Background: Healthcare workers' attitudes toward vaccination have been widely described in the literature, but a restricted amount of studies assessed healthcare students' knowledge, attitudes, and opinions on this issue. This study aimed to estimate the influence of a degree course on knowledge and immunization behavior among healthcare students and to compare medical students with students from other health profession degree programs to identify possible differences. Methods: A multicenter, cross-sectional study was performed in 2018 in 14 Italian Universities (3,131 students were interviewed). A validated questionnaire was used to assess knowledge, attitudes, and opinions toward vaccinations, with a specific focus on influenza vaccine and attitudes toward mandatory vaccination policies. Statistical software STATA® 14 was used. Results: Significant differences were recorded between medical students and other healthcare students. The intention to get vaccinated against influenza during the next season and having been vaccinated in the previous season was higher in the medical group (p < 0.001). In the group of students of other health professions, we registered a lower probability of identifying themselves as a high-risk group for contracting infectious diseases as a consequence of their profession and health status (aOR 0.49; CI95%: 0.40-0.60) and an increased likelihood of defining their level of knowledge on vaccine-preventable diseases and related vaccinations as "insufficient/sufficient/fair" (aOR 1.31; CI95%: 1.11-1.56). Conclusions: Results show several differences between medical students and students of other health professions when it comes to vaccination knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions, as well as a general low tendency to be vaccinated against influenza.
The outbreak of COVID-19 is facing a global crisis. Therefore, this study comprehensively reviews the risk perception, tourism attitude, and tourism intention of potential tourists in the COVID-19 situation. As a research finding, three factors were derived for tourism risk perception: physical risk, social risk, and performance risk. It is verified that social risk to be a significant factors affecting tourism attitude. Also, it proved that social risk, performance risk to be important factors affecting tourism intention. A t-test was conducted to examine the implications of demographic characteristics(gender, age, job) in the study. As a result of the analysis, it was found that potential tourists in their 20's age perceived social risk as more important than other age groups. In addition, potential tourists in their 20's showed more positive tourism attitudes than other age groups. As a result of analyzing differences according to job, it was found that the student group had higher social risk, tourism attitude, and tourism intention than other occupational groups. Based on the research results, it can help derive strategies to reduce tourists' perception of risk in special situations such as COVID-19 and contribute to academia.

The purpose of this study was to assess the adolescents' perceptions of AIDS by reviewing the research findings on adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about AIDS, and to provide basic data for the development of AIDS prevention education program. Literature for the analysis was searched by using the terms 'AIDS', 'HIV', 'Adolescent', 'Student'. Finally, 17 articles from Korea and 3 from abroad were analysed. Major conclusions were as follows: 1. For the knowledge level of AIDS, most of the adolescents knew the definition, high risk group, and infection rout of AIDS. On the contrary, the knowledge level of the treatment of AIDS was low. 2. For the attitudes toward AIDS, the level of perceived severity was high. But the level of perceived susceptibility found to be low. Middle and high school students showed more positive attitudes toward AIDS patients than college students. Attitudes toward AIDS prevention education program were positive, but taking the blood test for the detection of AIDS was negative. 3. The experience rates of AIDS Education were ranged from 13.6% to 60%. Major channel for getting AIDS information were TV, newspaper and radio. The experience rates of sexual intercourse were ranged from 4% to 48.3%. The intention of using condom was 66.7%, but the rate of condom use was 38.4%. AIDS infection rates have been increasing rapidly among teens in recent years. Therefore, It is urgent to identify the determinants affecting AIDS related perception and preventive behavior, and to develop the prevention program for AIDS.
This study was conducted to verify whether gender role attitudes are related to depression in Korean older males and examine the mediating effect of family conflict coping strategies on the relationship between the two variables. In this study, The target of the study was 1,955 men aged 65 and over in the 9th wave of the Korea Welfare Panel Study (KoWePS). Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. In addition, Bootstrapping was conducted to verify the significance of the mediating effects of family conflict coping strategies. The results of this study show that patriarchal gender role attitudes of Korean older males were found to be associated with increased risk of depression. Family conflict coping strategies play a role as a mediator for the relationship between gender role attitudes and depression. Throughout the results of this study, the restructuring of gender role attitudes and the improvement of the way of coping with family conflict were suggested as measures to alleviate the depression of the older males, and academic and practical implications were discussed.
