  • Privacy enforcement has been one of the most important problems in IT area. Privacy protection can be achieved by enforcing privacy policies within an organization's online and offline data processing systems. Traditional security models are more or less inappropriate for enforcing basic privacy requirements, such as purpose binding. This paper proposes a new approach in which a privacy control model is derived from integration of an existing security model. To this, we use an extended role-based access control model for existing security mechanism, in which this model provides context-based access control by combining RBAC and domain-type enforcement. For implementation of privacy control model we use GRBAC(Generalized Role-Based Access Control), which is expressive enough to deal with privacy preference. And small hospital model is considered for application of this model.

  • In these days it is rapidly increasing that multi-user, multi-layered commercial software developments for companies or public institutions. Security services are necessary for most of systems and the access control service is the essential of security services. Current access control methods that are used as access control policies are classified as Discretionary Access Control Mandatory Access Control and Role Based Access Control. However there are some inefficiencies when those methods are applied to current multi-user, multi-layered systems. Therefore it is required that a new access control method that takes complex system resources into account from the side of policy. In this paper extending previous Role Based of 'Behavior' and a basic model of the method. And we simply implement the method on the mobile agent based workflow management system that is a representative example of multi-user. multi-layered softwares and shows implementation results to tap possibilities of real-world application.

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop and test a maternal role strengthening program based on home care nursing. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was employed. Changes in the variables(maternal identity and confidence of maternal role) were evaluated to test the effects of the developed program. Participants were first-time mothers receiving home care nursing from S Medical Center following normal spontaneous vaginal delivery(experimental group 29; control group 29). Data collection was conducted from December 2008 to February 2009. $X^2$-test, Fisher's exact test and t-test were used to analyse the data. Results: Hypothesis 1, that the experimental group receiving this program would experience a stronger maternal identity than the control group, was supported(t=-7.990, p=<.001). Hypothesis 2, that the experimental group would have higher confidence in their maternal role than the control group, was also supported(t=-10.109, p=<.001). Conclusion: The maternal role strengthening program based on home care nursing developed in this study was found to be an effective means of improving maternal identity and confidence of maternal role. As these traits are developed once the baby is born, active nursing programs which provide continuous training and demonstrations to mothers are needed prior to hospitalization and following hospital discharge.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the predictive factors for maternal role development for mothers of premature infants. Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted. A total sample of 121 mothers of premature infants following discharge from the neonatal intensive care unit were recruited using two strategies; an internet-based survey and an in-person data collection in a tertiary university hospital in Korea. A self-report questionnaire was used to collect data regarding personal, birth variables, marital intimacy, maternal attachment, maternal identity and maternal role development. Results: A hierarchical multiple regression analysis indicated that parity, maternal attachment, marital intimacy and maternal identity were predictors for maternal role development for mothers of premature infants, accounting for 70% of the variance. Among these variables, maternal attachment is the most powerful predictor for maternal role development. Conclusion: Nursing interventions during hospitalization to post-discharge education that includes parents of premature babies with positive interaction between couples strengthening marital intimacy and promotes maternal attachment that leads to integrate maternal identity should be considered by priority. Community-based family services such as home visits should be focused on maximizing the predictive factors for maternal role development in transition to motherhood that can contribute to maternal health as well as optimal growth and development of premature infants.

  • Recently, role-based distributed system models have been proposed to support adaptive interactions in ubiquitous application environment. A Role-based distributed model regards an application as an organization composed of roles, and separate players running role processes from the roles. When an application is running, it binds a role with a player, and the player runs dynamically assigned role processes provided by an application for supporting adaptability. However, there has not been much attention on researches about development and runtime environment for role-based distributed systems. In this paper we suggest an application framework as an environment for developing and executing role-base distributed systems. The application framework is divided into two parts: an organization framework to manage and construct an organization composed of roles necessary in the application, and a player framework to provide running environment for players. In this paper, we focus on the organization framework which supports the creation and management of organizations, directory service for players and allocation of players to roles, and message brokering between roles and players. The proposed framework makes developers to be able to develop highly adaptive distributed systems in the ubiquitous environment.

  • The objectives of the unit ‘Family Relations’in high school Home Economics Education is to help the students cultivating proper values and self-esteem, maintaining harmonious personal relations not only by understanding human relationships in family, but also by acquiring role play, and is to wisely cope with many problems occurring in social life, which are indispensable for those living in modern society. But at present it is hard for the students to gain those abilities mentioned above, for the present unit ‘Family Relations’lays special emphasis only on memorizing specific knowledge about the understanding of a family. To improve the present educational situation, this study develops a new teaching-learning method based on the role play model concerning the ‘Family Relation’area of high school Home Economics Education curriculum. This study is theoretically based on the literature and previous studies on present problems of our various family relations, and solving its problems, and suggests lesson model of role play and its effect. This study was performed as following procedures: the ‘Family Relation’unit of the present high school Home Economics Education curriculum was analyzed, and surveyed students to discover the conflicts and their solutions the high school students are now experiencing in their family relations. Accordingly, a new lesson model of the ‘Family Relation’area, applying role play was developed. Based on the developed lesson plan, two-hour classes were experimented and positive evaluation was given by students.

  • Purpose: The role of registered nurses is expanding in scope as the healthcare paradigm shifts from acute, hospital-based care to community and population-based care. Given this paradigm shift, this study explores the legal aspects of the role of a registered nurse. Methods: We used document analysis for extracting laws and legal orders related to nursing from the entirety of Korean law. Using textualism approach, we examined the contents utilizing a framework that was developed based on the role classification of community nurses by Clark in this study. Results: A total of 119 items related to nursing were derived from 64 laws. Of these, 71.4 % can be performed by people in multiple types of occupations including nurses. As a result of analyzing required qualifications, 45.4% of 119 items required additional qualifications besides registered nurse license. Analysis of workplace and activity type demonstrated that 26.1% of the 119 items were related to medical institutions, with nurses performing mostly "Client-oriented role." More than half (68.9%) were non-medical institutions, with nurses performing mostly "Delivery-oriented role." Some, however, did not stipulate the nurse's roles clearly. Conclusion: Therefore, to match the enhanced scope and responsibilities of registered nurses and to appropriately recognize, guide, and hold these nurses accountable, laws and policy must reflect these changes. In doing so, these updated laws and policies will ultimately serve as a basis for improving the quality and safety of nursing services.

  • Among web-based systems being widely used now, there are so many systems which are still using an user-level access control method. By successfully applying role-based access control(RBAC) to web-based application systems, we can expect to have an effective means with reinforced security for Internet-based systems. In order to apply RBAC to web-based application systems, we should come up with a system architecture for it. I proposed a system architecture which is needed to apply RBAC to web-based application systems. The proposed system architecture is largely composed of system composition and system functioning. For details, firstly, a certificate used by RBAC is specified. Secondly, a system architecture using a user-pull method is proposed and overall system components are mentioned with a role server being centered. Then, I showed how the system architecture can work to carry out RBAC on web-based application systems. Lastly, the analyses on the proposed system architecture are described for the purpose of proving its feasibility.
