풍력 발전기의 Rotor-Blades 회전체 시스템 공력 해석 (Analysis of Flows around the Rotor-Blades as Rotating Body System of Wind Turbine)

  • The most important component of wind turbine is rotor blades. The developing method of wind turbine was focused on design of rotor blade. By the way, the design of a rotating body is more decisive process in order to adjust the performance of wind turbine. For instance, the design allows the designer to specify the wind characteristics derived by topographical map. The iterative solver is then used to adjust one of the selected inputs so that the desired rotating performance which is directly related to power generating capacity and efficiency is achieved. Furthermore, in order to save the money for manufacturing the rotor blades and to decrease the maintenance fee of wind power generation plant, while decelerating the cut-in speed of rotor. Therefore, the design and manufacturing of rotating body is understood as a substantial technology of wind power generation plant development. The aiming of this study is building-up the profitable approach to designing of rotating body as a system for the wind power generation plant. The process was conducted in two steps. Firstly, general designing and it’s serial testing of rotating body for voltage measurement. Secondly, the serial test results above were examined with the CFD code. Then, the analysis is made on the basis of amount of electricity generated by rotor-blades and of cut-in speed of generator.

  • 본 연구에서는 틸트로터 비행체인 스마트무인기의 비행시험에서 엔진성능 데이터를 추출하고 분석하였다. 비행시험은 프롭로터의 틸트각이 90도에서 0도로 변화하고 다시 0도에서 90도로 변환하는 천이비행 영역에서 이루어졌다. 비행시험으로부터 수집된 엔진성능 데이터로서 엔진 동력과 비연료 소모율은 엔진성능계산프로그램의 예측결과와 잘 일치하였다.

  • Performance characteristics of an axial flow fan having distorted inlet flow have been investigated using numerical analysis as well as experiment. Two kinds of hub-cap, rounded and right-angled front shape, are tested to investigate the effect of inlet flow distortion on the fan performance. Numerical solutions are validated in comparison with experimental data measured by a five-hole probe downstream of the fan rotor. It is found from the numerical results that non-uniform axial inlet velocity profile near the hub results in the change of inlet flow angle. Large recirculation flow upstream the fan rotor for the right-angled hub-cap induces a negative incidence, thus invokes separated flow on the blade surfaces and deteriorates the performance of fan rotor.

  • The effect of tip clearance is important part for turbomachinery performance. Tip leakage flow due to tip clearance is mixed with passage vortex. Large amount of loss is generated at the mixing region and overall performance of turbomachinery is reduced. Numerical calculation of the 1st stage rotor of GE7FA gas turbine is carried out to investigate tip clearance effect on performance, pitchwise variations of velocity profiles, pressure distributions and loss coefficients. A commercial code, CFX-TascFlow is validated in this study.

  • The turbine system converts the kinetic energy of water flow to electricity by rotating the rotor in a restricted waterway between the seabed and free surface. A turbine system's immersion depth and rotation direction are significantly critical in the turbine's performance along with the shape of the rotor. This study has investigated the hydrodynamic performance of the Savonius hydrokinetic turbine (SHT) according to the immersion depth and rotation direction using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. The instantaneous torque, torque coefficient, and power coefficients are calculated for the immersion ratios Z/D ranging [0.25, 3.0] and both clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW) rotations. A flow visualization around the rotor is shown to clarify the correlation between the turbine's performance and the flow field. The CFD simulations show that the CCW rotation produces a higher power at shallow immersion, while the CW rotation performs better at deeper immersion. The immersion ratio should be greater than the minimum of Z/D=1.0 to obtain the maximum power production regardless of the rotation direction.

파워 효과를 고려한 스마트 무인기의 공력해석

  • 로터의 성능 예측 검증을 위해 tilt rotor aeroacoustic model(TRAM)에 대한 3차원 CFD 해석을 수행하였고 로터 파워 효과에 의한 영향을 분석하기 위해 수치해석을 행하였다. 수치 기법은 multiple reference method(MRF)와 sliding mesh technique을 사용하였다. TRAM 실험치와 비교 결과 정지 비행시에는 수치해석이 실험보다 적은 추력을 예측하였고 전진 비행시에는 실험결과와 매우 유사한 결과를 예측하였다. 로터효과를 고려한 비행체의 양력은 감소하고 항력 및 피칭 모멘트는 거의 변화가 없는 것으로 판단된다.

  • 유도전동기의 고성능 응답을 얻기 위해서는 전동기 매개변수의 정확한 추정이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 고정자(회전자)저항, 고정자(회전자)누설 인덕턴스, 상호 인덕턴스, 관성 모멘트와 같은 매개변수들을 오프라인으로 측정하였다. 고정자(회전자) 저항과 고정자(회전자) 누설 인덕턴스는 정지좌표계의 방정식들로부터 측정한 반면, 상호 인덕턴스는 스칼라 제어 상태에서 측정되었다. 마지막으로, 확장 칼만필터를 이용하여 회전자 역시 상수를 온라인 상에서 동정하였다. 본 논문에서 언급하는 추정알고리즘들의 유용성을 보이기 위해 실험결과들을 제시하였다.

  • A method for driving and position sensing of TSRM(Toroidal Switched Reluctance Motor) using the search coil is presented in this paper. Position information of the rotor is essential for SRM drives. The rotor position sensor such as an opto-interrupter or high performance encoder is generally used for the estimation of rotor position. However, these discrete position sensors not only add complexity and cost to the system but also tend to reduce the reliability of the drive system. In order to solve these problems, in the proposed method, rotor position detection is achieved using the voltage waveforms induced by the time varying flux linkage in the search coils, and then the appropriate phases are excited to drive the SRM. But the search coil EMF is generated only when the motor rotates. Therefore the rotor position sensing method at standstill is also suggested.

  • This paper proposes a sensorless control approach for Wound Rotor Synchronous Machines (WRSMs) based on a high frequency voltage signal injection into the stator side U phase and VW line, respectively. Considering the machine itself as a rotor position sensor, the rotor position observer is established according to the principles of the rotary transformer. A demodulation method for the high frequency signal inducted in the rotor is proposed as well. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed sensorless control approach has high performance and good practicability.

  • A new rotor control scheme, the isotropic control of anisotropic rotor bearing system in complex state space, is proposed, which utilizes the concepts on the eigenstructure of the isotropic rotor system. Then the control scheme is applied to an active magnetic bearing system and the control performance is investigated in relation to control energy, transient response, and unbalance response. In particular, it is shown that the proposed method is efficient for control of unbalance response.
