지연 스케쥴을 허용하는 납기최소화 잡샵 스케쥴링 알고리즘 (Dispatching Rule based Job-Shop Scheduling Algorithm with Delay Schedule for Minimizing Total Tardiness)

  • This study focuses on a job-shop scheduling problem with the objective of minimizing total tardiness for the job orders that have different due dates and different process flows. We suggest the dispatching rule based scheduling algorithm to generate fast and efficient schedule. First, we show the delay schedule can be optimal for total tardiness measure in some cases. Based on this observation, we expand search space for selecting the job operation to explore the delay schedules. That means, not only all job operations waiting for process but also job operations not arrived at the machine yet are considered to be scheduled when a machine is available and it is need decision for the next operation to be processed. Assuming each job operation is assigned to the available machine, the expected total tardiness is estimated, and the job operation with the minimum expected total tardiness is selected to be processed in the machine. If this job is being processed in the other machine, then machine should wait until the job arrives at the machine. Simulation experiments are carried out to test the suggested algorithm and compare with the results of other well-known dispatching rules such as EDD, ATC and COVERT, etc. Results show that the proposed algorithm, MET, works better in terms of total tardiness of orders than existing rules without increasing the number of tardy jobs.

  • This paper considers a scheduling problem for a hybrid flowshop with dynamic order arrival. A hybrid flowshop is an extended form of a flowshop, which has serial stages like a flowshop but there can be more than one machine at each stage. In this paper, we propose a new method for the problem of scheduling with the objective of minimizing mean tardiness of orders which arrive at the shop dynamically. The proposed method is based on the list scheduling approach, however we use a more sophisticated method to prioritize lots unlike dispatching rule-based methods. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, a simulation model of a hybrid flowshop-type production system is constructed. We implement well-known dispatching rules and the proposed methods in the simulation model. From a series of simulation tests, we show that the proposed methods perform better than other methods.

  • The main subject to become a hub port is automation. The automated container terminal has already operated in advanced ports and it has been planned for the basic planning and operation design in domestic case. The key of automated container terminal is effective operation of both ATC(automated transfer crane) and AGV(automated guided vehicle) which is automated handling equipments. This is essential to productivity of automated container terminal. This study suggests the most optimal method of equipment operation in order to minimize loading time using each three types of effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in automated container terminals. As the automated equipment operation causes unexpected deadlocks or interferences, it should be proceeded on event-based real time. Therefore we propose the most effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in this paper. The various states occurred in real automated container terminals are simulated to evaluate these methods. This experiment will show the most robust automated equipment operation method on various parameters(the degree of yard re-marshaling, the number of containers and AGV)

자동창고 시스템의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 연구 (A Computer Simulation Study of an Automated Storage and Retrieval System)

  • One of the most important and powerful tools available for design and/or study of the operation of complex systems and processes is simulation. Since automated material handling systems like AS/RS are often quite complex, a network-based simulation model is developed to analyze an automobile part supplier's automated storage and retrieval system(AS/RS). The network simulation model is implemented in the SLAM Ⅱ on a VAX 8800 computer. Performance of the AS/RS was tested for 3 dispatching rules, 3 work load levels, 2 storage policies, 3 levels of stacker crane break-down, and 2 conveyor system layouts. Results indicate that the AS/RS performance is primarily affected by the dispatching rule and work load level.

  • In this paper, based on the process analysis of a semiconductor company, a lot order release procedure (input regulation) is developed for a semiconductor company. The major characteristic of the order release procedure in this paper is to consider the workloads of machines which are obtained from a virtual lot flows by the dispatching rule at machines in the shop of the semiconductor company. The objective is to minimize the cycle time and to obtain other good performances. A simulation is performed in order to evaluate the order release procedure in this paper.

  • We consider a Direct Input Output Manufacturing System(DIOMS) which has a munber of machine centers placed along a built-in Automated Storage/Retrieval System(AS/RS). The Storage/Retrieval (S/R) machine handles parts placed on pallets for the machine centers located at either one or both sides of the As/Rs. This report studies the operational aspect of DIOMS and determines the optimal operating policy by combining computer simulation and genetic algorithm. The operational problem includes: input sequencing control, dispatching rule of the S/R machine, machine center-based part type selection rule, and storage assignment policy. For each operating policy, several different policies are considered based on the known research results. In this report, using the computer simulation and genetic algorithm we suggest a method which gives the optimal configuration of operating policies within reasonable computation time.

  • A unit-load automated guided vehicle system is considered in which a single vehicle is operated on a unidirectional path in a closed loop. The vehicle serves a manufacturing cell moving pallets from one station to another based on the "First-Encountered-First-Serve" dispatching rule. An approximation method is developed to compute the mean waiting time of an arbitrary pallet at each station. Extensive numerical experiments, performed for various problems, yield fairly good results in most of the cases compared with those obtained by simulation method.

  • 능동 위상 배열 레이더(AESA Radar: Active Electronically Scanned Array radar)는 전자적으로 빔을 조향함으로써 빔 조향 시간이 비약적으로 빨라져 기존의 기계식 빔 조향 레이더에 비해 레이더에서 수행할 수 있는 다중 임무 처리 능력이 크게 향상되었다. 이러한 이유로 레이더에 주어진 시간, 에너지, 처리 능력 등의 한정된 자원을 실시간으로 효율적으로 관리, 운용할 수 있는 레이더 자원 관리 기술의 중요성이 크게 대두되었다. 그 중 레이더 빔 스케줄링 기술은 레이더 자원 관리의 핵심적인 요소라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 simulated annealing을 이용한 추계적 레이더 빔 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안하고, 이를 기존의 dispatching rule에 기반한 빔 스케줄링 기법과 비교하였다. 빔 처리 지연도(latency)와 주어진 시간 내에서 처리할 수 있는 빔의 개수 측면에서 스케줄링 결과를 비교하여 성능의 우월성을 입증하였으며, 또한 실시간성을 보장하면서도 기존의 규칙 기반 알고리즘보다 성능이 우수함을 보였다.

  • In this paper, a method to determine the optimal configuration of operating policies in an integrated-automated manufacturing system using the Taguchi method and computer simulation experiments is presented. An integrated-automated manufacturing system called direct-input-output manufacturing system(DIOMS) is described. We only consider the operational aspect of the DIOMS. Four operating policies including input sequencing control, dispatching rule for the storage/retrieval(S/R) machine, machine center-based part type selection rule, and storage assignment policy are treated as design factors. The number of machine centers, the number of part types, demand rate, processing time and the rate of each part type, vertical and horizontal speed of the S/R machine, and the size of a local buffer in the machine centers are considered as noise factors in generating various manufacturing system environment. For the performance characteristics, mean flow time and throughput are adopted. A robust design experiment with inner and outer orthogonal arrays are conducted by computer simulation, and an optimal configuration of operating policies is presented which consists of a combination of the level of each design factor. The validity of the optimal configurations is investigated by comparing their signal-to-noise ratios with those obtained with full factorial designs.
