Adaptive Digital Watermarking for Copyright Protection of CAD Data

  • To protect against unlawful reproductions and distribution, the current paper proposes a digital watermarking technique for architectural drawings produced using a CAD system. First, the POLYLINEs are extracted from the drawing; then, an adaptive algorithm is used to embed a watermark in the characteristics of each POLYLINE. Next, the CIRCLEs are embedded using an adaptive watermarking algorithm related to the radius of circle from drawing. The proposed watermarking scheme is robust to various attacks, such as the geometrical transformation. Additionally, the proposed method satisfies the requirement of transparency for CAD program. It used AutoCAD 2002, which is commonly used as a CAD program for experiments. Experimental results confirmed the robustness and invisibility of the embedded watermarks in several conversions of an architectural drawing.

  • This paper proposes a new driving scheme for single-phase SRM. The driving scheme is very simple and inexpensive. By use of this scheme, simple power devices based on low switching losses enable to high efficiency SRM drive. Starting, One of the main problem in single-phase SRM is overcame by a new starting algorithm with one hall sensor and a parting magnet. The proposed single phase SRM has a high efficiency and robust drive characteristics compared to that of a universal motor.

  • In this paper, a novel rotor flux estimation method of an induction motor using support vector regression(SVR) is presented. Two well-known different flux models with respect to voltage and current are necessary to estimate the rotor flux of an induction motor. Training of SVR which the theory of the SVR algorithm leads to a quadratic programming(QP) problem. The proposed SVR rotor flux estimator guarantees the improvement of performance in the transient and steady state in spite of parameter variation circumstance. The validity and the usefulness of proposed algorithm are throughly verified through numerical simulation.

  • The On Board Computer System (ORCS) used for rolling stocks is one of the core equipments in trains, which deals with collecting real-time data of a train to display and record the train's statuses, control the train, and support the driver and maintenance function. Resides, due to high reliability and high speed communication required lately for various electronics including signal1ing devices, train protection system, and multimedia, the necessity of a more robust train communication network is on the lise. This study aims at understanding the technological trend of the current train communication network in order to rapidly cope with the tendency above and providing fundamental data for designing a more advanced communication network for high-speed trains hereafter.

  • 분산전원을 계통에 연계하여 운용하는 경우 계통연계 인버터가 사용되며 계통에 주입되는 유효전력과 무효전력의 크기를 조절하기 위해 인버터의 출력전류를 제어하게 된다. 그러나 계통전압이 불평형 상태이거나 계통 임피던스에 변동이 있을 경우 계통연계 인버터의 출력전류 제어 성능이 떨어지는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 계통전압의 불평형 상태와 계통 임피던스 변동에 강인한 계통연계 인버터의 새로운 전류제어 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 외란관측기 기반 제어기를 사용하여 계통전압의 불평형 혹은 계통 임피던스 변화와 같은 외란의 영향을 보상한다. 제안된 기법의 강인성과 성능이 시뮬레이션을 통해 입증된다.

Fouling control in a woven fibre microfiltration membrane for water treatment

  • Current available commercial membranes are not robust and are therefore destroyed if left to dry out or handled roughly. Woven fibre microfiltration (WFMF) membranes have advantages over its competitors with respect to durability, thus, favourable for the developing economies and operation during rough conditions. Evaluation of the effects of aeration and brushing as a flux enhancement strategies for WFMF membrane was the purpose of this study. The WFMF membrane was found to be susceptible to pore plugging by colloidal material and adsorption/attachment by microbiological contaminants. This led to a 50% loss in flux. Aeration as a single flux enhancement strategy proved insufficient to maintain high flux successfully. Therefore combined flux enhancement strategies yielded the best results.

  • This paper proposes a fault detection method for a Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) with overactuated system. Current status information for fault detection is expressed as a scalogram image. The scalogram image is obtained by wavelet-transforming the USV's control input and sensor information. The fault detection scheme is based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm. The previously generated scalogram data was transferred learning to GoogLeNet algorithm. The data are generated as scalogram images in real time, and fault is detected through a learning model. The result of fault detection is very robust and highly accurate.

Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy-based modeling of exhaust emissions from dual-fuel engine using biodiesel and producer gas

  • The dual-fuel technology, which uses gaseous fuel as the main fuel and liquid as the pilot fuel, is an appealing technology for reducing the exhaust emissions. The current study proposes emission models based on ANFIS for a dual-fuel using producer gas (PG)-diesel engine. Emissions measurements were taken at different engine load levels and fuel injection timings. The proposed model predictions were examined using statistical methods. With R2 values in the range of 0.9903 to 0.9951, the established ANFIS model was found to be consistently robust in predicting emission characteristics. The mean absolute percentage deviate in range 1.9 to 4.6%, and mean squared error varies in range 0.0018 to 13.9%. The evaluation of the ANFIS model developed shows a reliable claim of intrinsic sensitivity, strength, and outstanding generalization. The presented meta-model can be used to simulate the engine's operation in order to create an efficient control tool.

Multi-stream Delivery Method of the Video Data Based on SPIHT Wavelet (SPIHT 웨이브릿 기반의 비디오 데이터의 멀티스트림 전송 기법)

  • In this paper, we proposed the compression technique of the video data using SPIHT(set partitioning in hierarchical trees) based on wavelet and the multi-stream delivery method for best-effort service as fully utilizing the clients bandwidth over the current Internet. The experiment shows that the proposed method provides about 1.5dB better picture quality without block effects than DCT(discrete consine transform) based coding schemes at the same bit rates because of using the wavelet video coder. In addition, this technique implements the multi-stream transmission based on TCP(transmission control protocol). Thus, it is provided with the best-efforts service which is robust to the network jitter problem, and maximally utilizes the bandwidth of the client's.

  • This paper presents system modeling, modified space vector PWM implementation and design of a closed loop controller of the Z-source inverter which consists of L and C components and shoot-through zero vectors for DGS. Zero vector periods of SVPWM utilized to boost DC-link voltage instead of conventional DC/DC converter and transformer. Only two shoot-through vut(nn are used for DC link voltage control during one switching period without loss of non-zero vectors. Discrete time sliding mode controller, robust servomechanism controller are designed to realize fast and no-overshoot current response and a steady state voltage error. Simulation results are shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
