Development of Fuzzy Controller for Camera Autotracking System (원격 감시카메라 자동추적시스템의 퍼지제어기 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the development of a fuzzy controller for driving camera pan/tilt device so that the camera's viewing direction can automatically track a moving object. To achieve computational efficiency a non-contact type displacement follower is used as a feedback sensor instead of a vision camera. The displacement follower, however, is extremely sensitive to object's lighting condition and results in unstable response at high speed. To this end, a fuzzy controller is developed in such a way to provide stable tracking performance at high speed where the sensory signal is subjected to intermittant disturbances of large magnitude. The test result shows stable tracking response even for high speed and non-uniform lighting condition. The resulting camera autotracking system can be adopted as an effective tool for visual transfer in the context of teleoperation and autonomous robotics.

  • In this paper, PWM control is applied to the microprcessor-based adjustable speed dc motor drives. The motor drive system is composed of phase locked loop. Main drive circuit of the system is consisted of H-type bridge with switching transistors. PWM drive circuit is linearized by adding flywheeling diodes. And also. We study the optimum PWM data and period time so that it hase a nearly liner relationship between current and torque.

  • In this paper, Fly robot with electric power, a kind of Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), is considered as an autonomous hovering platform, capable of vertical lift-off, landing and stationary hovering. This aircraft has four rotor and DC motors of electrical Power, which is capable of omni-direction for indoor application. In the earlier days of vertical flight experimentation developers looked at the intuitively easy control functionality of 4 rotor designs. But we need to obtain design method of suitable structures and adequate components because the existing prototypes of 4 rotor-craft don't analyze the propeller, motor characteristic and propose a methodology to optimize this system. In this paper, we will show the new 4 rotor craft with blimp, analyze design and manufacturing method of 4 rotor craft system. Also we prove propriety of our design and manufacturing method by being based on thrust and motor experiment.

  • The automated chemical analysis shop floor are developed for the environmental pollution problems in our chemical analysis center. This shop floor have the several equipments include weight, pour, dry, heater, boiler, mixture, spectroscopy etc. And the material handling components are made up by the stored stack, conveyore, turntables, robot etc. Computer simulation has been an important tool for these complete design problem. We have designed the arangement of chemical equipments and material flow systems by using the simulator "AutoModII". "AutoMoII" is one of the advanced simulator, CAD-like drawing tools with a powerful, engineering oriented language to model control logic and material flow. The result is the modeling of the chemical analysis system in accurate, three dimensional detail. We could designed the set able layout and scheduling system by using the AutoMoII simulator.   • Ultrasonic sensors have been widely used to recognize the working environment for a mobile robot. However, their intrinsic problems, such as specular reflection, wide beam angle, and slow propagation velocity, require an excessive number of sensors to be integrated for achieving the sensing goal. This paper proposes a new measurement scheme which uses only two sets of ultrasonic sensors to determine the location and the type of a target surface. By measuring the time difference between the returned signals from the target surface, which are generated by two transmitters with 1 ㎳ difference, it classifies the type and determines the size of the target surface. Since the proposed sensor system uses only two sets of ultrasonic sensors to recognize and localize the target surface, it significantly simplifies the sensing system and reduces the signal processing time so that the working environment can be recognized in real time.

  • When a system is teleoperated in the indoor environment through the wireless LAN, we must consider the communication time delay. The time delay is random and unbounded due to the inherent characteristic and surrounding environment. As result of this, the stability and performance of the teleoperated system is degraded. In this paper, we present the adaptive control algorithm to overcome this problem by measuring time delay and allocating task corresponding to time delay dynamically. And the simple experiment is conducted to demonstrate the feasibility.

  • In this study, designing of precise linear transferring device which can be applied to industrial machine and robot industry has been introduced. The direction of power flow and output feature are similar to current Rack-Pinion type. However, unlimited length extensity via rack modulizing, and securing high velocity transportation have been realized by applying Pin-Pinion Gear type at the operation part. The analysis has been calculated to obtain the Pin-Pinion Gear's optimized tooth profile. As a result of research, it is impossible to control precisely even overlap at the teeth of involute and sprocket. Because they have peculiar gearing structure. Therefore, modified cycloid tooth has been proposed to perform high velocity, precise control without backlash.

  • There has been requested to automate the welding process in shipyard due to its dependence on skilled operators and the inferior working environments. According to these demands, multiple robot welding system for sub-assembly welding line has been developed, realized and installed at Keoje Shipyard. In order to realize automatic welding system, robots have to be equipped with the sensing system to recognize the position of the welding panels. In this research, a camera vision system is developed to detect the position of base panels for subassembly line in shipbuilding. Two camera vision systems are used in two different stages (Mounting and Welding) to automate the recognition and positioning of welding lines. For automatic recognition of panel position, various image processing algorithms are proposed in this paper.

  • The integration of deburring robots into product quality and productivity impact the industrial. In this paper the intelligent system of robotic deburring is proposed integrated with robot system, image processing system, force sensor system and host PC. The size, position, recognition of burr is determined by the information that the image processing system processed. The feed velocity of cutting tool is controlled by the information that the force sensor system processed. The integration of these information can remove the uncertainty of the information of deburring on the cutting path. The result of these technologies is useful for the development of the factory automation and automatic inspection equipments.

  • A new monitoring system is proposed to give direct visual information of the remote site when working with a tele-operation system. In order to have a similar behavior of a human when he is inspecting an object, multiple cameras that have different view point are attached around the robot hand and are switched on and elf according to the operator´s motion such as joystick manipulation or operator´s head movement.
