서울 입정동 일대 도시조직의 적응 유형 (Adaptation Types of Urban Tissue in Ipjeong-dong Area, Seoul)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine adaptation types of urban tissue in Ipjeong-dong area, Seoul. Ipjeong-dong area has urban tissue those were made during Joseon dynasty and this is remaining even in the present time. This area was originally urban hanok residential districts till late 1950s. However, it has changed into machinery manufacture business area after demolition of Cheonggyechon shantytown. After several workshops and stores moved in this area, manufacturer and merchants required for more spaces due to lack of room for machinery. To place more workshops in the block, lot alteration were happened and accessibility to workshops inside the block were required. Adaptive road network which is main form of adaptative urban tissue were made to adapt in this kind of poor urban condition. To research about adaptive urban tissue making, distribution were explored and comparison tasks between various cadastral map of 1940, 1964, 1970s and 2017 were conducted. From these tasks, certain types of adaptive urban tissues and characteristics of these elements were found. First of all, forms of adaptive road depend on the surrounded environment. Connecting internal building corridor with original road system is categorized as Type A. Altering a portion of the buildings to make adaptive roads is categorized as Type B. Second, there were two types of formation of adaptive road. Type 1 is for adaptive road which is independent gesture from original road network. Type 2 is for adaptive road which is altering the form of original road network by lengthening or connecting two different dead-end roads.

도로시설물의 색깔 및 기상 환경에 따른 LiDAR의 성능변화 연구 (A Study of LiDAR's Performance Change by Road Sign's Color and Climate)

  • 본 연구는 자율협력주행차량의 협력 인프라 중 하나인 도로표지판을 대상으로 LiDAR의 검지성능 변화를 알아보았다. 이를 위해서 색깔과 재질이 다른 도로표지판을 제작하여 실제도로 환경에서 강우량을 통제한 테스트를 수행하였다. 성능지표는 NPC와 Intensity로 선정하였고, 집단간의 비교는 T-Test를 활용하였다. 연구결과, 모든 재질에서 강수량이 증가할수록 LiDAR의 성능지표가 감소되는 결과가 관측되었다. 재귀반사지는 강수량 증가에 따른 성능지표 감소가 페인트 도색에 비해선 작았지만, 이 역시 40mm이상의 강수량에서는 데이터의 관측이 되지 않을 정도로 성능이 저하되었다. 검은색 페인트는 맑은 날에도 다른 색들에 비하여 성능지표가 낮았으며 특히, 백색의 재귀반사지는 성능지표가 강수량 증가에 가장 민감하게 저하되었다. 이러한 성능검증 결과는 향후 센서의 시인성을 제고하는 도로시설물 제작에 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • 도로 위 공공 정보를 안내하는 표지판은 짧은 시간 내에 의사결정을 내릴 수 있도록 도와야 하므로 해당 지점에서 적합한 정보를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있어야 한다. 현재 법령에 의해 개정된 도로표지규칙은 도로명 주소를 기반으로 하려 기존의 도로표지판과 비교할 때 정보의 종류, 표현 방법, 표현 비중 등에서 크게 달라진 모습을 보여주고 있다. 본 연구는 도로명을 기준으로 달라진 개정된 도로표지판이 실제 지각-인지-이해-투영의 인지적인 관점에서 효과적인지를 분석하고 실제 주행하는 환경과 적합한 정보를 제공하고 있는지 검토하였다. 분석한 정보를 기반으로 개선된 디자인을 제시하고, 기존의 도로명 위주의 표지판과 비교하여 시인성 정도를 평가하는 실험을 진행하고 표지판 내용의 적합성에 대한 정성적 조사를 진행하였다. 이를 통해 보다 적합한 주행 정보와 직관적인 시인성을 높이는 방안을 검토할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

도로 노면결빙 판정 알고리즘 연구와 알고리즘을 활용한 도로 결빙 적중률 연구 (A study on road ice prediction algorithm model and road ice prediction rate using algorithm model)

  • 본 연구는 도로 노면결빙 판정 알고리즘에 대해 알고리즘을 개선하고 실제 현장 측정 자료와 알고리즘 예측값을 비교하였을 때 알고리즘에 대한 적중률을 분석하였다. 분석을 위하여 포천시 신북면 금동리의 도로 및 기상을 측정하였다. 알고리즘은 기존 도로 결빙 알고리즘을 선정하여 실제 결빙 조건 및 측정 수치에 맞춰 4차 알고리즘까지 개선하였다. 최종적으로 응결에 의한 결빙, 강수에 의한 결빙, 적설에 의한 결빙, 결빙상태의 지속, 풍속에 의한 결빙 5개의 알고리즘을 제작하였다. 포천 현장에서 알고리즘을 활용하여 예측할 경우 경우 결빙 적중률이 93.22%까지 개선되었다. 결빙 알고리즘에 대한 조합 비율에 대해 도출하였을 때 응결에 의한 결빙과 결빙상태의 지속에 대한 알고리즘이 96%를 차지하였다.

  • 1990년대 개발되어 현재의 모습을 갖춘 교통신호제어기는 최근 도로 이용자의 교통안전 향상 및 자율협력주행 등을 목적으로 설치되는 다양한 장치들에 대한 전원공급 문제와 다양한 통신방식, 계층화된 블랙박스 구조 등으로 인해 유연성과 확장성에 한계를 가지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이더넷전원장치(PoE : Power over Ethernet) 기술을 통해 직류(DC) 전원 사용과 전원공급 문제를 해결하고, 메시지 브로커(Message Broker) 기술을 통해 중앙화된 데이터 기반 제어를 함으로써 빠르게 변화하는 미래 교통환경에 대응이 가능한 교통안전시설 통합관제시스템을 설계하였다. 또한 시계열 데이터를 기반으로 동작하는 교통안전시설 장치를 위한 데이터 기반 실시간 제어 방안을 구현하고 검증하였다.

