases and $N_2$ as the carrier gas. Experimental results show that deposition rate and refractive index have a strong dependence on substrate temperature, chamber pressure, gas ratio, laser power and laser beam height. Electrical characterization of oxynitride films demonstrates that for $NH_{3}/N_{2}O$ flow ratios ranging from 0.25 to 1, the leakage currents, the interface trap density and the capacitances (dielect ric constant) increase and the dielectric breakdown fields decrease

  • The most common form of pre-emphasis is y(n)=s(n)-As(n-1), where A typically lies between 0.9 and 1.0 in voiced signal. Also, this value reflects the degree of pre-emphasis and equals R(1)/R(0) in conventional method. This paper proposes a new flattening method to compensate the weaked high frequency components that occur by vocal cord characteristic. We used interval information of LSP to estimate formant frequency, After obtaining the value of slope and inverse slope using linear interpolation among formant frequency, flattening process is followed. Experimental results show that the proposed method flattened the weaked high frequency components effectively. That is, we could improve the flattening characteristics by using interval information of LSP as flattening factor at the process that compensates weaked high frequency components.
