  • Recently, it is concentrated on productivity improvement in high speed operation by converting industries. Register error is becoming the one of the most issued problem. Moreover register control is the key to product flexible displays through roll-to-roll systems. This paper presents a derivation of register error modeling. And the dynamics of register error is simulated under various conditions. Register error is affected by both roll velocity and tension between the front and back span. And dynamics of register error is to be an interaction in succeeding spans.

전조가공을 이용한 기어의 치형오차수정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Correction of the Gear Tooth Profile Error by Finish Roll Forming)

  • This study deals with the correction of gear tooth profile error by finish roll forming. First, we experimentally confirmed that the tooth profile error is a synthesis of the concave error and the pressure angle error. Since various types of tooth profile errors appear in the experiments, we introduced evaluation parameters for rolling gears to objectively evaluate profile quality. Using these evaluation parameters, we clarified the relationship among the tooth profile error, the addendum modification factor (A. M. factor), and the tool loading force. We verified the character of concave error, pressure angle error, tool loading force and number of cycles of finish roll forming by using a forced displacement method. This study makes clear that tool loading force and number of cycles of finish roll forming are very important factors that affect involute tooth profile error. The results of the experiment and analysis show that the proposed method reduces concave and pressure angle errors.

R2R 그라비어 오프-셋 인쇄공정에서의 동기화 오차에 대한 분석 (Analysis of Synchronization Error in R2R Gravure Off-set Printing Process)

  • Recently, there are many issues about R2R printing technique for mass production of electronic devices. Among the various Roll-to-roll based printing techniques such as gravure, off-set, flexo and so on, "Gravure off-set printing technique" has an advantage of higher printing resolution. The printing unit of gravure off-set printing technique usually consists of plate roll, blanket roll and impressure roll whose. Linear velocities should be synchronized each other for fine pattern printing. However, roller's manufacturing error and printing variations such as pringting pressure, printing speed, roll stroke and so on actually affected their synchronization anf thus the quality of fine fattern. In this paper, we analyzed the effective of synchronization error on printing quality. Also, this paper reviews the relative motion with each roll. And, this paper studys the synchronization error about its generation problem.

머신러닝을 활용한 가변 롤포밍 공정 web-warping 예측모델 개발 (Application of Machine Learning to Predict Web-warping in Flexible Roll Forming Process)

  • Flexible roll forming is an advanced sheet-metal-forming process that allows the production of parts with various cross-sections. During the flexible process, material is subjected to three-dimensional deformation such as transverse bending, inhomogeneous elongations, or contraction. Because of the effects of process variables on the quality of the roll-formed products, the approaches used to investigate the roll-forming process have been largely dependent on experience and trial- and-error methods. Web-warping is one of the major shape defects encountered in flexible roll forming. In this study, an SVR model was developed to predict the web-warping during the flexible roll forming process. In the development of the SVR model, three process parameters, namely the forming-roll speed condition, leveling-roll height, and bend angle were considered as the model inputs, and the web-warping height was used as the response variable for three blank shapes; rectangular, concave, and convex shape. MATLAB software was used to train the SVR model and optimize three hyperparameters (λ, ε, and γ). To evaluate the SVR model performance, the statistical analysis was carried out based on the three indicators: the root-mean-square error, mean absolute error, and relative root-mean-square error.

  • This study aims at the development of REC sensor causing the gauge error in the hot strip rolling process, and the improvement of the hydraulic AGC (Automatic Gauge Control) system. The gauge error outbreaks from the various reasons, however, mainly the roll eccentricity is considered to cause a such kind of error. In the study, the REC (Roll Eccentricity Control System) sensor is designed using sensor An On - line test of the system shows the comprehensive effects of controlling the gauge error of the hot strip. On - Line test shows the possibility of enhancing the accuracy for gauge.

롤 회전하는 3축 초음파 풍속계를 활용한 풍향 풍속 측정기법(II) (Technique of Measuring Wind Speed and Direction by Using a Roll-rotating Three-Axis Ultrasonic Anemometer (II))

  • In a previous study, a technique for measuring wind speed and direction by using a roll-rotating three-axis ultrasonic anemometer was proposed and verified by wind tunnel tests. In the tests, instead of a roll sensor, roll angle was trimmed to make no up flow in the transformed wind speeds. Verification was done in point of the residual error of the rotation effect treatment. In this study, roll angle was measured from the roll motor encoder and the transformed wind speed and direction on the test section axis were compared with the ones provided to the test section. As a result, up to yaw $20^{\circ}$ at a wind speed of 12 m/sec or over, the RMS error of wind speed was within the double of the ultrasonic anemometer error. But at yaw $30^{\circ}$, it was over the double of the ultrasonic anemometer error. Regardless of wind speed, at yaw $20^{\circ}$ and $30^{\circ}$, the direction error was within the double of the ultrasonic anemometer error. But at yaw $10^{\circ}$ or less, it was within the error of the ultrasonic anemometer itself. This is a very favorable characteristic to be used for wind turbine yaw control.

