The purposes of this study were to identify styles of contemporary interior design, construct their images, and find out the relation of the identified styles to the structure images. Content analysis was used as the main method of this study, and the focus of the analysis was on a typological approach. Two hundred interior design photos were drawn from five different interior design magazines published in the past ten years, and ,they were analyzed by interior design professionals. Contemporary interior design was classified into ten styles: romantic, ethnic, classical, high tech, elegant, country, modern, minimal, natural, and causal. Given the ten styles, five images of interior design were identified - simple, comfortable, rustic, classical, and delightful. With regard to the relationships between 10 styles and 5 images of interior design, the this study found that the romantic style was related to the images of rustic and classical, the ethnic style to the images of comfortable, classical, and delightful, the classical style to the image of classical, the high tech style to the images of classical and rustic, the elegant style to the images of simple and classical, the country style to the images of comfortable and rustic, the modern style to the images of simple and delightful, the minimal style to the image of comfortable, the natural style to the images of comfortable and delightful, and the causal style to the images of comfortable and delightful.

This study compares, analyzes and reevaluates color conditions and images before and after the execution of the 7th curriculum with elementary schools in Gwang-ju Metropolitan City based on the fact that color among physical environments of elementary classrooms has an important influence on children's emotion and draws problems and aims to accumulate the basic materials for preparing guidelines of improving color environment at general classrooms of elementary schools. Consequently, according to color conditions, major colors on ceiling and wall were high brightness/nigh chroma of Y and YR line regardless of division of grades and other color factors of classroom showed that wall and ceiling used similar colors, but brightness was higher after change than before it. In evaluation of color images, lower grades showed negative color images such as 'common,' 'rustic,' and 'strange' before change, but they showed positive color images after change such as 'clean,' 'unique,' and 'soft'. But, most of higher grades showed negative reactions before change such as 'common,' 'strange,' and 'rustic' and they showed positive reactions after change only in such items as 'clean,' 'warm,' and 'unique', but Indicated negative reactions in remaining items such as 'strange,' 'rustic,' 'stiff,' and 'artificial'. Accordingly, in using colors for lower grade classroom, arrangement of colors through adjustment of brightness and chroma between ceiling, wall and other components based on coloring of high brightness and low chroma of similar colors should be considered and for higher grade classroom, arrangement of colors of unique images of mid-brightness/mid-chroma among warm color lines of similar colors should be examined.

The essay attempts at a critical reading of Thomas Hardy's The Mayor of Casterbridge (1886) in terms of character and socio-cultural change. Juxtaposing the story of Michael Henchard's career with the social and economic changes in the agricultural town, it attempts to elaborate on the complex ways in which Hardy relates the old modes of life and thinking to the material culture. Though the novel is centered on the story of Henchard, the Henchard-Farfrae clash represents the conflict of "old" and "new" modes of socio-economic organization and consciousness. The story of the rustic man of character struggling with his contradictory traits of strong will-power and emotional collapse suggests that Hardy's literary representation of the rural community and the rustic protagonist is deeply rooted in historical reality. However, while there is the interlocking of the changes in personal fate and social change, the representation is a "reinvented" literary construction with complex mediation. Despite the narrator's emphasis on Henchard's immutability, peculiarity, and resilience, his character is, in a complex, mediated way, shaped by the material conditions of English rural community in the late 19th century. The mediating role of Elizabeth-Jane as a narrative resolution embodies Hardy's ambivalent historical position concerning the period undergoing change and conflict.

E-business has been regarded as new type of marketing channels and has been growing rapidly. The purpose of this study was to investigate textile sensibility depending on consumers' purchase experience of apparel product in e-business. The analyses of 202 questionnaires were conducted by frequency, mean, and standard deviation, and t-test using SPSS 10.0. Computer setting environment was 1280$\times$1024 resolution with 96 DPI (dots per inch) for this experiment. The results of this research were as follows: Melton (flat axis), habutae (thin axis), suede (wet axis), and terry (rustic axis) showed that there were no significant differences in textile sensibility regarding purchasing experience in the cyber apparel store. But oxford (hard axis) showed that purchasing experience group perceived less modern and smooth textile sensibility than no purchasing experience group. In case of linen (dry axis), purchasing experience group showed less modern textile sensibility. In case of muslin (soft axis), purchasing experience group had more flat and less soft textile sensibility than no purchasing experience group. In case of homespun (thick axis), purchasing experience group perceived less modern textile sensibility than no purchasing experience group.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify and describe phenomenological structures of the experiences of dietary life on elderly over 100 years old. Methods: The participants of this research included nine persons over the age of 100 years of age and ten family members who assisted in the dietary regime. Qualitative data were collected by individual in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using Colaizzi's method of phenomenology. Results: The results of the research provide four categories and nine theme clusters. The categories included a rustic menu consisting of vegetables, grain-oriented traditional food, sensible dining table in harmony with nature, dietary life and emphasis on how to eat. The nine theme clusters were preference for fresh vegetable, preference of cooked potherb, boiled rice and cereal as main staple food, intake of soybeans, preference of native local foods, non-preference of unhealthy foods, select healthy and control food portion sizes for longevity, objection to light eating, and enjoying a meal. Conclusion: The findings of the study offer insight about the nutrition patterns among the people over 100 years of age.

