  • 국내외 도로조명 설계기법을 조사, 분석한 것을 바탕으로 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교 검토하였다. 그 결과 평균조도값은 설계와 큰 차이를 가지고 있지 않았지만 지그제그 배열일 경우 종합균제도 및 차선축균제도가 규정에 만족시기지 못하였다.

  • 최근 차별화된 도시 이미지의 창출전략으로 도시 야간경관의 중요성이 강조되고 다양한 도로의 환경조건에 따른 광원이 새롭게 개발되고 있다. 현재 적용되고 있는 도로조명의 기준을 살펴보고 광원별 배광특성을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 도로조명의 효율적 설치 및 운영을 위한 정보를 제공하고자 한다.

  • In recently, a growing concern for the health of urban residents increased interests in a variety of outdoor activities simply be done in terms of cost and time. They are specially interested in low-impact and safe exercises around residential or working area. Walking is the one of easily doing exercise in daytime or nighttime near residential area. The sidewalks of boulevard near the residential area is the best place for exercise because of easy access and the green space with roadside trees. However, if the nighttime is not guaranteed the proper lighting condition, the possibility of exposure to crime and the threat to pedestrian safety can be increased. Because roadside trees are one of the potential obstacle for lighting condition, supplementary lightings are important to mitigate interruption for safety. To meet such a need, the purpose of this study is to propose a simulation approach which improves lighting condition on sidewalks of boulevard with variety of roadside trees. To do so, the simulation approach is applied for analyzing the interrupted condition by classified five standard types of roadside trees considering the growth of them and finding optimal layout of supplementary luminaires by lighting types. The results of this approach shows that it is useful for assessing the safety of pedestrian in nighttime.

  • According to introduce KTX in Korea, rail-road bridge section of KTX was increased approximately 50% of the total length. Bridge is required periodic inspection and check to prevent accident and hazard because various damage which have effects on traffic and replacement of damaged parts is difficult. Specifically, the train as large-scale transportation because accidents led to great damage, preventing these accidents are critical. Well-organized management and maintenance systems are required to prevent the accidents. In the case of roadway bridge, bridge inspection vehicle is used to deploy inspectors in roadway bridge. However, this method requires a lot of time and efforts, and inspectors are exposed to potential hazard. Also, surrounding environment like poor lighting system or electric wire could harm the inspector while repairing. Due to this reason, automatic repairing and inspecting system have been introduced to replace the old methods. Management system of the railroad bridge track for trains uses various advanced equipments, but whereas roadway bridge management system is lacking these efforts. As a result of that, this study looks over the existing management method. and review the method to apply the Bridge Inspection Robot in railroad bridge. Moreover, this study suggests future management technology using inspection robot.

화이트홀 현상이 있는 터널출구에서 운전자 시인도 향상을 위한 프로빔조명에 대한 시뮬레이션 연구 (A simulation analysis on the probeam lighting for the visibility at a tunnel with whitehole phenomenon)

  • 현대 도로에서 터널의 중요성은 점차 증가하고 있다. 터널을 통과하는 운전자는 터널 외부환경과 내부환경의 차이에서 오는 변화에 많은 어려움을 가지게 된다. 주간에 터널 출구부를 지나는 운전자는 터널 출구의 높은 야외휘도로 인하여 화이트홀 현상을 겪게 되며, 이는 심각한 운전자의 시인도의 감소를 가져오게 된다. 본 논문에서는 운전자가 겪는 화이트홀 현상에 대처하기 위한 방법의 하나인 프로빔조명의 효과를 검정하기 위하여 실제와 유사한 상황을 컴퓨터에 구현하여 시뮬레이션 하였다. 터널의 조명을 설계함에 있어 특정 터널이 가지고 있는 제반 요소들을 고려한 다양한 상황에서의 운전자 시인도를 분석하고 보다 좋은 운전환경을 위한 터널조명을 만들기 위한 노력이 필요하다. 본 연구에서의 시뮬레이션에 의한 분석은 터널조명 초기 설계단계에서 비교적 단기간에 다양한 조명대안들에 대한 비교, 분석을 가능하게 하는 하나의 접근법이 될 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 도로조명 요건을 고려하여 필요한 배광을 설정하고, 광원 중심의 기하학적 위치, 점등자세와 광원의 크기 등의 광학적인 설계에 필요한 다양한 조건들과 광학설계 방법을 이용하여 350W PLS 가로등용 Compact Reflector 형상을 설계하였다.

