보행안전을 위한 교통정온화(Traffic Calming) 계획지표의 중요도 분석 - 물리적인 측면을 중심으로 - (An Analysis on the Importance of Planning Indicator of Traffic Calming Technique for Walk Safety - Focusing on Physical Side -)

  • 본 연구는 교통정온화(Traffic Calming)기법 적용시 고려되어야 할 계획지표들을 도출하고 이를 토대로 교통정온화 기법 계획시 가장 고려되어야 할 지표들을 AHP분석을 통하여 중요도를 분석하고자 하였다. 계획지표에서의 결과는 도로구간과 교차점구간으로 나누어 요약할 수 있다. 도로구간에서는 감속자극장치의 경우 험프(0.35), 시각제어 장치에서는 이미지험프/폴트(0.31), 시케인에서는 슬라럼형도로(0.52), 통과경로의 차단에서는 볼라드(0.47)가 가장 계획시 중요하고 우선시 되는 것으로 나타났다. 교차점 구간에서는 시각제어장치의 경우 신호 표지(0.33), 감속 자극장치에서는 교차로올림(0.44), 시케인에서는 지그재그형 도로(0.65), 통과경로의 차단에서는 교차점의 직진차단(0.45)이 가장 계획시 중요하고 우선시 되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 교통정온화 기법을 적용시 또는 정책수립시 기초적인 자료로 활용 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

G.I.S를 이용한 노선주위의 경관해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Landscape Analysis of Rode Using GIS)

  • 도시의 발달로 도시 외곽 도로의 산지를 통과하는 도로의 건설이 요구되지만 그 계획을 실행함에 있어서 많은 문제점들이 있다. 이것은 도로계획시 노선의 위치를 결정하는데 있어서 토공작업을 예측하고, 경관을 식별하여, 식생 및 토지이용 관계를 해석하므로 계획과 실행에서 도움을 주는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 36km에 달하는 광주 외곽을 순회하는 도시고속순환도로 중 제 1구간인 동광주 I.C 에서 소태 I.C까지의 노선의 일부 5Km를 연구 대상으로 결정하여 G.I.S에 의해 해석하였다. 그리고 설계도의 계획고와 같은 자료를 이용하여 조망 위치에 따라 달라지는 경관을 구간별로 도시하였으며, 광주의 명소인 무등산 주위를 순환하는 본 연구지를 G.I.S기법을 이용하여 지형경관을 해석하여 결론을 얻었다

A Competition-based Algorithm for Routing Discovery and Repair in Large-scale VANET

  • Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) in the large-scale road section usually have typical characteristics of large number of vehicles and unevenly distribution over geographic spaces. These two inherent characteristics lead to the unsatisfactory performance of VANETs. This poor performance is mainly due to fragile communication link and low dissemination efficiency. We propose a novel routing mechanism to address the issue in the paper, which includes a competition-based routing discovery with priority metrics and a local routing repair strategy. In the routing discovery stage, the algorithm uses adaptive scheme to select a stable route by the priorities of routing metrics, which are the length of each hop, as well as the residual lifetime of each link. Comparisons of different ratios over link length and link stability further show outstanding improvements. In the routing repair process, upstream and downstream nodes also compete for the right to establish repair process and to remain as a member of the active route after repair. Our simulation results confirm the improved performance of the proposed algorithm.

  • 자율주행차량의 기술과 수준이 발전하고 보다 다양한 도로 환경에서 주행함에 따라 차량이 직면한 상황을 해결하고 대응하기 위한 직관적이고 효율적인 상호작용 시스템이 필요하다. 자율주행의 관점에서의 주행 기술 개발은 사람 혹은 그 이상의 상황을 대응하기 위한 궁극적인 목표를 가지고 있다. 특히, 복잡하고 상호 양보해야 하는 도로환경에서는 차량 간 혹은 보행자와 차량 간의 서로의 상황을 이해할 수 있는 효율적인 의사소통에 대한 방법을 통해 유연한 대처가 가능한 시스템의 역할이 중요하다. 차량의 상태 혹은 직면한 상황을 해결하기 위해서는 정보의 제공과 방법이 직관적이고 의도에 대한 상호 작용을 통해 효율적인 자율주행 차량을 운영해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 리빙랩에 주행하는 자율주행차량이 다양하고 복잡한 환경에서 안정적이고 효율적인 주행을 하기 위해 차량이 처한 상황에 대한 정보를 표출할 수 있는 차량 구조와 그 기능을 설명한다.

A formal representation of data exchange for slope stability analysis of smart road design and construction

  • The Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) provides standardized product models for the building construction domain. However, the current IFC schema has limited representation for infrastructure. Several studies have examined the data schema for road and highway modeling, but not in a sufficiently comprehensive and robust manner to facilitate the overall integrated project delivery of road projects. Several discussions have focused on slope engineering for road projects, but no solution has been provided regarding the formalized parametric modeling up to now. Iterative design, analysis, and modification are observed during the process of slope design for road projects. The practitioners need to carry out the stability analysis to consider different road design alternatives, including horizontal, vertical, and cross-section designs. The procedure is neither formalized nor automated. Thus, there is a need to develop the formal representation of the product and process of slope analysis for road design. The objective of this research is to develop a formal representation (i.e., an IFC extension data schema) for slope analysis. It consists of comprehensive information required for slope analysis in a structured manner. The deliverable of this study contributes to both the formal representation of infrastructure development and, further, the automated process of slope design for road projects.