Seamus Heaney, a famous Irish poet after Yeats, has written some pastoral lyrics from his experiences of farm life and childhood memories. These poems, in spite of his simple overt praise of a rustic farm life, have layers of meaning with their vast allusiveness and implications. He is an extremely literary writer dealing with history from the Celtic myth and a long English literary history. Though his style reminds that of a Victorian poet through his allusions of nature, he is a modern poet of innovative skills and senses. The explication of his representative sonnet sequence, the "Glanmore Sonnets" will reveal exquisite, complicated poetics of a modern poet. The poems are basically love poems, and the love is directed to his beloved wife, his lifetime companion. The poems relate the cultivation of a land to the poet's excavating language from the classics and to the images of love making. Through a careful reading of the sonnets this article will broaden our knowledge on how a modern love lyric of layered meanings can retain the past tradition in its complicated poetics.

Wabi-Sabi is the most conspicuous and characteristic feature of what we think of as traditional Japanese beauty. It occupies roughly the same position in the japanese pantheon of aesthetic values as do the Greek ideals of beauty and perfection in the West. All things air impermanent. All things are imperfect. all things are incomplete. it offers an aesthetic ideal that uses the uncompromising touch of mortality to focus the mind on the exquisite transient beauty to be found in aoo things impermanent. Wabi-Sabi is a beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. It is a beauty of things unconventional. Wabi-Sabi is the art of everyday life. These may be the methods for the relationship establishment between human and space on the ground of Wabi-Sabl concepts which is commonly found no in contemporary interior space in japan.

솔잎혹파리 유충의 포식성 조류를 조사하기 위하여 1967년부터 1968년까지 솔잎혹파리 유충의 낙하최성기인 10월 15일부터 11월 30일까지 조류 380개체 (1967년 182개체, 1968 년 198개체)를 포획하여 위(胃)내용물을 조사한것이다. 1. 솔잎혹파리 유충이 지표로 낙하하는 시기에 이를 많이 포식하는 새들은 박새, 쇠박새, 진박새, 곤줄박이, 오목눈이, 쑥새, 노란턱멧새, 꼬까참새, 상모솔새등이였다. 2. 조류별 솔잎혹파리 유충의 평균 포식수는 1967년도에 쑥새가 108마리, 쇠박새 64마리, 박새 25마리였고 1968년도에는 진박새 36마리, 박새 28마리, 쇠박새 17마리였다 3. 솔잎혹파리 포식성 조류의 포식량은 솔잎혹파리 유충의 시기별 낙하율과 일치하였으며 솔잎혹파리가 많이 지표로 떨어지는 11월초중순에 가장 많았다 4. 포획한 조류 380개체의 위(胃)를 분석조사한 바 솔잎혹파리 유충을 포식한 개체는 157개체 (1967년 53개체, 1968년 104개체)였다.

The purpose of this thesis is to review relationship between various expression method in modern make-up and the tendency of Neo-Avantgarde. In this paper, the author classified the distinctive characters in Neo-Avantagarde with Historicism, Decadence, Humor, and Inhumanism and explained innovation and creatio which is manifested in the late 1990\`s make-up by studying Neo-Avantgarde tendency expressed in modern make-up. The results are as follows. 1. The Historicism in modern make-up is expressed in Japanese Kabuki Make-up, Chinese Pecking Opera make-up, and Primitive mask Make-up in Africa. 2. The Decadence is manifested in Tattoo make-up which is expressing fetishism and fin-de-냗칟 image, and Snobism Make-up which is expressing selg-ostentation and eroticism with artificial nail and eyelash. 3. The humor appears to the Character Make-up copying the characters in doll plays, animation and juvenile story. In addition it is showed in Kitsch Make-up, which has vulagr, rustic and childish image by wearing so diffusive and cheap ornaments. 4. The Inhumanism is appeared in Graphic Make-up which is in the pursuit of the visual happiness. It includes simple geometrical type, drawing and coloring. It is also showed in Vampire Make-up, which means the make-up style mading horro, hizarrerie, and mistery by primary color(black and red) make-up. As the above, Neo-Avantgarde can account for the diversity and pluralism of contemporary make-up.

In the current fashion design, the 'environmental friendliness' affects the practically and conceptuality in all industry and culture sectors. This study seeks to examine specific design elements as the content of design factors in environment oriented fashion. The subjects of this paper are studied through scholarly journals that are confined to those from 1990 (when naturalism and ecology trends started to be in fashion) to February 2009. This study used 'Naturalism', 'Green', 'Environment-friendly', 'Eco', 'Sustainable', 'Well-being' and 'Lohas' as key words for the literature search. The analysis is performed through a content analysis and the unit of analysis is based upon the adjectives, nouns, and phrases related to the content of the design elements such as line, color, and textiles. In the results, more expression is natural, minimal, transformable, and sportive style in line, YR, white, soft, pale, and dull tone in color. The prominent textiles and texture were natural fabrics, environment-friendly fabrics, recycled fabrics, natural dyeing, functional finishes, rustic surfaces, flexibility, and extensibility. The results of this paper will help in future fashion design product development for environment-friendly fashion brands.
