주행차량의 공기역학적 주행안전성 평가를 위한 알고리즘 개발연구 (Development of a Numerical Algorithm for the Evaluation of Aerodynamic Driving Stability of a Vehicle)

  • The objective of vehicle aerodynamic design is on the fuel economy, reduction of the harmful emission, minimizing the vibration and noise and the driving stability of the vehicle. Especially for a sedan, the driving stability of the vehicle is the main concern of the aerodynamic design of the vehicle indeed. In this theoretical study, an evaluation algorithm of aerodynamic driving stability of a vehicle was made to estimate the dynamic stability of a vehicle at the given driving condition on a road. For the stability evaluation of a driving vehicle, CFD simulation was conducted to have the rolling, pitching and yawing moments of a model vehicle and compared the values of the moments to the resistance moments. From the case study, it is found that a model sedan running at 100 km/h in speed on a straight level road is stable under the side wind with 45 m/s in speed. But the different results may be obtained on the buses and trucks because those vehicles have the wide side area. From the case study of the model vehicle moving on 100 km/h speed with 15 m/s side wind is evaluated using the numerical algorithm drawn from the study, the value of yawing moment is $608.6N{\cdot}m$, rolling moment $-641N{\cdot}m$ and pitching moment $3.9N{\cdot}m$. These values are smaller than each value of rotational resistance moment the model vehicle has, and therefore, the model vehicle's driving stability is guaranteed when driving 100 km/h with 15 m/s side wind.

  • In this paper a platoon merging control system is considered as a remotely located system with state represented by a stochastic process. in the system it is common to encounter situations where a single decision maker controls a large number of subsystems and observation and control signals are sent over a communication channel with finite capacity and significant transmission delays. Unlike a classical estimation problem where the observation is a continuous process corrupted by additive noise there is a constraint that the observation must be coded and transmitted over a digital communication channel with fintie capacity. A recursive coder-estimator sequence is a state estimation scheme based on observations transmitted with finite communication capacity constraint. in this paper we introduce a stochastic model for the lead vehicle in a platoon of vehicles in a lane considering the angle between the road surface and a horizontal plane as a stochastic process. In order to merge two platoons the lead vehicle of the following platoon is controlled by a remote control station. Using the observation transmitted over communication channel the remote control station designs the feedback controller. The simulation results show that the intervehicle spacings and the deviations from the desired intervehicle spacing are well regulated.

A wireless sensor with data-fusion algorithm for structural tilt measurement

  • Tilt is a key indicator of structural safety. Real-time monitoring of tilt responses helps to evaluate structural condition, enable cost-effective maintenance, and enhance lifetime resilience. This paper presents a prototype wireless sensing system for structural tilt measurement. Long range (LoRa) technology is adopted by the sensing system to offer long-range wireless communication with low power consumption. The sensor integrates a gyroscope and an accelerometer as the sensing module. Although tilt can be estimated from the gyroscope or the accelerometer measurements, these estimates suffer from either drift issue or high noise. To address this challenging issue and obtain more reliable tilt results, two sensor fusion algorithms, the complementary filter and the Kalman filter, are investigated to fully exploit the advantages of both gyroscope and accelerometer measurements. Numerical simulation is carried out to validate and compare the sensor fusion algorithms. Laboratory experiment is conducted on a simply supported beam under moving vehicle load to further investigate the performance of the proposed wireless tilt sensing system.

최소자승법과 Kalman Filter를 이용한 AUV 의 DGPS 기반 Localization 의 위치 오차 감소 (Reduction of Relative Position Error for DGPS Based Localization of AUV using LSM and Kalman Filter)

  • It is generally important to get a precise position information for autonomous unmanned vehicle(AUV) to run safely. For getting the position of AUV, the GPS has been using to navigation in a vehicle. Though it is useful to finding a position, it is difficult to precisely control a trajectory of the AUV due to large measuring error which may reach over 10 meters. Therefore to apply AUV it needs to compensate for the error. This paper proposes a method to more precisely localize AUV using three low-cost differential global positioning systems (DGPS). The distance errors between each DGPS are minimized as using the least square method (LSM) and the Kalman filter to eliminate a Gaussian white noise. The selected DGPS is cheaper and easier to set up than the RTK-GPS. It is also more precise than the general GPS. The proposed method can compensate the relatively position error according to stationary and moving distance of the AUV. For evaluating the algorithm by simulation, the DGPS signal with the Gaussian white noise to any points is generated by the AR model and compared with the measurement signal. It is confirmed that the proposed method can effectively compensate the position error as comparing with the measurement signal. The compensated position signal can be used to localize and control the AUV in the road.

  • The train transportation has a lot of advantages-energy efficiency is high, it is eco-friendly, safety is better than normal roads and it is possible for people to arrive on time. In these days, the valuation of ride comfort, which is only limited to road transportation, is newly recognized in order to having competitiveness from other transportation. Especially, in the development of the Korean high-speed railroad business, the ride comfort enhancement of train is very important problem to be solved. Currently, there are international standards of ride comfort such as UIC13, ISO2631. In Korea case, although it has own standard like KS R9216, it mainly depends on the physical parameter such as vibration and noise. So recently, in the valuation of ride comfort, the movements of living parameter technique introduction are increasing on the base of Japan and many developed countries of Europe techniques. Presently, the method of train ride comfort is mainly based of vibration, that is, mechanical parameter adding selection of variable acceleration and noise. This paper would like to show biological parameter; heart rate and blood pressure variation. This method is more direct, based on human body response, than mechanical parameter method. In this experiment, the variability of heart rate and blood pressure of passengers according to tilting angle change of Train, the Korean tilting train, we are supposed to know that the extent of tilting on the simulation has influence on variability of heart rate and blood pressure, which are living parameter of heart's blood.

