강우시 도시지역 강우 유출수 오염부하 기원평가 (Evaluating pollution origins of runoff in urban area by stormwater)

  • 홍제천 유역의 평창 배수분구를 대상으로 강우시 발생하수의 특성을 파악하기 위해 유량 및 수질 조사를 수행하였고, 강우유출수를 기저하수, 강우, 지붕유출수, 도로유출수, 관내 퇴적물 등 오염원별로 분석하여 기원별 초염기여도를 파악하였다. 강우시 발생초기의 오염물질의 농도는 초기세척현상에 의해 비강우시 농도의 3-10배 이상 높게 나타났으나, 강우 후반기에는 희석에 의해 비강우시 평균 농도 보다 오히려 낮은 농도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 오염부하의 오염원별 기여도 분석에서 관거 퇴적물에 의한 오염도가 전체 오염도에서 COD의 경우 54.6%를, SS은 73.3%를 차지하여, 가장 높은 기여도를 보여 관거 내 퇴적물의 준설과 세정을 통하여 상당량의 오염부하를 저감시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

WEP 모형을 이용한 도림천 유역 물순환 모의 (Water Cycle Simulation for the Dorimcheon Catchment Using WEP Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 전형적인 도시하천으로 왜곡된 물순환을 보이는 도림천 유역에 대해서 WEP(Water and Energy transfer Processes) 모형을 이용하여 물순환 모의를 수행하였다. 과거(l975년)와 현재(2000년)의 토지이용도를 이용한 모의를 통해 도시화에 의한 불투수율 증가가 유출특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 모의결과 도시의 개발로 인해 과거보다 첨두 도달시간은 감소하고, 첨두 및 총유출량이 증가한 것으로 나타났으며, 침투량과 기저유출량이 감소한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 왜곡된 물순환을 회복하기 위한 대안으로 침투트랜치와 투수성 포장재의 설치 효과에 대한 모의를 수행하였으며, 모의결과 두 가지 대안을 함께 적용했을 경우에 도시개발 이전의 유출특성에 근접하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

합류식 월류수와 분류식 우수유출수의 비점오염물질 유출특성 비교 (Comparison of Characteristics of Nonpoint Source Pollution from Separate and Combined Sewer System)

  • In this study, the characteristics of nonpoint source pollutant loads from separate sewer overflow (SSO) and combined sewer overflow (CSO) were evaluated during 2016 in Namyangju city, Korea. Five rainfall events were monitored during 2016 with ranging from 14.5 mm to 121.5 mm. The runoff ratio of CSO was higher than that of SSO because only design volume of maximum sanitary sewer ($1Q_h$) was transported and treated and $2Q_h$ was overflowed to waterbody during rainy day although combined sewer system was designed to transport $3Q_h$ to treatment system. The event mean concentrations (EMCs) and pollutant loads from CSO were higher than those from SSO. BOD and COD of CSO, and TOC and TN of SSO represented distinct first flush phenomena. The inadequate management in combined sewer system from which the untreated $2Q_h$ from CSO was overflowed to waterbody during rainy day could influence on high pollutant loads and first flushing. Treating $2Q_h$ from CSO, source control such as low impact development, and treating outflow from SSO were strongly recommended to control non-point source pollution in urban area.

중소도시지역 비점오염물질의 유출 특성 (Runoff Characteristics of Nonpoint Pollutants Source in Urban Area)

  • This study was conducted to investigate runoff characteristics of non-point pollutants source at the urban area in boeun area, Chungbuk Province. The monitoring site covering the watershed of $2.11\;km^2$ contains about 40.3 % of total watershed with the urban area. The monitoring was conducted with six events for five months and Event Mean Concentration(EMC) and Site Mean Concentration(SMC) of SS, BOD, CODMn, T-N, T-P were calculated on the result of the water quality parameters. As a result of the comparion between Arithmetic Mean Concentration and Event Mean Concentration, it showed that over all Event Mean Concentration was higher than Arithmetic Mean Concentration. And it showed that SS, BOD, T-P featured the first-flushing effect, showing relatively high concentration in early-stage storm event.

