The present work is considered to study the two-dimensional problem in an orthotropic magneto-thermoelastic media and examined the effect of thermal phase-lags and GN-theories on Rayleigh waves in the light of fractional order theory with combined effect of rotation and hall current. The boundary conditions are used to derive the secular equations of Rayleigh waves. The wave properties such as phase velocity, attenuation coefficient are computed numerically. The numerical simulated results are presented graphically to show the effect of phase-lags and GN-theories on the Rayleigh wave phase velocity, attenuation coefficient, stress components and temperature change. Some particular cases are also discussed in the present investigation.

The intrinsic instabilities of fluid flow occurred in the melt of the Czochralski crystal growth system Czochralski method, asymmetric flow patterns and temperature profiles in the melt have been studied by many researchers. The idea that the non-symmetric structure of the growing equipment is responsible for the asymmetric profiles is usually accepted at the first time. However further researches revealed that some intrinsic instabilities not related to the non-symmetric equipment structure in the melt could also appear. Ristorcelli had pointed out that there are many possible causes of instabilities in the melt. The instabilities appears because of the coupling effects of fluid flow and temperature profiles in the melt. Among the instabilities, the B nard type instabilities with no or low crucible rotation rates are analyzed by the visualizing experiments using X-ray radiography and the 3-D numerical simulation in this study. The velocity profiles in the Silicon melt at different crucible rotation rates were measured using X-ray radiography method using tungsten tracers in the melt. The results showed that there exits two types of fluid flow mode. One is axisymmetric flow, the other is asymmetric flow. In the axisymmetric flow, the trajectory of the tracers show torus pattern. However, more exact measurement of the axisymmetrc case shows that this flow field has small non-axisymmetric components of the velocity. When fluid flow is asymmetric, the tracers show random motion from the fixed view point. On the other hand, when the observer rotates to the same velocity of the crucible, the trajectory of the tracer show a rotating motion, the center of the motion is not same the center of the melt. The temperature of a point in the melt were measured using thermocouples with different rotating rates. Measured temperatures oscillated. Such kind of oscillations are also measured by the other researchers. The behavior of temperature oscillations were quite different between at low rotations and at high rotations. Above experimental results means that the fluid flow and temperature profiles in the melt is not symmetric, and then the mode of the asymmetric is changed when rotation rates are changed. To compare with these experimental results, the fluid flow and temperature profiles at no rotation and 8 rpm of crucible rotation rates on the same size of crucible is calculated using a 3-dimensional numerical simulation. A finite different method is adopted for this simulation. 50×30×30 grids are used. The numerical simulation also showed that the velocity and flow profiles are changed when rotation rates change. Futhermore, the flow patterns and temperature profiles of both cases are not axisymmetric even though axisymmetric boundary conditions are used. Several cells appear at no rotation. The cells are formed by the unstable vertical temperature profiles (upper region is colder than lower part) beneath the free surface of the melt. When the temperature profile is combined with density difference (Rayleigh-B nard instability) or surface tension difference (Marangoni-B nard instability) on temperature, cell structures are naturally formed. Both sources of instabilities are coupled to the cell structures in the melt of the Czochralski process. With high rotation rates, the shape of the fluid field is changed to another type of asymmetric profile. Because of the velocity profile, isothermal lines on the plane vertical to the centerline change to elliptic. When the velocity profiles are plotted at the rotating view point, two vortices appear at the both sides of centerline. These vortices seem to be the main reason of the tracer behavior shown in the asymmetric velocity experiment. This profile is quite similar to the profiles created by the baroclinic instability on the rotating annulus. The temperature profiles obtained from the numerical calculations and Fourier transforms of it are quite similar to the results of the experiment. bove esults intend that at least two types of intrinsic instabilities can occur in the melt of Czochralski growing systems. Because the instabilities cause temperature fluctuations in the melt and near the crystal-melt interface, some defects may be generated by them. When the crucible size becomes large, the intensity of the instabilities should increase. Therefore, to produce large single crystals with good quality, the behavior of the intrinsic instabilities in the melt as well as the effects of the instabilities on the defects in the ingot should be studied. As one of the cause of the defects in the large diameter Silicon single crystal grown by the
This paper presents a simple method of rotational and translational motion estimation for digital image stabilization. The scheme first computes the rotation center by taking least squares of selected local velocity vectors, and the rotational angle is found from special subset of motion vectors. And then translational motion can be estimated by the relation among movement of rotation center, rotation angle and translation movement. To show the effectiveness of our approach, the synthetic images are evaluated, resulting in better performance.

