  • Brushless DC motors are widely used in many industrial fields as an actuator of robot and driving power motors of electrical vehicle. In this paper adaptive fuzzy sliding mode scheme is developed for velocity control of brushless DC motor. The proposed scheme does not require an accurate dynamic model. yet it guarantees asymptotic trajectory tracking despite torque variations. Numerical simulation and DSP-based experimental works for velocity control of brushless DC motor are carried out.

  • Map building is the most important thing for the mobile robots navigation. It requires specific vision system such as CCD camera, range finding system, and many other things. Laser range finder has highly collimated beams can be obtained easily, thus achieving lateral resolution. Laser Diode is used for a continuous laser source. The Automatic Current Control Circuit and the Bias-T is used for mix AC signal with DC bias. This signal is used for driving Laser Diode. The main idea of the calculating distance is detecting phase shift between reference signal and detected signal by photo detector. For the signal processing, the Lock-in amplifier system is addressed in this paper. We used a diffused reflected beam to detect phase shift in this system. But this beam is minuteness signal so it can be easily buried in nose. Lock-in amplifier is used to measure the amplitude and phase of signals which are buried in noise.

  • This paper describes the controller for the improving speed control the AC servo motor. The microprocessor provides an output to the difference in command. The servo system improves the characteristics of speed control. When the motor is running at the same speed as set by the reference signal, the speed encoder also provides a signal the same frequency. Thus, the microprocessor controlled digital techniques enable to realize the flexible performance and control which was possible with time constant. We can know that PI control using neural networks by 80196 can control efficiently speed of AC Servo motor. Finally experimental results prove excellent performance of this control system. The system can be adaptable to CNC machine.

  • A telemanipulator that reflects grasping force of the slave gripper to the human operator was implemented in order for manipulation to be more delicate and safe. An industrial robot gripper was used as the slave manipulator. The master manipulator was constructed to make it easy for a human operator to direct the slave and to feel the reflected gripping force. Reflected force was generated by the servomotor of the master. The force signal and position signals of the master and the slave was used to generate driving force signal. Basically position-position type control was used. Miner force feedback is added to improve the performance of the system. Implemented system was tested by colliding two fingers of the slave manipulator, and here switching was used to archive more fast and easy manipulation.

  • An efficient non-recursive formulation of dynamic force analysis has been developed for serially connected multibody systems. Although derivation of equations of motion is based on a recursive dynamic formulation with joint relative coordinates, in the proposed formulation, dynamic forces such as joint reaction forces and driving force are computed non-recursively for specified joints. The efficiency of the proposed formulation has been proved by the operational count and the CPU time measure, comparing with that of the conventional recursive Newton-Euler formulation. A simulation of 7-DOF RRC robot arm has been carried out to validate solutions of reaction forces by comparing with those from a commercial dynamic analysis program DADS.

  • The purpose of this study is to visualize the characteristics of ER fluids as preceding step of developing 3 port ER valves. As the strength of the electric field increases, more clusters in flow are made and these clusters are thought to be the reasons of the load flow rate being increased and the outlet flow rate being decreased. The ER Valves and load and outlet flow rate check method are considered to be applied to the fluid power control system. Using the manufactured pressure control valve, a one-link manipulator with FHA in robot system is driven. As a result, it is experimentally confirmed that the pressure control valve using ER fluids is applicable to use in driving actuator. If it applies characteristics of the ER fluids, it will be able to apply in the control system for the ER Valve which occurs from industrial controller(PLC).

  • This paper presents the method of AGV(Automatic guided vehicle)'s moving environment(plane, corner, edge) recognition using SONAR sensor configuration. As for the SONAR sensor, the Crosstalk effect has been generally considered as an inevitable noisy phenomenon in the indoor environment. However, this effect can be used as a clue for classifying and localizing targets in the indoor environment if those can be controlled and used well. EERUF(error eliminate rapid ultrasonic firing) is a method for firing multiple ultrasonic sensors in mobile robot application and multi-echo mode of POLARIOD Device can reduce the Crosstalk effect. Here, Crosstalk effect was reduced using EERUF and applied to the AGV with a simple wall-following algorithm in the indoor environment. This method was tesed by a typical AGV with multi SONAR sensors in the laboratory environment.

  • In recent years the construction sector has grown significantly in terms of investment and research on robotics and automation, yet it is still a low-tech and disjointed industry. One of the main scopes of this paper is to determine how robotic automation can provide the answers to the needs this industry has. To that end, an overall framework and development agenda of current technological innovation in the field has been outlined. Possible drawbacks and driving forces in the development of robots in the construction site have been identified. In addition, the review provides for state-of-the-art policies and regulations, as well as the short and medium-term outlook in different markets and countries. Ultimately, the forecast impact on traditional processes, construction sites, emerging technologies and related professions has been summarized in order to delineate prospective repercussions and future directions towards self-sufficiency.

  • In this paper, the robust position tracking cotroller for a brushless DC motor driving a one-link robot manipulator is proposed. By using the backstepping approach, the adaptive and robust controller is appropriately designed to ensure global stability. The proposed robust backstepping controller can compensate for estimation errors in system parameters in the system with no structural changes in the controller and without destruction of the stability. The closed-loop stability of the system is shown using Lyapunov techniques. The tracking errors are shown to be globally uniformly bounded.
