Efficient Application of Westgard Multi-Rules and Quality Control Implementation Improvement (Westgard Multi-Rules의 효율적 적용과 조치사항의 개선)

  • Purpose Westgard multi-rules application based on test quality improvement and commercialized international standard has been widely used in quality control. However, it is difficult to applicate the Westgard multi-rules in nuclear medicine in vitro tests due to the larger sample sizes and the simultaneous measurement of quality control material and patient sample. This study investigated the usefulness of Westgard multi-rules application in nuclear medicine in vitro tests. Materials and Methods A total of 282 systematic error multi-rules (22s, 101s) recorded in the samsung medical center computer system from January 2013 to June 2016 along with 117 cases of corrective measure record was analyzed. The Quality control implementation is recorded in Hospital information system were divided into 4 high-level areas including quality control material error, experimental procedural error, Kit lot number management error, and others. To prevent quality control material error, the existing method that each staff used their own method was changed. The staff who in charge of managing the quality control material was designated and daily consumption amount of every test was strictly controlled by one person. To prevent other errors, every test step was standardized so that the entire test procedures are identically implemented. Results The total quality control implementation was 117 cases; As a result, 62 quality control material errors were 62 cases, experimental process errors were 24 cases, Kit lot number control errors were 18 cases, and other errors were 13 cases. The quality control material error was corrected and could be used fresh materials within 2 days after thawing. The cases of systemic error were decreased to causes as quality control material error. The quality control materials were reduced above 10 vials to a monthly average. In addition, these errors of experimental processing and Kit lot number were improved by test standardization. Consequently, the cases of 101s and 22s in systematic error rules decreased at least 2 cases to a monthly average. Conclusion To confirm of systematic error through multi-rules application quickly, it is necessary to base on management of the QC material, target values and standard deviation. Moreover, in the event of a systematic error, it was found important to record measures based on test cause analysis. The experiment results are expected to contribute to internal quality control improvement and prompt and accurate result reporting through error recording and causal analysis based on Westgard multi-rules analysis.

  • In this paper, we propose a Fuzzy Classifier System(FCS) makes the classifier system be able to carry out the mapping from continuous inputs to outputs. The FCS is based on the fuzzy controller system combined with machine learning. Therefore the antecedent and consequent of a classifier in FCS are the same as those of a fuzzy rule. In this paper, the FCS modifies input message to fuzzified message and stores those in the message list. The FCS constructs rule-base through matching between messages of message list and classifiers of fuzzy classifier list. The FCS verifies the effectiveness of classifiers using Bucket Brigade algorithm. Also the FCS employs the Genetic Algorithms to generate new rules and modifY rules when performance of the system needs to be improved. Then the FCS finds the set of the effective rules. We will verifY the effectiveness of the poposed FCS by applying it to Autonomous Mobile Robot avoiding the obstacle and reaching the goal.

  • Fuzzy controllers also show good performance In case of the systems being nonlinear and difficult to solve. But these fuzzy controllers have problems which have to decide suitable rules and membership functions. In general we decide those using the heuristic methods or the experience of experts. Therefore, many researchers have applied genetic algorithms to make fuzzy rule automatically.   • A robust and reliable learning and reasoning mechanism is addressed based upon fuzzy set theory and fuzzy associative memories. The mechanism stores a priori an initial knowledge base via approximate learning and utilizes this information for decision-making systems via fuzzy inferencing. We called this fuzzy computer architecture a 'fuzzy hypercube' processing all the rules in one clock period in parallel. Fuzzy hypercubes can be applied to control of a class of complex and highly nonlinear systems which suffer from vagueness uncertainty. Moreover, evidential aspects of a fuzzy hypercube are treated to assess the degree of certainty or reliability together with parameter sensitivity.

  • A new method for Chinese word segmentation named Conditional F'||'&'||'BMM (Forward and Backward Maximal Matching) which incorporates both bigram statistics (ie., mutual infonllation and difference of t-test between Chinese characters) and linguistic rules for ambiguity resolution is proposed in this paper The key characteristics of this model are the use of: (i) statistics which can be automatically derived from any raw corpus, (ii) a rule base for disambiguation with consistency and controlled size to be built up in a systematic way.

  • In this paper, we present a frequency reassignment problem (FRP) that arises when we add new base stations to resolve hot-spots or to expand the coverage of a code division multiple access (CDMA) network. For this problem, we develop an integer programming (IP) model along with some valid inequalities and preprocessing rules. Also, we develop an effective heuristic procedure that solves two sub-problems induced from the original problem in repetition. Computational results show that the proposed heuristic procedure finds a feasible solution of good quality within reasonable computation time. Also, the lower bound by-produced from the heuristic procedure is quite strong.

  • This paper describes a study on the expert system based process planning of the block division process in shipbuilding. The prototype system developed deterines the block division line of the midship of crude-oil tanker. Case-based reasoning (CBR) approach relying on previous similar cases to solve the problem is applied instead of rule-based reasoning (RBR). Similar cases are retrieved from case base according to the similarity metrics between input problem and cases. The retrieved case with the highest priority is then adapted to fit to the input problem buy adaptation rules. The adapted solution is proposed as the division line for the input problem.

  • In this paper, a new PID fuzzy controller(FC) is presented. The linguistic control rules of PID FC is separated into two parts : one is e-.DELTA.e part, and the other is .DELTA.$^{2}$e - .DELTA.e part. And then two FCs employing these rule base individually are synthesized. The control input to the process is decided by taking weighted mean of the outputs of two FCs. The proposed PID FC improve the transient response of the system and gives better performance than the conventional PI FC.