Turbulent coherent structures in the intermediate wake of a stationary and rotating cylinder, spin rate S=0.7, situated in a uniform were experimentally investigated using a conditionalphase average technique. Measurements were carried out at a section of 8.5 diameters downstream form the center of cylinder and a Reynolds number of $Re=6.5{\times}10^{3}.$/TEX> The phase averaged velocity and velocity vector fields, contours of vorticity, turbulent intermittency function and velocity fluctuation energy are presented and discussed in relation to the large scale coherent structures by Karman vortices that shed periodically from the cylinder. Coherent wake structures of the rotating cylinder is almost identical with stationary cylinder, but the lateral displacement and shrinkage of turbulent wake region is occured by rotation. Rotation of the cylinder result in that the deflection of wake center to deceleration region(Y/D${\simeq}-0.3)$ and the decrease of mean velocity defect(10%), vorticity strength of large scale structures(19%), total velocity fluctuation energy(12%).
Comprehensive numerical computations are made of a homogenous spin-up in a cylindrical cavity with a time-dependent rotation rate. Numerical solutions are acquired to the governing axisymmetric cylindrical Navier-Stokes equation. A rotation rate formula is ${\Omega}_f={\Omega}_i+{\Delta}{\Omega}(1-{\exp}(-t/t_c))$. If $t_c$ is large, it implies that a rotation change rate is small. The Ekman number, E, is set to $10^{-4}$ and the aspect ratio, R/H, fixed to I. For a linear spin-up(${\epsilon}<<$), the major contributor to spin-up in the interior is not viscous-diffusion term but inviscid term, especially Coriolis term, though $t_c$ is very large. The viscous-diffusion term only works near sidewall. But for spin-up from rest, when $t_c$ is very large, viscous-diffusion term affects interior area as well as sidewall, initially. So azimuthal velocity of interior for large $t_c$ appears faster than that of interior for relatively small $t_c$. However, the viscous-diffusion term of interior decreases as time increases. Instead, inviscid term appears in the interior.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic difference between skilled and less skilled group for the forward walk at dance sports rumba. Six female players(skilled group: 3, less skilled group: 3) were participated as the subjects. To obtain the three-dimensional location coordinates in the joints and segments, it shot with 100Hz/s using 8 video cameras. Step length, shoulder rotation angle, orientation angle and angular velocity of pelvis were analyzed for each trail. The skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at the shoulder rotation angle and ROM. The skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at the up/down obliquity and internal/external rotation movement for pelvis. And the skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at Maximum angle (down obliquity) of P2 and Maximum angle (up obliquity) of P3 to pelvis ROM. The skilled group showed a faster angular velocity than the less skilled group at P2 (+ direction, posterior) of anterior & posterior tilt, P2 & P3 (- direction, up) of up & down obliquity, and P2 (+ direction, external) of internal & external rotation.

The effect of mold rotation on the transport process and resultant macrosegregation pattern during solidification of an Al-Cu alloy contained in a vertical axisymmetric annular mold cooled from the inner wall is numerically investigated. The mold initially at rest starts to rotate at a prescribed angular velocity simultaneously with the beginning of cooling. Computed results for a representative case show that the mold rotation essentially suppresses the development of both thermal and solutal convections in the melt, creating distinct characteristics such as the liquidus front, flow pattern and temperature distribution from those for the stationary mold. Thermal convection which develops at the early stages of cooling is soon extinguished by the rotating flow induced during spin-up, and thus does not effectively remove the initial superheat from the melt. On the other hand, solutal convection, though it weakens considerably and is confined within the mushy zone, still predominates over the solute redistribution process. With increasing the angular velocity, the solute transport in the axial direction is enhanced, whereas that in the radial direction is reduced. The final macrosegregation formed in the mold rotating at moderate angular velocities appears to be favorable in comparison with the stationary casting, in that not only relatively homogenized composition is achieved, but also a severely positive-segregated channel is restrained.

Conventional inertial measurement units cannot be used in the spinning vehicle with high rotation rate due to gyro's narrow operation range. By the way, angular acceleration can be measured using the accelerometer array distributed in the vehicle. This paper derives a mechanization for the gyro-free INS in the navigation frame, and proposes a gyro-free INS algorithm based on the derived mechanization. In addition, the proposed algorithm is used to estimate angular velocity, attitude, velocity, and position of a spinning vehicle with high rotation rate. A MATLAB-based software platform is configured in order to show validation of the proposed algorithm. The reference trajectory of a spinning vehicle at 3 round per second, 30 round per second are set up, and the outputs of accelerometer are generated when triads of accelerometer are located at the origin and all the axes. Navigation results of the proposed algorithm for the generated output are presented. The results show that the proposed navigation algorithm can be applied to the spinning vehicle with high rotation rate.
In an attempt of clarifying the connection between the photospheric abundance anomalies and the stellar rotation as well as of exploring the nature of "normal A" stars, the abundances of seven elements (C, O, Si, Ca, Ti, Fe, and Ba) and the projected rotational velocity for 46 A-type field stars were determined by applying the spectrum-fitting method to the high-dispersion spectral data obtained with BOES at BOAO. We found that the peculiarities(underabundances of C, O, and Ca; an overabundance of Ba) seen in slow rotators efficiently decrease with an increase of rotation, which almost disappear at $v_esin\;i{\gtrsim}100km\;s^{-1}$. This further suggests that stars with sufficiently large rotational velocity may retain the original composition at the surface without being altered. Considering the subsolar tendency(by several tenths dex below) exhibited by the elemental abundances of such rapidly-rotating (supposedly normal) A stars, we suspect that the gas metallicity may have decreased since our Sun was born, contrary to the common picture of galactic chemical evolution.

We perform disk-halo decomposition of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) using a novel HI velocity field extraction method, aimed at better deriving its HI kinematics and thus the dark matter density profile. For this, we use two newly developed galaxy kinematic analysis tools, BAYGAUD and 2DBAT which have been used for the kinematic analysis of resolved galaxies from Australian Square Kilometre Array (ASKAP) observations like WALLABY which is an all-sky HI galaxy survey in southern sky. By applying BAYGAUD to the combined HI data cube of the LMC taken with the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) and Parkes radio telescopes, we decompose all the line-of-sight velocity profiles into an optimal number of Gaussian components based on Bayesian MCMC techniques. From this, we disentangle turbulent non-circular gas motions from the overall rotation of the galaxy. We then derive the rotation curve of the LMC by applying 2DBAT to the separated circular motions. The rotation curve reflecting the total kinematics of the LMC, dark and baryonic matters is then be combined with the mass models of baryons, mainly stellar and gaseous components in order to examine the dark matter distribution. Here, we present the analysis of the extracted HI gas maps, rotation curve, and J, H and K-band surface photometry of the LMC.
