원형전극봉에 의한 형조방전가공시 진원도 특성 (Characteristics of Roundness Using Die-sinking Electrical Discharge Machining by Circular Electrode)

  • The experimental study of die-sinking electrical discharge machining for alloy tool steel of STD-11 with circular electrode was conducted for various conditions of the peak current and duty factor with the change of internal size of electrode for distributing the amount of dielectric flow through the electrode. From this study, the material removal rate(MRR) was found to be increased with the peak current and duty factor. The more MRR was obtained for the case of electrode inside diameter of 10mm. The surface roughness and roundness values were analyzed regularity under various conditions, and these values were not affected by the inside diameter change of electrode.

  • This paper was undertaken to analyze the morphology of wear debris on operating condition of lubricated machine surfaces. The lubricating wear test was carried out under different experimental conditions using the wear test device was made in our laboritory and wear testing spcimen of the pin on disk type was rubbed in paraffine series base oil, by varying specimen, applied load, sliding distance. The four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) to describe morphology of wear debris have been developed and are outlined in the paper. A system using such techniques promises to obviate the need for subjective, human interpretation of particle morphology for machine condition monitoring.

  • In this study, it was aimed to find the optimal cutting conditions by measuring and analyzing the dimensional accuracy of SNCM 616 alloy steel, which is commonly used in industry, by precision hole machining using Ø25 mm and 8-blade reamer in CNC-HBM to be. As a result of the roundness and dimensional accuracy, it was found that the spindle speed had a significant effect on the dimensional tolerance value. Optimum cutting conditions are spindle speed 25 rpm and feed rate 20 mm / min.

기계시각을 이용한 홍고추의 기하학적 및 물리적 특성 분석 (Analysis of Geometrical and Physical PRoperties of Red Pepper by Machine Vision)

  • The geometrical and physical properties of red peppers were studied for proper design of a red pepper processor. Mass, volume, roundness and compactness of red peppers were calculated from digital images. They were compared with real data and the relations of them were suggested. Roundness of red peppers was ranged from 0.2 to 0.5 and the average value was 0.349. Compactness of red peppers was ranged from 25 to 50 and the average value was 37.1. The regression equations to calculate the volume and mass of red pepper were obtained as y$\_$v/$\_$=/0.553$\varkappa$$_1$+1.441$\varkappa$$_2$-1.013$\varkappa$$_3$(R=0.95) and y$\_$m/=0.252$\varkappa$$_1$+0.938$\varkappa$$_2$-0.499$\varkappa$$_3$-1.5112 (R=0.93), y$\_$v/:volume(㎤), y$\_$m/:mass(g), $\varkappa$$_1$: perimeter(cm), $\varkappa$$_2$: area(㎠), $\varkappa$$_3$: length of major axis(cm), respectively. The direction for aligning the red pepper in a machine processing was easily and perfectly recognized. The response time for digital image processing has to be reduced for more efficient operation. HSI and YIQ values could be useful for recognizing the red pepper from background.

DC 모터 소음 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Noise Reduction of a DC Motor)

  • The DC Motor in a vehicle may cause noise and vibration because of high speed revolution, which can make a driver feel uncomfortable. There have been various studies attempting to solve these problems, focusing mostly on the causes of and ways to reduce noise and vibration. It is suggested that the noise in a DC Motor may be primarily due to interaction between a brush and a commutator. Brush noise, the most common noise in a DC Motor, results from a brush bounced from the surface of the commutator, fluctuation of the friction between the brush and the commutator, and the impact on the brush when passing over slots of the commutator. Based on the noise test, one of the most important design parameters was shown to be the roundness of the commutator. As the DC motor is used, the roundness of the commutator gets bigger with subsequent increase of the level of brush noise and vibration. There must be a threshold in order to prevent the brush noise from getting worse. Using the method of CAE is more efficient than the real test for purposes of looking for various design parameters to maintain the roundness of the commutator. In this study, the design process to reduce the brush noise is presented with the use of a computer model. The design parameters to reduce the brush noise and vibration are proposed by using FEM. The design parameters are used to reduce the noise and vibration of a DC motor and it is verified with the test results on a fan DC motor in a vehicle. This method may be applicable to various DC motors.

  • 다양한 소비자의 요구에 따라 가공된 제품을 좀더 신속하고 정확하게 측정할 수 있는 공작기계 내 자동계측장치를 적용하는 사례가 급격히 증가하고 있다. 자동 계측으로 가장 많이 활용되는 접촉식 측정 프로브는 주로 공작물의 가공 원점을 설정하고, 정확한 치수 검사를 통한 불량유무 판정 및 보상가공에 많이 활용된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기기상 자동계측장치인 접촉식 측정 프로브를 활용하여 가공된 형상을 신속하고 정확하게 측정하는 방법을 연구하였으며 이를 위하여 가장 많이 활용되는 홀 측정 사이클에 대한 매크로 프로그램을 개발하였다. 또한 측정 시 홀의 진원도 오차에 따라 발생할 수 있는 편심량을 시뮬레이션하여 분석하였으며 본 연구의 신뢰성을 높이기 위하여 기기상에서 개발된 홀 측정 매크로 프로그램을 이용하여 홀플레이트에 대한 측정이 이루어졌으며, 진원도 오차에 따른 편심량을 검증하였다.
