플라즈마 중합된 Styrene을 유기박막으로 사용한 하이브리드형 OLED 봉지기술 (Plasma-polymerized Styrene Prganic thin Film as Hybrid OLEDs Encapsulation)

  • We report thin-film organic moisture barriers based on polystyrene(PS) laminates deposition by PECVD for an encapsulation of OLEDs. The organic polystyrene thin-film has the benzene ring structure and high hydrophobic characteristics and it was polymerized by PECVD in dry process. Life time properties of Ca test were obtained 32 minutes at the RF 100W process conditions. From the AFM test, the roughness of multi-layer thin-film was more excellent rather than that of a single-layer thin-film. In addition, 5 layers of the multi-layer film properties were obtained 45 minutes. So that the optical and electrical properties were not affected with these plasma polymerized organic thin-film encapsulation. For life time improvement, the inorganic $Al_2O_3$ thin-film were deposited 5nm using ALD atomic layer deposition. The WVTR(Water Vaper Transmission Rate) value of hybrid thin-film encapsulation in the optimum process conditions was resulted by less than $10-3g/m^2/day$. From the results of experiment, plasma polymerized hybrid encapsulation was suggested as the flexible display applications.

졸-겔법을 이용하여 알콕사이드 전구체로부터 합성된 Polyimide-silica 혼성체의 특성 (Characteristics of Polyimide-silica Hybrid Materials Prepared from Alkoxide Precursor Using Sol-gel Process)

  • Polyimide와 silica에 물리적 또는 화학적으로 결합된 Polyimide/silica(PI/silica) 혼성체들을 졸-겔법을 통하여 Polyamic Acid(PAA) 또는 end-capped PAA 용액에 tetraethoxysilane을 가수 분해 및 축 중합시켜서 제조하였다. PAA 용액은 dimethylacetamide 용액 내에서 pyromellitic dianhydride와 oxydianiline 단량체들을 개환 반응으로 합성하였다. End-capped PAA 용액은 PAA 용액에 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane을 첨가하여 제조하였다. 적외선 분광기, 시차 열분석기, X-선 회절 분석기, 주사 전자현미경 및 인장 강도 시험기를 통하여 PI/silica 혼성체 시편들의 특성을 분석하였다. 혼성체 시편들의 물성은 PI와 silica간의 결합형 및 silica의 함량에 의해 영향을 받는다는 것을 확인하였다.

Identification of a Domain in Yeast Chitin Synthase 3 Required for Biogenesis of Chitin Ring, But Not Cellular Chitin Synthesis

  • It hab been proposed that CHS3-mediated chitin synthesis during the vegitative cell cycle is regulated by CHS4. To investigate direct protein-protein interaction between their coding products, we used yeast two hybrid system and found that a domain of Chs3p was responsible for interaction with Chs4p. This domain, termed MIRC3-4 (maximum interacting region of chs3p with chs4p), spans from 647 to 700 residues. It is well conserved among CHS3 homologs of various fungi such as Candida albicans, Emericella nidulans, Neurospora crassa, Magnaporthe grisea, Ustilago maydis, Glomus versiforme, Exophiala dermatitidis, Rhizopus microsporus. A series of mutaion in the MIRC3-4 resulted in no appearance of chitin ring at the early G 1 phase but did not affect chitin synthesis in the cell wall after cytokinesis. Absence of chitin ring could be caused either by delocalization of Chs3p to the septum or by improper interaction with Chs4p. To discriminate those two, not mutually exclusive, alternatives, mutants cells were immunostained with Chs3p-specific antibody. Some exhibited localization of chs3p to the septum, while others failed. These results indicate that simultaneous localization and activation Chs3p by Chs4p is required for chitin ring synthesis.

Uptake Effects of Two Electrons for Relative Stability and Atomic Structures of Carbon Cluster Isomers of C20: ab initio Methods