Motion Sensor를 이용한 MBES 오측자료 제거 연구 (A Study on MBES Error Data Removing using Motion Sensor)

  • 수심측량 자료는 선박의 항행안전을 위한 필수자료이며 해양의 합리적 이용과 보전을 위한 기초자료이다. 최근 IT기술과 측위장비(GPS와 INS), 수심관측 장비(Echo Sounder)의 발달로 멀티빔(Multi Beam Echo Sounder) 방식을 이용하여 정밀한 해저지형 자료DB를 구축하고 있다. MBES 자료에는 다양한 요인으로 인하여 오차를 포함하고 있으며, 일부 자료에서 지형이 지그재그한 물결현상을 발생하는 오차들이 발생한다. 물결무늬를 발생시키는 오차는 MBES 자료 처리결과의 정확도를 저해하는 요인이며, 발생 원인을 파악하여 이러한 오측자료 제거를 통하여 정확도를 향상시키고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 MBES 자료를 이용하여 물결 무늬 현상이 발생하는 자료에 대한 Motion sensor 값을 분석하여 오측자료의 원인을 파악하였다 분석결과, 물결무늬 현상은 Roll의 표준편차와 상관관계를 갖으며, 이러한 물결무늬 오측자료는 급격한 Roll 값의 변화로 인하여 Swath 자료와 Roll 값의 불일치 결과로 나타났다. 이를 근거로 Swath 자료의 기울기와 Roll 값의 비교하여 오측자료를 선별하여 제거하였다 오측자료를 제거한 결과. Motion sensor의 Roll 값의 표준연차 등을 이용하여 MBES 자료의 품질을 판단하고, 불일치 자료를 최소화하는 추가적인 오차 요인을 계산할 수 있을 것이라 예상된다 또한, 해황조건이 고르지 못한 상황 및 Sensor의 움직임이 크게 일어나는 소형 선박 등에 척용을 하면 수심측량 정확도 개선에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

기어전조의 기어 형상 및 압력각오차에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Concave and Pressure Angle Error of Gear Finish Roll Forming)

  • This study deals with finish roll forming by forced displacement can be conceived as a method of eliminating errors in conventional form rolling under constant loads. This method produces a high-precision tooth profile by low-speed form rolling when a high rigid screw or cam is used at the pressurized section. Tooth profile is decided in the beginning of roll forming and ${\delta}_{max}$ mainly increases if the number of roll forming process is increased. Gear class is improved by one or two class after roll forming if the gear has convex type error and pressure angle error in KS 4 class. If the gear have concave type error and pressure angle error and pressure angle error, gear class is not improved in theory, but improved a little in practice. In the finishing roll forming, it inevitably yields both the concaving of tooth profile and plastic deflection of addendum of teeth. Experiments show that the concaving and the plastic deflection are successfully reduced, the accuracy of tooth profile reaches to KS 0 class.

롤투롤 인쇄전자에서의 횡방향 레지스터 동적 특성 모델링 (A Study on the Dynamic Analysis on the Cross Directional Register in Roll-to-roll e-Printing Systems)

  • For the adaption of roll-to-roll printing method to the printed electronics, it is mandatory to increase the resolution of register errors. Therefore it is desired to derive the mathematical modeling of register error or to develop controller design. The cross direction register error was derived considering both lateral motion of moving web and transverse position of printing roll. The mathematical modeling was validated and the relationship between the lateral motion and register error was analyzed by numerical simulations in various operating conditions using multi-layer direct gravure printing machine. The results could be used for a design of the CD register in the multi-layer printing and the lateral motion caused by translation.

  • This paper presents dynamics of register error on a compensator roll type converting machine. Though a register control is an important aspect of a converting machine, it has not been taken into account as a main subject. Lately, demands for high speed converting machines over 500mpm(m/min) are raising but domestic converting industries can not come up with the high speed machines because capacities fur designing of the converting machine is restricted lower than 300mpm. Moreover register control is the key to product flexible displays through roll-to-roll systems. In this paper, a compensator roll type register controller is analyzed using mathematical model of register error. A case study for reducing transient register errors is discussed.
