  • The SLIM used in the conveyance system has been generally developed the controller based on the slip frequency control and the VVVF method to obtain the quick response for the position control signal. This paper deals with the trust control of the SLIM by vector control with Bang-Bang condition. Also, the control system is composed of the PI controller for soft start of the SLIM and the q-axis current controller for correction in phase with Space Vector for reducing the harmonic pulsation in low speed. The processing for vector control and robust dynamic breaking control is carried out by MC80196KC micro processor and IGBT module. The proposed scheme is verified through the computer simulation and experiments for the 10KW SLIM.

  • The direct torque control(DTC) of induction machines has the advantages of a simple control scheme and a very quick and robust torque response and its application is extended in the traction field. However, some drawbacks of the conventional DTC strategy using a hysteresis controller are the relatively large torque ripple in the steady state and the variation of switching frequency according to the amplitude of hysteresis bands and the motor operating conditions. In this paper, a navel direct t()roue control scheme of induction machines based on stator flux control and Space Vector Modulation Is proposed to acquire the advantage of a fixed switching period and the minimization of the torque and stator current ripple in a wide speed range. The effect of proposed method has been proven by simulations and experiments.

  • The wind-driven doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) is currently under pressure to be more grid-compatible. The main concern is the fault ride-through (FRT) requirement to keep the generator connected to the grid during faults. In response to this, the paper introduces a novel model and new control scheme for the DFIG. The model provides a means of direct stator power control and considers the stator transients. On the basis of the derived model, a robust linear quadratic (LQ) controller is synthesized. The control law has proportional and integral actions and takes account of one sample delay in the input owing to the microprocessor's execution time. Further, the influence of the grid voltage imperfection is mitigated using frequency shaped cost functional method. Compensation of the rotor current pulsations is proposed to improve the FRT capability as well as the generator performance under grid voltage unbalance. As a consequence, the control system can achieve i) fast direct power control without instability risk, ii) alleviation of the problems associated with the DFIG operation under unbalanced grid voltage, and iii) high probability of successful grid FRT. The effectiveness of the proposed solution is confirmed through simulation studies on 2MW DFIG.

  • This paper presents an implementation of a direct active and reactive power control for a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG), which is applied to a wind generation system as an alternative to the classical field-oriented control (FOC). The FOC has a complex control structure that consists of a current controller, a power controller and frame transformations. The performance of the FOC depends highly on parameter variations of the rotor and stator resistances and the inductances. The proposed direct power control (DPC) method produces a fast and robust power response without the need of complex structure and algorithms. One drawback, however, is its high power ripple during a steady state. In this paper, active and reactive power controllers and space-vector modulation (SVM) are combined to replace hysteresis controllers used in the original DPC drive, resulting in a fixed switching frequency of the power converter. Simulation results with the FOC and DPC for a 3kW DFIG are given and discussed, and the experimental results of a test involving identical machines are presented to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed control strategy.

  • A new flux observer based vector control system of an induction motor is constructed by using an observer in which the commanded stator currents are used to estimate the rotor flux. In this system, the flux observer is formulated by using a model of induction motor in a stationary coordinate system. By considering an observer of induction motor in a fixed co-ordinate system located on its secondary flux, a slip frequency controlled type of vector control system is also proposed. From these control schemes, the relation between the conventional slip frequency controlled type system and the observer based one is clarified. The steady-state error of the developed torque which is caused by the parameter change of induction motor is analyzed and discussed for the selection of observer gains. The poles of the observer error dynamics and those of the observer based vector control system are calculated analytically by neglecting the machine parameter change. In order to analyze the robust stability, a linear model of the observer based vector control system is proposed taking into account the machine parameter change. By using this model, the trajectories of the poles and zeros of the torque transfer function are computed and discussed. To test validity of the theoretical analysis, experiments are conducted by using a digital signal processor (TMS320C30) and a current controlled voltage source PWM inverter.

  • This paper presents an implementation of digital high-performance speed sensorless control system of an induction motor drives with Direct Torque Control(DTC). The system consists of closed loop stator flux and torque observer, speed and torque estimators, two hysteresis controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter, and TMS320C31 DSP controller board. The stator flux observer is based on the combined current and voltage model with stator flux feedback adaptive control for wide speed range. The speed estimator is using the model reference adaptive system(MRAS) with rotor flux linkages for speed turning signal estimation. In order to prove the suggested speed sensorless control algorithm, and to obtain a high-dynamic robust adaptive performance, we have some simulations and actual experiments at low(20rpm) and high(1000rpm) speed areas. The developed speed sensorless system are shown a good speed control response characteristic, and high performance features using 2.2[kW] general purposed induction motor.

Ultimate purpose is minimizing number of crew for guarantee economical efficiency of shipping service. Recently, being achieving research about Course Keeping Control, Track Keeping Control, Roll-Rudder Stabilization. Dynamic Ship Positioning and Automatic Mooring Control etc. which compensate nonlinear characteristic using optimizing control technique. And application research is progressing using real ship on actual field. Relation of Rudder angle which adjusted by Steering Machine and ship-heading angle are non-linear. And Load Condition of ship as non-linear element that influence to Parameter of ship. Also, because the speed of a current and direction of waves, velocity and quantity of wind etc. that is disturbance act in non-linear from, become factor who make serv ice of shipping painfully. Therefore, service system of shipping requires robust control algorithm that can overcome nonlinearity. • The Steer-By-Wire(SBW) system replaces complex mechanical linkages of the current steering system with electric motors, sensors, and electronic control units. However, the SBW system should guarantee its safety and reliability before commercialization, and therefore, a reliable and robust fault-tolerant technology has to be implemented. This paper proposes a fault-tolerant control algorithm for the SBW system. Based on careful analysis on propagation effects of sensor faults, a reliable fault-tolerant control strategy has been developed. The fault-tolerant controller consists of a fault detection part that monitors and detects faults in the steering wheel and road wheel sensors, and a reconfiguration part that switches to normal sensor signal based on fault detection information. It has been demonstrated by simulation that the proposed algorithm detects sensor faults accurately and enables reliable steering control under various dynamic fault situations.

  • A fast and robust method of grid generation to multiple functions has been developed for flow analysis in three dimensional space. It is based on the Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline(NURBS) of an approximation method. Many of NURBS intrinsic properties are introduced and much more easily understood. The grid generation method, details of numerical implementation. examples of application, and potential extensions of the current method are illustrated in this paper. The object of this study is to develop the surface grid generation and the grid cluster techniques capable of resolving complex flows with shock waves, expansion waves, shear layers. The knot insert method of Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline seems well worked. In addition, NURBS has been widely utilized to generate grids in the computational fluid dynamics community. Computational examples associated with practical configurations have shown the utilization of the algorithm.
