다축제어를 이용한 모듈형 조향장치 하우징의 레이저용접에 관한 연구 (Study on Laser Welding of Automotive Modular Steering Gear Housing by using Multi-Axis Control)

  • Recently, automobile parts progress with modularization, which a great many allied products are modularized. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develope modular housing for modularization of steering gear. Generally, steering gear housing is composed of valve housing and rack housing, it is important to combine two housings. However, housing having the pipe shape is very sensitive to welding distortion, and welding trajectory is very complicated. In order to solve this subject, cooperative control by using robots was constructed. Further, we developed the dedicated system to suit modular housing based on it, and applied laser welding to there. Moreover, welding speed was controlled in the rapid curve section so that the defect in trajectory of housing was reduced to obtain sound weldment. Accordingly, produced housing by this way is presented enough withstanding pressure to $100kg/cm^2$, and roundness and straightness are measured about 10/100 and 0.9/100 respectively.

동양 전통 먹(墨)의 이화학적 성상 비교 분석 (Characterization and Comparison of Oriental Ink Sticks)

  • The writing brush, ink stick, paper, and ink stone were the four precious things of the studying and recording in oriental world until even nowaday. The oriental paper was comparatively well evaluated in many papers and reviews, but it is difficult to find some scientific reports or reviews about the ink stick. In this paper, the scientific aspect of ink sticks of oriental maine three country(Korea, China, Japan) were evaluated by the physical, chemical and microscopic analysis. The result could summarized as fellows; 1. The Korean lampblack ink stick contains more carbon and less nitrogen and the Chinese ink sticks contain less carbon and more oxygen. 2. The Korean lampblack and cowhide glue contain relatively higher amount of sulphur. 3. The particle size distribution of carbon in the ink stick was not change after grinding in the ink stone. 4. The particle size of carbon and the pore size in the charcoal ink sticks of three country were larger than those of the lampblack ink sticks. 5. The ink solution of the charcoal ink sticks shows high roundness on Hanji while the ink solution of the lampblack ink sticks is spread readily to Hanji surface. 6. The change of whiteness in printing of the ink sticks is notable in thermal treatment.

치근단낭과 육아종의 디지털방사선학적 비교연구 (Comparison of Digital Radiometric Features between Radicular Cysts and Periapical Granulomas)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether a radiometric analysis of radicular cysts and periapical granulomas is useful in the differential diagnosis. In this experiment, twenty-nine periapical radiographs of the radicular cyst and those periapical granuloma were used. The periapical radiography was taken by intraoral paralleling device. The X-ray film was digitized and digitally filtered to reduce film-grain noise. We estimated density difference of the inner/outer area, roundness or circularity, bone profile or scan line of the margin and cumulative percentage frequency curve of radicular cyst & periapical granuloma. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The differences in density between ROIs of inner and outer area of radicular cysts were smaller than those of periapical granulomas. 2. The equivalent circular diameter was over 6.3mm, there was significant difference between periapical cyst and periapical granuloma. 3. In differential diagnosis of radicular cyst and periapical granuloma using bone profile. sensitivity. specificity and accuracy were considerably high(0.83. 0.86. 0.86) respectively. 4. Cumulative percentage frequency curve of the radicular cyst was closer to the pseudo-pixel value of 50 than average curve, whereas periapical granuloma was closer to that of 0. Hence we conclude that digital radiometric features might be useful in the differential diagnosis between radicular cyst and periapical granuloma.

터보펌프 터빈 블레이드 형상 요소의 구조적 영향 (Structural Effects of Geometric Parameters on Liquid Rocket Turbopump Turbine Blades)

  • 본 연구에서는 터보펌프 터빈 블레이드 형상을 구성하고 있는 요소들 중 슈라우드와 필릿, 그리고 블레이드 모서리 둥글기가 블레이드의 응력에 미치는 구조적인 영향을 조사하였다. 슈라우드는 터빈의 공력적 효율을 높이기 위하여 흔히 삽입되는 링 형상의 테두리이며, 모든 블레이드와 연결되어 있어 블레이드의 변형을 구속하는 역할을 한다. 한편 블레이드와 허브면, 그리고 블레이드와 슈라우드면 사이의 모서리에는 보통 응력 완화를 위하여 적정 반지름을 가진 필릿이 삽입되고 블레이드 모서리에는 적절한 둥글기가 삽입되는데, 본 연구에서는 슈라우드의 두께와 필릿, 그리고 모서리 둥글기의 반지름 변화에 따른 블레이드 최대 응력을 조사하여 이들 형상 요소가 터보펌프 블레이드의 안전성에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다.

정밀 공작기계의 회전 영역별 진동 및 불평형량 감소에 따른 가공 정밀도 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Machining Accuracy according to Vibration and Unbalance Decrease in Rotational Speed Domains of High Precision Machine Tools)

  • Precision machine tools for high dignity cutting are needed for efforts to improve machining accuracy. However, there are many factors to improve machining accuracy. This study investigated how machining accuracy changes when variation and unbalance amount in rotational speed domain is decreased. Machining accuracy of initial machine tools depends on manufacturing and assembly of parts such as bearing. And then, vibration and noise vary with volume of unbalance amount when it is rotation, so it effects unbalance amount. Also vibration and noise increased by unbalance shorten spindle's life and it especially makes worse boring accuracy. Therefore, this study studied the change of roundness and cylindricity of workpiece when it decreases variation and unbalance in rotational speed domain.