제설제가 환경에 미치는 영향 연구 (A study of effects on environment from road deicings)

  • Deicers have used for melting snow on the road during winter season, but they have largely influenced on environment and public assets and human health. The pollution level of snow and soil contained deicer was analyzed and evaluated the characteristics of deicers. The results were as follows 1. In the result of measurement of pollutants in snow contained deicer, the pH was a little higher than a comparative group and the concentration of $Cl^{-}$ ranged from 0.5% to 0.87%, and the electric conductivity ranged 12.4 to 24.6 mmho/cm. The concentration of Cd, As, and Hg was not detected, but those of Cu, Pb, Cr was higher than a comparative group. 2. In soil of the road spreaded with deicer, the pH is getting alkalized and the concentration of $Cl^{-}$ was high in January and returned the level of a comparative grout) in November by physical and chemical reaction with deicer, but the concentration of heavy metals were not connected with deicers. 3. In comparison of deicing efficiency, the concentration of $Cl^{-}$ was 3.3~5times high in spreading with deicer before snowing than after snowing. The concentration of $Cl^{-}$ in NaCl was higher than $CaCl_2$, but the deicing efficiency of Nacl was better than that of $CaCl_2$. Moreover, the new deicer have no salt, but deicing efficiency of new deicer was less than that of NaCl and $CaCl_2$.

A Computationally Inexpensive Radio Propagation Model for Vehicular Communication on Flyovers and Inside Underpasses

  • Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) utilize radio propagation models (RPMs) to predict path loss in vehicular environment. Modern urban vehicular environment contains road infrastructure units that include road tunnels, straight roads, curved roads flyovers and underpasses. Different RPMs were proposed in the past to predict path loss, but modern road infrastructure units especially flyovers and underpasses are neglected previously. Most of the existing RPMs are computationally complex and ignore some of the critical features such as impact of infrastructure units on the signal propagation and the effect of both static and moving radio obstacles on signal attenuation. Therefore, the existing RPMs are incapable of predicting path loss in flyovers and underpass accurately. This paper proposes an RPM to predict path loss for vehicular communication on flyovers and inside underpasses that considers both the static and moving radio obstacles while requiring only marginal overhead. The proposed RPM is validated based upon the field measurements in 5 GHz frequency band. A close agreement is found between the measured and predicted values of path loss.

국내 최초 소형차 전용 도심지 대심도 복층터널 설계 사례 (A Case Study for the 1st Double-level Tunnel for Light vehicle in Urban Area in Korea)

  • The west express way is notorious for extremely heavy traffic area in the west of Seoul, South Korea. Hence, the city government recently initiated a new underground BTO (Build-Transfer-Operate) road project to solve traffic congestion and a high construction cost. The proposed underground express road being designed is the first double-level tunnel ever designed in South Korea and using Conventional tunnelling method (NATM). A total length of tunnel for light vehicles is 10.91km long including both open cut structures and concrete lining with middle-deck in bored tunnel. There are also 4 ventilation shafts for ventilation and evacuation on emergency. Many design issues had been aroused during the preliminary design phase and detail design phase is currently going on. This paper discusses design focuses including excavation methods, ground water issues, a deck slab installation, and a construction cost etc. for the double level road tunnel design of urban area.

BioPlace: A Web-Based Collaborative Environment for Effective Genome Research

  • Genome research has become very popular in most nations. In order to enhance the efficiency of collaboration among genome research groups, ways to store and share data, communicate with each other, be guided through right research strategies, and to easily use well-established databases. In addition, since techniques and softwares for genome research groups are well established, a similar research road map could commonly be applied. In this study, we developed a web-based work place for effective genome research, named 'BioPlace.' From the beginning of writing a proposal, research members can work on the same environment with convenient aid to share files or data. BioPlace provides various ways of collaboration methods among genome researchers. The BioPlace system supports two types of workplaces, namely 'Personal Workspace' and 'Team Workspace.' For each BioPlace user, a Persona] Workspace is provided, while a Team Workspace is provided for each group with the same purpose. In addition, BioPlace provides a 'General Research Road Map' for genome research, and several Korean user interfaces for BLAST, PDB, and Primer3. We expect that BioPlace may facilitate collaboration of genome research among the experienced scientists and help beginners in many different ways as well.

교통단속카메라 전·후방을 고려한 사고 저감효과 분석 -울산시 북구를 대상으로- (Analysis of Traffic Accident Reduction Effects considering Monitoring Direction of Traffic Camera)

  • PURPOSES : Traffic cameras have been installed to reduce traffic accidents. The effectiveness of traffic cameras has been proved by dozens of studies, but recently questions over its effectiveness have been raised by a series of studies. In this study, the effectiveness of traffic cameras was analyzed with a focus on different road environments. METHODS : The effectiveness of the traffic cameras was analyzed by extracting the occurence frequency before and after camera installation. The effect of reduction was analyzed comprehensively considering the installation position, monitoring direction, and surrounding environment of traffic cameras. RESULTS : The result of this study is as follows. First, the installation of cameras in an area with relatively low accidental traffic was more effective. Secondly, the effect of camera installation on car-to-pedestrian collisions was better than that of car-to-car collisions. Thirdly, accidents tended to occur more frequently when cameras were installed in front of the accident-prone owing to the negative spill-over effect. CONCLUSIONS : The result can be used to guide placement of traffic cameras. Moreover, the installation of cameras with consideration of the road environment is expected to contribute to a reduction in traffic fatalities.