Background: The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between risk perception and attitudes and preventive behaviors among college students with poor health and safety consciousness. Methods: A survey was conducted in students at three universities in the metropolitan area from May 11 to 18, 2018. Four kinds of instruments were used for this study, questionnaires about attitudes, perception, prevention education and preventive behaviors. Results: The safety-related attitude depended on age: those aged <21 years had the best attitude. Education experience significantly affected perception. Preventive behaviors were more strongly and positively correlated with attitudes than with perception. The factor most significantly affecting preventive behaviors were attitudes to preventive health. Conclusions: To allow the students to change their awareness and behaviors related to sickness and accidents, first it is necessary to give education on a continuous basis so that they can obtain perception to cope with sickness and accidents; second, it is necessary to develop behavioral guidelines related to accidents in each area so that they can practice and make it a habit through attitudinal changes.

In these day, the environmental issues of climate change have been continuously highlighted and there is an active discussion on the transition from fossil fuel-based energy to eco-friendly energy use. This study considered psychological attitudes as a major influencing factors for successful implementation of a hydrogen society totally based on the use of hydrogen energy, which is regarded as an alternative energy for future. Accordingly, familiarity, risk perception, and acceptability of psychological factors were investigated. In addition, this study identified whether there are differences in psychological factors according to the general characteristics of gender, age, occupation, and housing type. The results showed that awareness of hydrogen cars and fuels is below the average level, and we also have obtained the implication that social knowledge sharing should precede the implementation of hydrogen policy. Although we found that the degree of urban acceptance of hydrogen energy was high, it was also confirmed that the charging infrastructure was generally perceived as having a high risk. Our findings implicate that it is necessary to figure out policy strategies for suitable locating charging infrastructure in order to promote the use of hydrogen energy more.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore nursing students' recognition and understanding of the clinical environment of high-risk neonatal nursing care after watching a documentary about the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where high-risk newborns are treated. Methods: This study was a qualitative content analysis. In total, 151 nursing students' personal essays describing their reactions to a documentary about the NICU were analyzed using the NVivo 12 program. Results: Nursing students' experiences of engaging with a documentary about the NICU were structured into four thematic categories: 'actual observations of the imagined NICU', 'observation and recognition of nursing knowledge', 'empathy with people related to the baby', and 'establishing attitudes and values as a nurse'. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that documentaries can be applied in nursing education about high-risk newborns.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of worst practice DEA, which aims at identifying worst performers by placing them on the efficient frontier. This is particularly relevant for our application to credit risk evaluation, but this also has general relevance since the worst performers are where the largest improvement potential can be found. The paper also proposes to use a layering technique instead of the traditional cut-off point approach, since this enables incorporation of risk attitudes and risk-based pricing. Finally, it is shown how the use of a combination of normal and worst practice DEA models enable detection of self-identifiers. The results of the empirical application on credit risk evaluation validate the method which is proposed in this paper.
Purpose - The purposes of this research are: (1) Building and testing a research model that integrates Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) with fear, perceived risk, and health protocols; (2) Examining the impact of compliance with health protocols on consumer behavior when offline shopping. Research design, data, and methodology - The data collection uses the self-administered survey method, and the questionnaire is distributed online. A total of 504 Indonesian population aged 18 years old or more participate in this research. Data are analyzed using factor analysis, multiple regression, and multiple regression with interaction. Result - This study reveals several findings: (1) Attitude and subjective norm have a significant effect on offline shopping behavior; (2) fear has a direct and indirect effect on offline shopping behavior; (3) the effect of perceived risk on the intensity of offline shopping is determined by compliance with health protocols. Conclusion - This paper discusses the direct influence of attitudes and subjective norms on behavior. This research also integrates fear, perceived risk, and health protocol factors in TRA, which may not have been done much, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic context.
