One of the most famous proactive routing protocols, DSDV (Destination -Sequenced Distance-Vector), is based on the minimum hop count. This paper suggests BIMP(Bypass Information Multi-Path) DSDV routing protocol that this protocol could route reliably as it can take the information of the bypass for the solution of the problem on EHMP DSDV. In this paper, the protocol checks throughput, packet delivery delay, packet delivery ratio, number of management messages, packet transmit finish time, etc on the traffic compared to DSDV, HMP DSDV, and EHMP DSDV protocols.

The ad hoc network was composed of Mobile hosts. Due to the limited transmission range of each mobile node hosts, in such an environment, it is essential for other hosts to coorperate to transfer packet to destination. Moreover, the existing routing protocol algorithms are not efficient on the ad hoc network because a mobile host operates router without fixed router. In this paper, we will compare and analysis for the performance of existing ad hoc network routing protocols through simulation.
This paper describes the contents about the efficient routing technique for improvement of transmission in Wireless Sensor Networks. Existing flat-based routing protocols have several problems like data overlap and implosion. Gossiping Algorithm in WSN is able to reduce the overhead and transmit packets through already set up the path but it takes place the data delivery and problem of worst-case. In this paper, we try to solve two problems that are data delivery and worst-case by selecting neighbor nodes using RSSI and number of linkage. The proposed model is available to real-mote and we confirmed the improvement of the performance against existing models.

Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) can be defined as a communication network consisting of radio nodes organized in a mesh topology, which has been attracting much attention due to its promising technology. This paper addressed the factors on how to design routing protocols for WMN. 2 examples of designing routing metric and routing algorithm are given for case study. With consideration of those factors such as wireless broadcast advantage (WBA)/channel assignment (CA) or intra-flow/inter-flow interference high throughput is achieved.

A Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of moving nodes that communicate and collaborate without relying on a pre-existing infrastructure. In this type of network, nodes can freely move in any direction. Routing in this sort of network has always been problematic because of the mobility of nodes. Most existing protocols use simple routing algorithms and criteria, while another important criterion is path selection. The existing protocols should be optimized to resolve these deficiencies. 'Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)' is an influenced method as it resembles the social behavior of a flock of birds. Genetic algorithms (GA) are search algorithms that use natural selection and genetic principles. This paper applies these optimization models to the OLSR routing protocol and compares their performances across different metrics and varying node sizes. The experimental analysis shows that the Genetic Algorithm is better compared to PSO. The comparison was carried out with the help of the simulation tool NS2, NAM (Network Animator), and xgraph, which was used to create the graphs from the trace files.

Routing protocol in ad hoc mobile networking has been an active research area in recent years. However, the environments of ad hoc network tend to have vulnerable points from attacks, because ad hoc mobile network is a kind of wireless network without centralized authentication or fixed network infrastructure such as base stations. Also, existing routing protocols that are effective in a wired network become inapplicable in ad hoc mobile networks. To address these issues, several secure routing protocols have been proposed: SAODV and SRPTES. Even though our protocols are intensified security of networks than existing protocols, they can not deal fluidly with frequent changing of wireless environment. Moreover, demerits in energy efficiency are detected because they concentrated only safety routing. In this paper, we propose an energy efficient secure routing protocol for various ad hoc mobile environment. First of all, we provide that the nodes distribute security information to reliable nodes for secure routing. The nodes constitute tree-structured with around nodes for token escrow, this action will protect invasion of malicious node through hiding security information. Next, we propose multi-path routing based security level for protection from dropping attack of malicious node, then networks will prevent data from unexpected packet loss. As a result, this algorithm enhances packet delivery ratio in network environment which has some malicious nodes, and a life time of entire network is extended through consuming energy evenly.

With the prevalence of multimedia applications and the potential commercial usage of Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) in group communications, Quality of Service (QoS) support became a key requirement. Recently, some researchers studied QoS multicast issues in MANETs. Most of the existing QoS multicast routing protocols are designed with flat topology and small networks in mind. In this paper, we investigate the scalability problem of these routing protocols. In particular, a Position-Based QoS Multicast Routing Protocol (PBQMRP) has been developed. PBQMRP builds a source multicast tree guided by the geographic information of the mobile nodes, which helps in achieving more efficient multicast delivery. This protocol depends on the location information of the multicast members which is obtained using a location service algorithm. A virtual backbone structure has been proposed to perform this location service with minimum overhead and this structure is utilized to provide efficient packet transmissions in a dynamic mobile Ad hoc network environment. The performance of PBQMRP is evaluated by performing both quantitative analysis and extensive simulations. The results show that the used virtual clustering is very useful in improving scalability and outperforms other clustering schemes. Compared to On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (ODMRP), PBQMRP achieves competing packet delivery ratio and significantly lower control overhead.
Geographic routing has been considered as an attractive approach in wireless sensor networks, since it routes data packets by using location information rather than global topology information. In geographic routing schemes, packets are usually sent along the boundary of a hole by face routing to detour the hole. As result, all data flows which need to detour the hole are concentrated on the boundary of the hole. This hole detour scheme results in much more energy consumption for nodes at the hole boundary, and the energy exhaustion of hole boundary nodes enlarges the holes. This is referred to as a hole diffusion problem. The perimeter mode may also lead to data collisions on the hole boundary nodes if multiple data flows need to bypass a hole simultaneously. In this paper, we propose a hole modeling and detour scheme for geographic routing in wire-less sensor networks. Our hole modeling and detour scheme can efficiently prevent hole diffusion, avoid the local minimum problem faced by geographic routing protocols, and reduce data collisions on the hole boundary nodes. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is superior to the other protocols in terms of control overhead, average delivery delay and energy consumption.

WMN is considered as a core methodology to provide mobile wireless network service with multi-hop routing feature. It has a merit that can be easily deployed by utilization of protocols for MANET. However, it has differences in supporting multiple networks and channels, network architecture, and so on. Especially, in case of routing protocols, to apply them intactly to WMN can be a cause of low performance because of do not moving mesh routers. AODV seems like suitable for WMN among the various routing protocols for MANET. However, it has a defect in scalability. In this paper, an enhanced AODV routing method for WMN was proposed. The proposed method was designed to be suitable to the architecture of WMN by use of layering and localizing the broadcasting domain.
In mobile ad hoc networks the most popular on demand routing protocols are the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol and the Ad hoc On demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol. These and other representative standard routing protocols are designed to find and maintain only a single path. Whenever there is a link break on the active route, source node has to invoke a route discovery process from the beginning and it causes a lot of overhead. Multipath routing protocols, which can alleviate these problems by establishing multiple alternative paths between a source and a destination, are widely studied. In this paper we propose a node disjoint multipath discovery technique based on AODV local route discovery. This technique can find and build completely separated node disjoint multi paths from a source to a destination as many as possible. It will make routing more robust and stable.
