Energy-efficient routing protocol is an important task in a wireless sensor network that is used for monitoring and control by wirelessly collecting information obtained from sensor nodes deployed in various environments. Various routing techniques have been studied for this, but it is also necessary to consider WSN environments with specific situations and conditions. In particular, due to topographical characteristics or specific obstacles, a hole where sensor nodes are not deployed may exist in most WSN environments, which may result in inefficient routing or routing failures. In this case, the geographical routing-based hall bypass routing method using GPS functions will form the most efficient path, but sensors with GPS functions have the disadvantage of being expensive and consuming energy. Therefore, we would like to find the boundary node of the hole in a WSN environment with holes through minimal sensor function and propose hole bypass routing through boundary line formation.

Recently, in order to improve the energy efficiency of WSN(Wireless Sensor Network), widely research have teen carried on. But, up to the present, Majority of methods are based on direct communication between CH(cluster head) and sink node, and based on the assumption that node can regulate signal energy actively according to the distance between nodes. So it's hard to implement those methods. Based on the theory that node has fixed radio wave radius, this paper present a multi leveling routing protocol. According to the simulation of the presented protocol, we have proved the energy saving efficiency and the implementation in real WSN.
Load balancing is a significant technique to prolong a network's lifetime in sensor network. This paper introduces a hybrid approach named as Load Distributing Hybrid Routing Protocol (LDHRP) composed with a border node routing protocol (BDRP) and greedy forwarding (GF) strategy which will make the routing effective, especially in mobility scenarios. In an existing solution, because of the high network complexity, the data delivery latency increases. To overcome this limitation, a new approach is proposed in which the source node transmits the data to its respective destination via border nodes or greedily until the complete data is transmitted. In this way, the whole load of a network is evenly distributed among the participating nodes. However, border node is mainly responsible in aggregating data from the source and further forwards it to mobile sink; so there will be fewer chances of energy expenditure in the network. In addition to this, number of hop counts while transmitting the data will be reduced as compared to the existing solutions HRLBP and ZRP. From the simulation results, we conclude that proposed approach outperforms well than existing solutions in terms including end-to-end delay, packet loss rate and so on and thus guarantees enhancement in lifetime.

The sensor network technology for core technology of ubiquitous computing is in the spotlight recently, the research on sensor network is proceeding actively which is composed many different sensor node. The major traffic patterns of plenty of sensor networks are composed of collecting types of single directional data, which is transmitting packets from several sensor nodes to sink node. One of the important condition for design of sensor node is to extend for network life which is to minimize power-consumption under the limited resources of sensor network. In this work, we analysis adapted routing protocols using the network simulation that was used exiting network and network provider needs will be able to solve the problem.
The efficient node-energy utilization in wireless sensor networks has been studied because sensor nodes operate with limited power based on battery. To extend the lifetime of the wireless sensor networks, maintaining balanced power consumption between sensor nodes is more important than reducing total energy consumption of the overall network. Since a large number of sensor nodes are densely deployed and collect data by cooperation in wireless sensor network, keeping more sensor nodes alive as possible is important to extend the lifetime of the sensor network. In this paper, we submit an efficient energy aware routing protocol based on AODV ad hoc routing protocol for wireless sensor networks to increase its lifetime without degrading network performance. The proposed protocol is designed to avoid traffic congestion on minor specific nodes at data transfer and to make the node power consumption be widely distributed to increase the lifetime of the network. The performance of the proposed protocol has been examined and evaluated with the NS-2 simulator in terms of network lifetime and end-to-end delay.

Multipath routing technique is recognized as one of the effective approaches to improve the reliability of data forwarding. However, the traditional multipath routing focuses only on how many paths are needed to ensure a desired reliability. For this purpose, the protocols construct additional paths and thus cause significant energy consumption. These problems have motivated the study for the energy-efficient and reliable data forwarding. Thus, this paper proposes an energy-efficient concurrent multipath routing protocol with a small number of paths based on interaction between paths. The interaction between paths helps to reinforce the multipath reliability by making efficient use of resources. The protocol selects several nodes located in the radio overlapped area between a pair of paths as bridge nodes for the path-interaction. In order to operate the bridge node efficiently, when the transmission failure has detected by overhearing at each path, it performs recovery transmission to recover the path failure. Simulation results show that proposed protocol is superior to the existing multipath protocols in terms of energy consumption and delivery reliability.

Recently, Study for routing protocol is gone vigorously in the Ubiquitous Sensor Network. A hierarchical routing protocol is being practical and received interest among them. Therefore we analyze a weak point of HEED. And I suggest the new protocol that solved a weak point of HEED. The new protocol that we propose puts weight in the energy remainder amount than HEED and elect CH. And elected CH is designed to change by new node when quantity of energy leftover becomes less than 50%. Therefore all nodes come to use energy fairly. The protocol that we proposed can prove the cluster survival rate about 30%. And CH is more effective because when elect CH replace, response time selects small node.

The PEGASIS protocol is more effective about energy consumption more than LEACH in USN environment. However, PEGASIS is weakness enemy in change of sensor network net composition because It changes BS node frequently. Therefore, we propose new routing protocol that use Sub-Cluster Chaining to solve this problem in this paper. It can reduce overhead that happen in election of middle node doing so and reduce energy consumption. Also, It can supplement limitation that PEGASIS has. This is treatise shows that new protocol that propose than existent PEGASIS through simulation is superior.

Sensor nodes depend on batteries for energy source in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) is a representative cluster-based routing protocol designed to ensure energy use efficiency whereas the virtual cluster exchange routing (VCR) information only with its closest node to build a network. In this paper, a protocol scheme was proposed wherein member nodes are designed to compare the currently sensed data with the previously sensed one and to switch to sleep mode when a match is achieved. The design is to help improve the transmission energy efficiency too.
Energy efficiency, low latency and scalability for wireless sensor networks are important requirements, especially, the wireless sensor network consist of a large number of sensor nodes should be minimized energy consumption of each node to extend network lifetime with limited battery power. An efficient algorithm and energy management technology for minimizing the energy consumption at each sensor node is also required to improve transfer rate. Thus, this paper propose no-overlap multi-pass protocol provides for sensor data transmission in the wireless sensor network environment. The proposed scheme should minimize network overhead through reduced a sensor data translation use to searched multi-path and added the multi-path in routing table. Proposed routing protocol may minimize the energy consumption at each node, thus prolong the lifetime of the sensor network regardless of where the sink node is located outside or inside the received signal strength range. To verify propriety proposed scheme constructs sensor networks adapt to current model using the real data and evaluate consumption of total energy.