  • This study examined the effect of the uptake of one and two electrons on the atomic structure of three isomers of $C_{20}$ clusters, namely the ring, bowl (corannulene like), and cage (the smallest fullerene). Geometry optimizations were performed using the hybrid density functional (B3LYP) methods for neutral, singly and doubly charged $C_{20},\;{C_{20}}^-,and\;{C_{20}}^{2-}$. These results show that the symmetry of the lowest energies for ring and bowl isomers were not changed, whereas the increasing order of energy for the cage (the smallest fullerene) isomers was changed from $D_{2h}\;<\;C_{2h}\;{\leq}\;C_2\;of\;C_{20}\;through\;Ci\;<\;C_{2h}\;<\;C_2\;<\;D_{2h}\;of\;{C_{20}}^-\;to\;Ci\;<\;C_2\;<\;D_{2h}\;<\;C_{2h}\;of\;{C_{20}}^{2-}$. The reduced symmetry isomers of the cage have comparative energy and the ground state symmetry of the neutral and single and double charged $C_{20}$ decreased with increasing number of electrons taken up in the point of energetics. Interestingly, the difference in energy between the ground state and the next higher energy state of ${C_{20}}^{2-}$ was 3.5kcal/mol, which is the largest energy gap of the neutral, single anion and double anion of the cage isomers examined.

  • 2-Aminothiazole ring as a bioisoster of catechol in dopamine has provided with good oral availability and lipophilic property. 2-Aminoindan, is a rigid form of dopamine, was evaluated as a dopamine D3 agonist with low neurotoxicity. Dopamine D3 agonist was evaluated as selective for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. In order to develop a novel dopamine D3 agonist, we tried to synthesize the aminothiazoloindenoxazine derivative that is a hybrid structure of aminoindenoxazine and thiazole ring. cis-2-Amino-1-indanol (2) was synthesized from 1,2-indandione-2-oxime by catalytic hydrogenation and it was treated with chloroacetyl chloride and NaH in benzene solution to give (${\pm}$)-cis-4,4a,5,9b-tetrahydroindeno[1,2-b][1,4]oxazin-3(2H)-one (6). Nitration of 6 by the mixed acid gave 8-nitro compound (7) and the carbonyl group of 7 was reduced with $LiAlH_4$ to afford compound (8). 8 was reduced to form (${\pm}$)-cis-8-amino-2,3,4,4a,5,9b-hexahydroindeno[1,2-b][1,4]oxazine (9) and finally it was cyclized with KSCN in glacial acetic acid to yield (${\pm}$)-cis-8-amino-2,3,4,4a,5,10b-hexahydrothiazolo[4,5-f]indeno[1,2-b][1,4]oxazine (10).

소형화된 헤어핀 링 공진기를 이용한 발진기 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Implementation of the Oscillator Using a Miniaturized Hairpin Ring Resonator)

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로스트립 헤어핀 형태의 링 공진기를 이용하여 저위상 잡음을 개선한 소형화된 S 대역에 사용가능한 발진기를 설계 및 제작하였다. 기판은 고조파 특성이 우수한 유전율 ${\varepsilon}_r$=3.5 기판두께 h=20mil 금속두께 t=17um 손실 탄젠트 $tan{\delta}$=0.0025 인 TACONIC사의 RF-35를 사용하였다. 측정된 결과 발진 주파수는 2.45 GHz에서 출력전력은 20.9 dBm으로서 기존의 발진기에 비하여 상당히 높은 출력을 얻었고, 위상 잡음 특성은 100 kHz offset에서 -100.5 dBc/Hz 로서 기존의 발진기 성능과 비교하면 우수한 특성이 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 고조파 억압 특성은 32 dBc 이상으로서 우수한 특성을 갖는 발진기임을 보여주었다. 본 논문에서 제안된 발진기의 형태를 이용하여 RFIC, MIC, MMIC 형태로 제작한다면 발진기를 소형화할 수 있을 것이며, 이 제작된 발진기는 S-밴드의 주파수원으로 이용 가능할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

광대역 파장가변 이중 링 공진기 Add/Drop 필터 (Widely Tunable Double-Ring-Resonator Add/Drop Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 굴절률 차이가 큰 폴리머 광 도파로를 이용하여 광대역 파장가변이 가능한 이중 링 공진기 Add/Drop 필터를 제작하였다. Add/Drop 필터의 제작시 공정 오차에 둔감한 특성을 갖도록 광 결합기를 설계하였다. 코어와 클래딩의 굴절률은 1550 nm 파장 대역에서 각각 1.51, 1.378로 약 $100{\mu}m$ 정도의 곡률 반경을 가지는 곡선 도파로를 수용할 수 있다. 두 개의 링이 동시에 공진하는 파장 대역에서 Drop 특성은 이웃하는 피크 좌다 약 2.9 dB 이상 높은 특성을 보였다. 이 필터는 반사형 반도체 광증폭기 등과의 하이브리드 집적을 통하여 광대역 파장 가변 레이저 다이오드를 구현하는데 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