내면연삭(內面硏削)의 가공능률향상(加工能率向上)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Internal Grinding to Improving the Grinding Efficiency)

  • This paper describes on the establishment of an optimal internal grinding conditions for the purpose of improving the grinding efficiency against to the high-speed grinding. Through the fundamental grinding tests for the brittle and hardened material, we are concluded that high-speed internal grinding is effective to improve the grinding accuracy as well as the grinding efficiency. The obtained results are as follows: (1) Under the speed ratio $(V_w/V_g)$ is constant, it is possible to increase the grinding efficiency with satifying the constraint conditions. (2) Increasing the wheel velocity, surface roughness and out-roundness are improved. (3) Under the wheel depth of cut is constant and increasing the speed ratio, workpiece residual stress is decreased. The described method, in this paper, is capable of determining the optimum internal grinding conditions taking into account some constraint conditions, and practical algorithm for optimum internal grinding conditions are presented.

BTA드릴에 의한 SM55C의 심공가공시 최적절삭조건과 공구수명에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimum Cutting Conditions and Tool Life in Deep Hole Drilling for SM55C by BTA Drill)

  • The deep hole drilling has an increasing demands because of its wide range applications and its good productivity. The BTA drills are capable of machining for having a large length to diameter ratio in single pass to higher degree of accuracy and surface finish. It's really necessary that the investigation for the deep hole drilling by the BTA drill because its required quality should be satisfied with single pass. This thesis deal with the experimental results obtained during single tube BTA system machining on SM55C steel for different machining conditions. The results of the investigation on the optimum cutting condition selecting and tool life reveals as follows. (1) The optimum cutting condition was cutting speed, V = 42 m/min and feed speed. F = 90 mm/min and the tool life was about 10 meters. (2) Surface roughness was $12\mum$ and the roundness was less using $16mum$single edge BTA drill in testing cutting condition.

  • Ball bearings which were fitted between housing and shaft play an important role in rotating shaft system smoothly, Therefore bearing's running accuracy has significant influence on that of rotating machinery. Manufacturing accuracy of bearings as well as that of shaft and housing is main factor to affect bearing running accuracy In this paper, bearing's vibration and fatigue life considering raceway roundness of ball bearing before and after being fitted into housing are theoretically estimated. To perform analysis, a simple three degrees of freedom model was proposed and then these analysis was conducted utilizing the Newton-Raphson iterative method. The results show that vibration magnitude of ball bearing fitted into housing is considerably larger than before assembly, and bearing's theoretical L$_{10}$ fatigue life that ninety percent of the bearing population will endure decreased in about fifty percent.

CNC 밀링에 의한 볼록곡면 가공시의 가공특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristics of the convex surface machining in CNC milling)

  • In order to suggest the proper cutting conditons of the CNC milling machining for the free-form surface, some experments were carried out. In the experiments, the influence of cutting conditions on a inclined spherical surface were examined by geometrical analysis. In this study, the roundness and cutting force were measured to know the effect of several cutting conditions on the machined surface and the cutting characteristics were carefully investigated. The results obtained in this study are aw follows. 1) If the tool ha s enough rigidity, we can get better dimensional accuracy in up-ward cutting than down- ward cutting. 2) A great roundness error is appeared on the surface declined under 30 degress to the horizontal plane in circular machining by a bal end mill. 3) If the thrust force is increased, the stability of tool is decreased. And the phenomenon is apperared in great in down-ward cutting than up-ward cutting.

실규모 UASB반응조 내부 계층화된 혐기성 그래뉼의 물리화학적 & 생물학적 특성 조사 (Physico-chemical and biological characteristic analysis of stratified anaerobic granules in a full-scale UASB reactor)

  • 본 연구에서는 실규모 UASB 소화조에서 높이에 따른 그래뉼 슬러지의 물리화학·생물학적 특성에 대해 조사하였다. 혐기성 그래뉼은 UASB 반응조에서 지상으로부터 1 m 높이별(1 m, 2 m, 3 m)로 채취하였다. 형태학적 분석결과, 그래뉼의 크기는 소화조의 상단부로 갈수록 커졌고 원형율(roundness)은 하단부에서 더 둥근 형태를 나타내었다. ANOVA 검정 결과, 그래뉼의 평균 크기와 원형율은 95% 신뢰수준에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였고 두 변수 사이에 유의한 음의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다(r=-0.40, p<0.05). 아세트산, 프로피온산, 부틸산을 기질로 사용한 SMA test 결과에서는 2 m 높이에서 채취한 그래뉼의 비메탄활성도가 가장 높았다. EPS의 경우 높이에 따라 함량이 다양하게 나타났으며 2 m에서 가장 높았다. 본 실험의 결과를 통해 높이별 그래뉼 슬러지의 특성을 이해하고 소화조의 유지관리 및 성능 개선에 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