차선 유실구간 측위를 위한 레이저 스캐너 기반 고정 장애물 탐지 알고리즘 개발 (Laser Scanner based Static Obstacle Detection Algorithm for Vehicle Localization on Lane Lost Section)

  • This paper presents the development of laser scanner based static obstacle detection algorithm for vehicle localization on lane lost section. On urban autonomous driving, vehicle localization is based on lane information, GPS and digital map is required to ensure. However, in actual urban roads, the lane data may not come in due to traffic jams, intersections, weather conditions, faint lanes and so on. For lane lost section, lane based localization is limited or impossible. The proposed algorithm is designed to determine the lane existence by using reliability of front vision data and can be utilized on lane lost section. For the localization, the laser scanner is used to distinguish the static object through estimation and fusion process based on the speed information on radar data. Then, the laser scanner data are clustered to determine if the object is a static obstacle such as a fence, pole, curb and traffic light. The road boundary is extracted and localization is performed to determine the location of the ego vehicle by comparing with digital map by detection algorithm. It is shown that the localization using the proposed algorithm can contribute effectively to safe autonomous driving.

China's Digital Silk Road in Southeast Asia and Vietnam's Responses from 2015 to 2021

  • China launched the Digital Silk Road (DSR) in 2015 as part of the existing Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to expand its influence in digital and technological development across Asia, Europe, and Africa. Southeast Asia is one of the key targets of the Digital Silk Road due to its geographical proximity to China and the rapid growth of the digital sphere. Although the DSR opens several potential opportunities for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states to foster the digitalization process in the region, how each country reacts to projects under the DSR is varied. Secondly, Vietnam is the only ASEAN member state that has not signed any official agreement under the BRI framework, and thirdly, Vietnam opted out of Huawei technology. This paper aims to understand the perspective of Vietnam and how Vietnam has responded to the growing technological presence of China in Southeast Asia until 2021. By using qualitative methods, the author argues that the DSR has allowed Beijing to overcome the limitations of the original strategy, BRI, and strengthen its influence in the field of information and communication technologies, particularly fifth-generation (5G) telecommunications. Furthermore, the paper examines Vietnam's digital development and digital diplomacy and how the Vietnamese government has responded to DSR projects. In light of both the potential threats and economic benefits that the DSR has brought to Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries, in the last section, the policy implications for cooperation are discussed.

도로교설계기준 한계상태설계법을 적용한 RC슬래브교의 상대 안전도 평가 (Evaluation for Relative Safety of RC Slab Bridge of Applying Limit State Design Code on Korean Highway Bridge)

  • This paper is intended to provide the background information and justification for Korean highway bridge design code(limit state design)(2012). Limit state design method calculates reliability index and probability of failure through the analysis of the reliability of the experimental database. It has become possible to perform the economical and consistent design by evaluating the safety of a structure quantitatively. In this paper, we used the design specifications of RC slab bridge of superstructure form of Road Design Manual in Part 5 bridge built in highway bridge. This study conducted structural analysis using the method of frame structure theory, design and analysis of bridge by limit state design method, the design code including various standards and Load model applied Korean highway bridge design code limit state design(KHBDC;2012). As a result, it analyzed the effect of safety through comparison. Showing effect of improvement the safety factor and comparing the value of the result, it is determined to be capable of economical design and safety. Furthermore, limit state design method was able to determine many redundant force of cross-section compared with existing design method. It is determined that it can reduce the overall amount because of the reduction of the cross-section and girder depth.

RWIS 설치를 위한 우선순위 선정 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study of Determining Priorities of RWIS Installation)

  • PURPOSES : This paper presents how to determine priorities of RWIS installation on national highways within the limited budget. METHODS : Analytical hierarchy process was employed to develop the entire methodology. In addition to this, various data such as vulnerable roadway section for snow removal, RWIS, AWS, AADT, and traffic accident were properly collected and analyzed for the future analysis. Then, GIS analysis was performed to find out the final candidate vulnerable roadway section for snow removal. In the end, expert survey was conducted to estimate weights for evaluation criteria. RESULTS : Results showed that metropolitan area has the most high priority, and Gangwon area, ChungCheung, and Honam in order. CONCLUSIONS : The main contribution of this paper is to suggest a logical methodology to prioritize RWIS installation within the limited budget, and thus snow removal operation during the winter season can improve in terms of getting more valuable information.

평면곡선과 종단곡선이 겹친 복합선형 구간에서 교통사고 특성분석 (Analysis of Traffic Accident Characteristics for the Overlap Section of Horizontal and Vertical Alignment)

  • 본 연구는 평면선형과 종단선형이 겹친 복합선형 구간에서 복합선형요소와 교통사고와의 특성을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 이를 위해 설계속도 및 제한속도가 100km/h인 4차로 고속도로 중 평면곡선부를 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 기하구조자료는 한국도로공사 "지리도형정보시스템" 자료를 이용하였고 교통사고자료는 "고속도로 교통사고 통계' 자료를 활용하였다. 분석결과, 종단곡선이 없는 경우가 종단곡선이 있는 경우보다 사고율이 높게 나타났으며, 종단곡선이 1개인 경우가 종단곡선이 2개 이상인 경우보다 사고율이 높게 나타났다. 종단곡선이 1개인 경우, 오목종단곡선(SAG) 구간이 볼록종단곡선(CREST) 구간보다 사고율이 높게 나타났으며, 평면곡선부 이전 선형이 직선부인 경우가 곡선부인 경우보다 사고율이 높게 나타났다. 특히 노면상태가 습기(강우)일 때에는 평면곡선내 오목종단곡선인 경우이거나 평면곡선방향이 좌향구간의 경우 교통사고와 관련성이 높음을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 도로의 안전성을 높이기 위해 3차원적인 복합선형 조건을 고려한 도로 선형 설계의 중요성을 제시하였다는 점에서 의미가 있을 것이다.
