This study examined mothers' ratings of everyday rules for their young children. Participants were 294 mothers of 2- to 5-year-old children attending kindergartens and nursery schools in Korea. Data were collected by questionnaire and were analyzed by $x^2$. Results indicated that the majority of mothers' rules for their children pertained to safety, interpersonal issues, and as children got older, social conventions. Mothers endorsed prudential justifications for safety and self-care, moral justifications for interpersonal rules, practical and moral justifications for safeguarding property, and conventional justifications for obedience/order and food/mealtime routines. Analyses of mothers' judgments of rule independence indicated that rules on interpersonal and safety issues were to be kept without exception.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are ~22nt-long single-stranded RNA molecules that form a RNA-induced silencing complex with Argonaute (AGO) protein to post-transcriptionally downregulate their target messenger RNAs (mRNAs). To understand the regulatory mechanisms of miRNA, discovering the underlying functional rules for how miRNAs recognize and repress their target mRNAs is of utmost importance. To determine functional miRNA targeting rules, previous studies extensively utilized various methods including high-throughput biochemical assays and bioinformatics analyses. However, targeting rules reported in one study often fail to be reproduced in other studies and therefore the general rules for functional miRNA targeting remain elusive. In this review, we evaluate previously-reported miRNA targeting rules and discuss the biological impact of the functional miRNAs on gene-regulatory networks as well as the future direction of miRNA targeting research.

It is well-known that default rules require a nonmonotonic logic. Veltman proposed one dynamic theory which interprets default rules in such a way that correct inferences can be made at each information state. But his theory has some problems. First, this theory excludes the possibility that a default rule can be true of false. Second, his representation of an information state makes it difficult to interpret a default rule embedded in another sentence. Third, the notion of a frame which is introduced in the interpretation of a default rule and the adjustment of inferential expectation has a more complex structure than is necessary, In this paper, I propose a truth-conditional theory of default rules in which the meaning of a default rule is defined as a truth-condition in a possible world and which assumes a simpler structure of a frame. This makes it possible to interpret a default rule embedded in a sentence. A dynamic theory for default rules is also proposed for correct inferences based on default rules.

This study tries to analyze the problems of rules for cataloging currently used n Korea such as KCR 3rd ed., KORMARC Description Rules, and KORMARC format, and to propose the methods solving the non-standardization of Korean cataloging records as follows: 1) No-main heading principles should be established so as to be applied to MARC format. 2) Description rules of cataloging currently used in Korea should be coordinated in accordance with MARC system and principles of bibliographical description. 3) Description rules of cataloging currently used in Korea should be coordinated in accordance with MARC system and principles of bibliographical description. 4) Unifying the format for CRT screen to display online catalog records are needed. 5) Conventional cataloging rules and MARC format should be coordinated.

In Korean Power Market, Cost-based Bidding Pool is maintaining the present condition because restructuring of electricity industry is holding. When this market is designed, Settlement rules for Pumped-storage power plant made unfairly by other power plants. These rules were considered contribution of Pumped-storage power plant to network operation. by the way, there are some discussion about Settlement rules modification. so in this paper, we calculated financial effect of power plant by modified rules. And when we modify market rules, we can offer numerical information.

In this paper we analyzed each region of specific points and ｅ-Δｅphase plane in order to make fuzzy rule base. After we composed the fuzzy control rules which can decrease rise time, delay time, maximum overshoot than basic fuzzy control rules. The composed method are converged more rapidly than single rule base in convergence region. Proposed method is alternately use at specific points of ｅ-Δｅphase plane with two fuzzy control rules, that is one control rule occruing the steady state error used in transient region and another fuzzy control rule use to decrease the steady state error and rapidly converge at the convergence region. Two fuzzy control rules in the ｅ-Δｅ phase plane decide the change time according to response characteristics of plants. As the results of simulation through the second order plant and the delay time plan, Proposed dual fuzzy control rules get the good response compare with the basic fuzzy control rule.

One of the hardest problems that limit real application of production system is its slowness. One way to overcome this problem is to speed up the matching operation which occupies more than 90% of the total execution time. In this paper, we try to speed up the matching operation with parallel execution of a typical pattern matching algorithm, RETE, in a multiprocessor environment, This requires not only to make partitions of the rules but also to allocate the partitioned rules to processors, respectively. A partition strategy is proposed to make groups of similar rules by evaluating the similarity of rules according to the number of common conditions between rules. An allocation strategy is proposed to make the load of each processor even by assigning the different priority to the group of rules according to the expected amount of time required for matching operation. To compare with the existing methods, we perform simulation using OPS5 sample programs. The simulation results show that the proposed methods can improve the performance of production system.

There is a growing interest in resolving intellectual property rights disputes through arbitration rather than in state courts. The internationalization of commercial relations, one of the most significant drivers of the growth of international arbitration in general, encompasses intellectual property relationships as well. In 2014, the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center revised its arbitration rules. The revision is part of a wave of recent updates of institutional arbitral rules. After briefly introducing the WIPO Center as an arbitral institution, this article assesses the features of the WIPO Rules that make them suitable for the particular challenges of IP-related disputes. A second part reviews the salient new aspects of the WIPO Rules from a comparative perspective.

This study compares the cycle times of handling operations of yard cranes under different sequencing rules. An operation cycle was divided into several elementary movements and formulas for the expectation and the variance of each elementary movement were analytically derived. The expected waiting time of trucks was estimated based on the given arrival rate of trucks. The previous studies focused on developing a method to make an efficient schedule of operations for yard cranes. This paper introduces several sequencing rules, such as first-come-first-served, unidirectional travel, and Z pick travel rules. In addition, a formula for estimating the cycle times of yard cranes under each sequencing rule is derived, and the performance under the different sequencing rules are compared with each other.