강우 시 도시 하천으로의 비점오염원 유출특성 (The runoff characteristics of non-point source to urban stream during rainfall)

  • We studied runoff characteristics of combined sewer overflows in a city while it was raining. The event mean concentration (EMC) of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand ($COD_{Cr}$), suspended solids (SS), total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP) in one of the combined sewer sites in Chuncheon was 63.5-211.6 mg/L, 114.9-523.8 mg/L, 70.3-436.4 mg/L, 6.4-33.0 mg/L, and 1.09-6.81 mg/L, respectively. In another combined sewer, the EMC of BOD, COD, SS, TN, and TP was 42.1-131.4 mg/L, 107.7-256.5 mg/L, 33.7-221.1 mg/L, 7.9-26.4 mg/L, and 1.16-3.91 mg/L, respectively. The ratio of the cumulative pollutant mass and the cumulative discharged volume determined using all parameters (BOD, $COD_{Cr}$, SS, TN, and TP) was over 1.0, which shows the first flush effect. Relationships between flow and loadings of BOD, $COD_{Cr}$, SS, TN, and TP were 0.90, 0.89, 0.88, 0.89, 0.92, respectively. Although the size of two areas was almost same, pollutant concentration and loading were different because of the amount of rainfall, rainfall intensity and basin area.

SWAT-K 모형을 이용한 설마천 유역의 수문성분 해석 (Hydrologic Component Analysis of the Seolma-Cheon Watershed by Using SWAT-K Model)

  • In this study, long term semi distributed hydrologic model SWAT-K(Korea) is applied to the Seolma-Cheon watershed to analyze the hydrological components. Seolma-Cheon watershed has been operated as the test watershed of Korea Institute of Construction Technology for 13 years. Therefore it has an enough hydrologic data to analyze the hydrologic characteristics of small watershed. Especially, for the proper runoff analysis of steep watershed, calibration is performed reflecting the regression equation of slope and slope length. The simulated discharge shows good agreement with the observed one and the simulated evapotranspiration and groundwater discharge also show satisfactory results. Finally we presents the ratio of major hydrologic components for 3 years with those obsrved ones. This study is the basic research for future analyses such as relationship between hydrologic components and vegetation, watershed sediment nonpoint sources discharge etc.

밭 비점오염저감을 위한 잔디초생대 적용 비용 및 활용성 평가 (Estimation of Application Cost and Utilization of Turf Grass VFS for Reduction of Uplands NPS Pollution)

  • This study was aimed to estimate the total application cost and utilization of Turf grass VFS application through the field experiment. The experimental plots were constructed in an upland field of Iksan city within the Saemangeum watershed. Turf grass was transplanted at the down-slope edge of the pollution source area in each of the treated plots. Three rainfall events were monitored during the experiment period, and the rainfall-runoff relationships and NPS pollution reduction effects of the VFS systems were assessed. As results, the reduction ratio of runoff volume ranged 14.1~64.0 %, while the NPS pollution reduction ratio ranged 9.8~73.9 % for SS, 24.0~84.2 % for T-N, 31.6~80.9 % for T-P respectively. The total cost of VFS application was estimated by considering purchase cost of Turf grass sods and construction and maintenance costs of VFS system as well as the loss caused by giving up crop cultivation for the area needed to construct the VFS. The total cost of the VFS was estimated to be approximately \3,379,000/ha/year for the first year of application, and this cost could be decreased to \1,899,000/ha/year from the second year as the construction cost of VFS could no longer need to be counted afterwards. Apart from the NPS pollution reduction effects, the possible utilization of VFS was examined by detaching Turf grass within 40 % of VFS area for sale during spring time when the VFS systems fully covered. The benefit of selling the detached Turf grass sods was estimated as \1,260,000/ha/year, and also found that the VFS area successfully recovered by the time of the summer period. This benefit could attract farmers to adopt the VFS technique to manage agricultural NPS pollution.

