주입선의 설치방법이 금속의 주조성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (Sprue design and its effect on the castability of ceramonetal nonprecious alloys)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of spure designs and air vent on the relative castability of the nonprecious alloys, commonly used to make ceamometal restorations. Samples of total 30 were constructed and devided into 6 groups according to two variables, sprue design and air bent. The total number of completly cast squares was counted, verified, and recorded. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The runner bar or Rousseau designs yield better castability than reservoir design(P<0.1) 2. When the air vent was attached, only the castability of reservoir design was significantly different from runner bar or Rousseau designs.

  • Almost all injection molds have multi-cavity, which are designed with geometrically balanced runner system in order to made filling balance between cavity to cavity during injection molding. However, filling imbalance has been existed in the geometrically balanced runner system. In this study, we made an experiment and investigated that are filling balanced according to material. Also, in case of filling imbalance was occurred, we conducted experiments in order to find out difference of cavity pressure with cavity pressure sensor. When filling imbalance was occurred between cavity to cavity, we investigated the filling imbalance and pressure differences by computer-aided engineering(CAE).

  • The paper presents our study of development for multi-cavity preform mold system which consists of hot runner system and valve gate. For this purpose, stretching blow molding process and preform injection process were simulated by Polyflow and Moldflow. Based on various results of the preform injection process analysis, process planning was established. The sectional thickness distribution of preform was optimized. Preform injection mold system was designed by these technical analysis data. Finally, 24-cavity preform mold system was successfully developed.

  • In the Semi-Solid Diecasters design, a Seni-Solid Diecasters experiment has usually been carried out before producing new casts. At the Semi-Solid Diecasting stages, the runner-gate part has been always repeatedly corrected, which leads to a tedious processing time and high processing cost. Much experience is essential in manual assessment and if the design is defective, much time and a great deal of efforts will be wasted in the modification of the die. In this study, a design system has been developed based on the design database In addition, a gate experiment for the gating system design has been tarried out to append the database. It is possible for engineers to make efficient gating system design of Semi-Solid Diecasting and it will result in the reduction of expenses and time to be required.

  • Recently, various developments in the area of small hydropower have being made and small hydro turbines are suitable for domestic use because it is a clean and renewable energy source. A small hydropower generator produces power by using the different water pressure levels in pipe lines and energy which was initially wasted by use of a reducing valve at the end of the pipeline is instead collected by a tubular-type hydro turbine in the generator. In this study, in order to acquire the performance of tubular-type hydro turbine applied, the output power, head, efficiency characteristics due to the different guide vane and runner vane angle are examined in detail. Moreover, influences of pressure and velocity distributions with the variation of guide vane and runner vane angle on turbine performance are investigated by using a commercial CFD code.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차 부품업체의 조립 공정에서 압입이나 볼트, 너트 체결에 주로 사용되는 프레스와 너트러너는 정밀도와 생산성 향상이 지속적으로 요구한다. 여러 대의 압입 시스템을 복합적으로 구성한 후 동기화를 통하여 일괄적인 제어를 수행하는 생산 시스템으로 시리얼 통신을 이용한 저속의 멀티 서보 프레스 시스템을 개발하였다. 그 결과로 정밀도와 생산성이 향상되었고 제품에 대한 품질향상을 이룰 수 있었다.

  • The hydraulic performances of a Francis turbine which had been designed and tested by IMHEF were calculated with a commercial code and compared with the IMHEF test results. The non-dimensional specific speed of the turbine is 0.5, the runner exit diameter 0.4m and maximum efficiency 93.1% respectively. To make the calculation of the turbine more exact, the stay vanes, the guide vane, the runner and the draft tube were calculated simultaneously. The calculation results gave a quite good agreement with the IMHEF test data, and therefore it is expected that the present calculation technique will be utilized for the hydraulic design of efficient Francis turbines.

  • This study is focused on simulation technology in injection molding process for plastic optic lenses. The CAE program, $3D-TIMON^{TM}$ is used for the injection molding simulation with O-PET resin material. The design for different gate shape and runner layout has been under review by CAE simulation results. Moreover, the prediction of birefringence and polarized light in injection molded optic lenses has been tested by the CAE Program. The simulation results have been expected to effectively use in the design of injection molding mould.