설치환경 및 조건에 따른 양면수광형 태양광발전시스템의 기초 특성 연구 (A Preliminary Research of the Bifacial PV System Under Installation Conditions)

  • Nowadays the bifacial PV system market and its applications are increasing rapidly. The performance of the bifacial PV system take advantage of its rear surface irradiance. Also, the ground albedo, PV module tilt and azimuth, PV module installation height, shading effect and module temperature are factors of bifacial PV system performance. This paper investigates how the performance of bifacial PV system is influenced by above factors. First, we analyzed the energy yield depending on PV module installation by simulation. Secondly, we compare energy performance evaluation of monofacial and bifacial module on different weather condition by experiment. Thirdly, we tested the albedo effect and checked operating characteristics using Dupont Tyvek material for the bifacial PV module. Fourthly, we check the shading effect of bifacial PV module on bypass diode operating. Finally, we applied the bifacial PV module in the nearby subway station for the noise reduction barrier using a qualified simulation program. In summary, we confirm that the energy performance superiority of the bifacial PV module has a lot of application use including road. Also, we have confirmed the bifacial module and inverter design should be considered by rear surface irradiance.

개비온 끝단 소둔선 결합용 이송 가이드 장치 개발 연구 (Development of Transportational Guide System for Joining Small Wire with Gabion)

  • 개비온은 일반적으로 도로 유실 방지나 사방공사용으로 사용된다. 그러나 개비온의 끝단과 소둔선의 결합은 수동 작업으로 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 개비온 끝단을 소둔선과 자동으로 결합하기 위한 자동 이송 가이드 장치를 개발하고 이를 시험하였다. 자동 이송 가이드 장치는 공압 회로를 이용하여 설계하고 실린더의 이송 변위를 시뮬레이션 하였다. 이송 가이드 장치는 주로 3/2 방향 수동제어밸브와 5/2 방향 수동제어밸브 그리고 8개의 복동 실린더를 사용하였고 공압 회로를 완성하여 실제 제작하였다. 이송 장치의 한 사이클 작동시간은 46.48초로 계측되었고 가이드 장치의 작동으로 인한 작업장내의 추가적인 환경소음진동의 유발은 없는 것으로 나타나 제작된 장치가 설계사양을 만족함을 검증하였다. 본 결과는 2006년도에 특허출원 되었다.

VANET과 IP 게이트웨이에 기반한 긴급메시지의 효율적 방송 방법 (Efficient Broadcasting Scheme of Emergency Message based on VANET and IP Gateway)

  • VANET에서 차량은 사고나 예기치 못한 긴급 상황에 관한 정보를 감지하고 이 정보를 뒤따르는 차량들에게 전파함과 동시에 서버에 전달한다. 하지만 긴급메시지의 전파는 방송 전송 방식을 취하게 되고 방송메시지의 다량 발생 즉, 폭풍 현상을 유발하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결코자 전파전달범위내에서 가장 먼 곳에 위한 차량을 선출하는 방법을 사용하고 특히, 수신 패킷의 SNR에 따른 송신자와의 상대적 위치를 이용한 SNR 기반 백오프 방법을 검토한다. 상대적 위치를 통해 송신자에서 가장 멀리 떨어진 노드가 상재적으로 짧은 백오프 시간을 갖고 전달 과정에 참여케 됨으로써 다른 노드들은 이를 엿듣게 되어 전달자 임무를 포기하게 된다. NS-3 VANET 시뮬레이션 환경을 구축하여 WiFi-IP 게이트웨이 기반 서비스 네트워크에 대해서 SNR 기반 백오프 방식을 포함한 긴급 메시지 전송방식들을 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 다른 일반 방송 방식에 비해 SNR 기반 백오프 방식이 1/20 정도 전송횟수의 감소를 보이면서도 최적의 전파지연시간과 홉 수를 통해 긴급메시지 전파능력을 보여준다.

V2I 통신 시스템에서 ADPSS 채널 보간과 예측 기법 (ADPSS Channel Interpolation and Prediction Scheme in V2I Communication System)

  • V2I(Vehicle to Infrastructure) 통신은 ITS(Intelligent Transportation Systems)와 텔레매틱스 서비스를 제공하기 위한 차량과 노변 기지국간 통신 기술을 말한다. 차량은 Probe data를 기지국을 통하여 수집하며, 기지국은 도로 상태나 교통 정보를 차량에 제공한다. 이러한 V2I 통신 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 신뢰성 있으며 높은 전송률을 달성할 수 있는 링크 적응 기법이 필요하다. 수신단은 추정한 CSI(Channel State Information)를 송신단으로 피드백하며 송신단은 이 정보를 이용하여 링크 적응을 한다. 그러나 차량 속도에 의한 채널의 빠른 변화와 계층 간 처리 지연 시간으로 인해 추정한 CSI는 outdated되게 된다. 이를 위해, V2I 통신 시스템에서 링크 적응을 위한 채널 보간과 예측 기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 ADPSS(Advanced Discrete Prolate Spheroidal Sequence) 채널 보간과 예측 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 기법은 정규 직교 기저를 만들고 상관 행렬을 이용하여 채널 보간과 예측을 한다. 또한, 주파수 도메인에서 잡음 제거를 위해 스무딩을 한다. 모의실험 결과, 기존 기법과 비교했을 때 제안한 기법이 차량의 높은 속도와 낮은 속도를 가지는 고속도로와 도심지에서 성능이 향상된 것을 볼 수 있다.