지역거점으로서의 캠퍼스 외부공간 디자인 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Campus Outdoor Spaces as a Regional Hub)

  • The campus outdoor space in each city is a very important space for students and local residents. Especially, for students, indoor space such as classroom is the main place to learn knowledge. But the outdoor space provides an opportunity to interact with people in other sectors and it also gives an opportunity that can make students sense the flow of the times. Moreover, students have the opportunity to integrate knowledge of the other fields in the outdoor space. The campus also provides an important resting place for residents. Therefore the campus should be convenient for both local residents and students, and should be designed to let students and local residents communicate with each other in outdoor space. This study attempts to identify the problems of the outdoor space in such a point. The high scores of campus evaluation indexes are as follows: First, the lighting in the favorite space and installing seats in a green space of the vestibule get the highest score. Also, separation of a sidewalk and a roadway, the ease of holding events, simple food and beverage near the entrance, the interacting place of people, the resting place near the porch in cold winter, the lighting in a bus stop and parking lot also get good evaluations.

  • Typical highway infrastructure systems include roadway pavement, drainage systems, tunneling, and other hardware components such as guardrails, traffic signs, and lighting. Tunnels in a highway system have provided significant advantages to overcoming various natural challenges including crossing underneath bodies of water or through mountainous areas. While only a few tunnel failure cases have been reported, the failure rate is likely to increase as these assets age and because agencies have not emphasized tunneling asset management. A tunnel system undergoes a deterioration life cycle pattern that is similar to other infrastructure systems. There are very few agencies in the United States implementing comprehensive tunnel asset management programs. While current tunnel asset management programs focus on inspection, maintenance, and operation safety, there is an increasing need for the development of a comprehensive life cycle tunnel asset management program. This paper describes a conceptual framework for a comprehensive tunnel asset management program. The framework consists of three basic phases including a strategic plan, a tactical plan, and an operational plan to provide better information to the decision makers. The strategic plan is a basic long term approach of tunnel asset management. The tactical plan determines specific objectives and the operational plan actually applies asset management objectives in practice. The information includes operational condition, structural condition, efficiency of the system, emergency response, and life cycle cost analysis for tunnel capital improvement project planning.

토지이용과 차종에 근거한 원형교차로 사고분석 및 논의 (Accident Analysis and Discussion of Circular Intersections based on Land Use and Vehicle Type)

  • PURPOSES : This study aimed to analyze traffic accidents at circular intersections, and discuss accident reduction strategies based on land use and vehicle type. METHODS : Traffic accident data from 2010 to 2014 were collected from the "traffic accident analysis system" (TAAS) data set of the Road Traffic Authority. To develop the accident rate model, a multiple linear regression model was used. Explanatory variables such as geometry and traffic volume were used to develop the models. RESULTS : The main results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that the null hypotheses that land use and vehicle type do not affect the accident rate should be rejected. Second, 16 accident rate models, which are statistically significant (with high $R^2$ values), were developed. Finally, the area of the central island, number of speed humps, entry lane width, circulatory roadway width, bus stops, and pedestrian crossings were analyzed to determine their effect on accidents according to the type of land use and vehicle. CONCLUSIONS : Through the developed accident rate models, it was revealed that the accident factors at circular intersections changed depending on land use and vehicle type. Thus, selecting the appropriate location of bus stops for trucks, widening entry lanes for cars, and installing splitter islands and optimal lighting for motorcycles were determined to be important for reducing the accident rate. Additionally, the evaluation showed that commercial and mixed land use had a weaker effect on accidents than residential land use.

지방부 신호교차로 안전성 판단을 위한 사고예측모형 개발 (Development of Traffic Accident Frequency Model for Evaluating Safety at Rural Signalized Intersections)

  • 일반도로구간에서의 사고발생건수는 2000년부터 2006년까지 감소추세를 보이는 반면 교차로에서의 교통사고건수는 현재까지 꾸준하게 증가하고 있기 때문에 교차로에서의 안전성을 증대시키기 위한 노력이 절실히 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 신호교차로에서의 도로조건, 교통조건, 교통운영상의 조건 등을 분석하여 교차로의 설계 안전성을 저해시키는 요인들을 찾아내고, 그 요인들과 사고와의 상관관계를 이용하여 지방부 4지 신호교차로의 안전성 판단을 위한 사고예측모형을 개발하고자 한다. 또한 사전에 위험요소를 제거하여 교차로에서의 안전성 평가를 위한 가이드라인을 제시함으로써, 교차로에서의 안전성을 높이는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 교차로에서의 사고분석을 위하여 비선형 회귀분석을 통해 사고모형을 개발하였고, 이러한 모형들을 이용하여 차대차 사고에 영향을 미치는 주요 설명변수들에 대한 분석을 시도하였다. 모형분석결과, 포아송회귀분석(Poisson Regression)이 모형개발에 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났으며, 사고에 영향을 미치는 변수로는 좌회전 전용차로, 횡단보도, 제한속도, 조명시설, 교차각, ADT 등으로 분석되었다.