WASP5 모형을 적용한 복하천의 수질 예측 (Water Quality Modeling for Bokha Stream by WASP5 Model)

  • 하천 수질예측 모형으로서 WASP5 모형을 선정하고, 복하천에 적용한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 년평균 유달율을 적용한 결과, 실측치와 계산치 사이에 큰 차이가 나타내므로 시간을 고려한 동적모의발생을 위해서는 계절에 따른 유달율의 변화를 반영하여야 할 것이다. 2. 월별 유달율을 고려한 부하량을 입력하여 계산한 결과, 실측치와 계산치가 거의 일치하므로 유역으로부터의 부하량을 이용한 하천수질 예측모형으로서 WASP5 모형의 활용이 기대된다. 3. GIS를 이용한 부하량 산정, 유역의 최적관리(BMP's)를 통한 발생량 저감, 처리장의 신${\cdot}$증설 등 경계조건이 변동된 경우, 본 WASP5모형에 시기별 유달율을 고려한 자료가 입력된다면 하천수질농도의 예측이나 수질개선효과의 파악이 용이할 것으로 판단된다.

도암호 유역 송천에서의 강우유출수 분석을 통한 EMC와 초기세척비율 (MFFn) 산정 (Determination of EMC and MFFn Rainfall Runoff in Songcheon, Doam Lake Watershed)

  • The Doam Lake watershed has a significant impact on the downstream water system due to nutrients and sediment outflow during rainfall caused by steep slopes, soil losses, and fertilization. These non-point sources are unclear in the discharge area and are affected by land use patterns, soil characteristics, and topographical features of the watershed. Therefore, this study conducted rainfall monitoring from July to October 2019 in Songcheon upstream of the Doam Lake watershed, one of the non-point pollution source management areas. Then, after analyzing rainfall runoff, Event Mean Concentration (EMC) and Mass First Flush ratio (MFFn) were calculated to compare and analyze the characteristics of rainfall and the non-point pollutant discharge. As a result of the analysis, it showed various non-point pollutant emission characteristics for each rainfall event. In addition, the concentration of EMC and the MFFn were affected by the average rainfall intensity and the maximum rainfall intensity, and were not significantly affected by the number of antecedent drying days. In the future, it is expected that effective non-point source reduction measures and management measures according to rainfall intensity through continuous monitoring and analysis will be needed.

ESP-PDF 기법을 이용한 Citarum 유역의 월 유출 예측 (Monthly Runoff Forecasting of Citarum River Basin by means of ESP-PDF Technique)

  • 인도네시아의 Citarum 유역을 대상으로 구축된 RRFS를 이용하여 해당유역의 상류에 위치한 다목적 댐인 Saguling 댐에 대한 2005년 월 유입량예측을 수행하여 보았다. 실제 예측과정에는 ESP 기법을 적용하였고 여기에 기상전망을 고려할 수 있는 사전처리기법인 PDF ratio 방법을 이용하여 유출량 시나리오의 발생확률을 갱신하였다. 이를 위하여 대상유역의 월 강우량 관측 자료에 대한 초보예측을 통하여 2005년 관측 강우량에 따라 기상전망을 생성하였다. 또한 Saguling 댐의 월 유입량 과거 관측자료에 대한 초보예측을 통하여 High Flow, Normal Flow, Low Flow에 대한 예측구간을 구성하여 보았다. Fig. 1과 Fig. 2는 각각 ESP 기법과 PDF ratio 방법을 이용하여 산정한 Normal Flow와 Low Flow의 상한계 유입량의 발생확률의 변화를 도시한 것이다. 관측 유입량이 발생한 구간의 예측확률을 기반으로 예측점수를 산정해 본 결과 ESP 기법에 의한 예측점수가 0.333을 상회하고 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 이는 ESP 기법에 의한 예측결과가 초보예측보다 정확도가 높음을 의미하는 것으로 본 연구에서 구성한 ESP 시스템의 적용성을 확인할 수 있다. 또한 고무적인 결과로서 PDF ratio 방법에 의한 예측점수가 ESP 기법에 의한 예측점수를 상회하고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 ESP 기법에 의한 예측결과를 확률기상전망을 이용하여 갱신할 경우 예측 정확도를 개선시킬 수 있음을 의미하는 것이다.
