The purpose of this study was to determine whether there are significant differences in kinematic variables and muscle activities of the thumb between two smartphone holding techniques. Twelve right handed university students(age $25.4{\pm}3.9yrs$, height $176.2{\pm}5.1cm$, weight $75.8{\pm}11.4kg$, hand length $19.2{\pm}1.1cm$) who have no musculoskeletal disorder were recruited as the subjects and had experience in using a smartphone for more than one year. Maximum joint angle, angular velocity, muscular activities were determined for each trial. For each dependent variable, paired t-test was used to determine whether there were significant differences between one hand (OH) and two hands ([TH], ${\rho}$ <.05). The results of this study showed that there were no significant differences between OH and TH in the maximum joint angle of the thumb. The angular velocity of each joint was not statistically significant between OH and TH. The statistical analysis revealed that the main effect of the smartphone holding conditions was significant in the peak normalized muscular activities of FDI and APL. Although smartphone holding technique doesn't affect on mobility and movement of the thumb joint, it may affect on active degree of the thumb and the upper extremity in directly and indirectly.

Improving implant esthetics is very difficult, especially in cases where unaesthetic problems are related to implants in the maxillary anterior dentition. A 69-year old male patient was referred by a prosthodontist for periodic pus discharge and an unaesthetic implant prosthesis (maxillary right lateral incisor). The implant was placed too deeply and showed soft tissue volume deficiency and a long clinical crown. After a clinical and radiographic examination, implant submergence and alveolar ridge augmentation were performed to enhance the aesthetics instead of an explantation. The treatment plan was as follows: extraction the adjacent teeth with tooth mobility, secondary caries, and poor prognosis; placement an additional dental implant with hard and soft tissue grafting; fabrication a fixed bridge using implant abutments. A fixed esthetic prosthesis using implants was fabricated, and the patient was satisfied with the prosthesis. A ridge augmentation with implant submergence may be an alternative for solving the problems of unaesthetic implant restorations in the esthetic zone.

Traumatic injuries in the young peranent dentition are common, but root fractures, defined as fractures in volving dentin, cementum and pulp, are relatively uncommon. Case 1 is a 9-year-old boy who had a horizontal root fracture of his maxillary right central incisor in the apical third. Root canal therapy was performed in coronal segment and calcium hydroxide therapy was initiated. Six months after treatment, a periapical radiograph showed calcific tissue formation and normal root development. 1 year and 3 months later, the canal was permanently obturated with gutta-percha. Case 2 is a 7-year-old girl who had a vertical root fracture of her maxillary right central incisor. Fractured tooth was intentionally extracted atraumatically, and then the separated fragments are bonded with resin cement. the restored tooth was replanted into the original socket. Recalls up to 8 months showed normal mobility and no periapical pathosis. In these cases, we performed conservative treatment. Clinical and radiographic examination showed no pathosis or abnormality of the teeth and periodontal tissue.
Botryoid odontogenic cyst (BOC) is considered a rare multilocular variant of the lateral periodontal cyst. In this report, a 67-year-old male visited with chief complaint of severe mobility on mandibular incisors. Multilocular radiolucent lesion was seen from the right premolar to the left premolar area, involving almost the whole mandible. Histologically, the botryoid odontogenic cyst showed focal nodular thickening of the lining epithelium. These thickening often showed swirling appearance of the cells. Cyst enucleation and bone graft on mandible anterior and both body area were performed under general anesthesia, and postoperative healing was favorable without recurrence.

The purpose of this study is to derive policy implications in allocating day care centers for the elderly with more efficiency and/or equity by calculating and analysing the accessibility scores of individual dongs to day care centers for the elderly in Seoul using GIS spatial analysis techniques. The study finds that the spatial distribution of the centers does not respond to the distribution of the potential users very well and that dongs in Gangseo-gu and Songpa-gu at the outskirt of Seoul has the lowest level of accessibility. The findings of the study has policy implications in the management of day care centers for the elderly. First, in order to improve the accessibility of the elderly to the centers, an increase in the number and the capacity of the centers needs to be made especially in areas with lower level of services provided. Second, if policy decision is made in the way to increase the capacity of the existing centers rather than to increase the number of centers due to, for example, the budget limit, capacity expansion needs to be made in the centers with higher proximity in order for more elderly people to use the centers more frequently with easy access. Finally, this type of accessibility analysis techniques needs to be used to allocate, expand, and evaluate other types of care facilities for the elderly and social welfare facilities in order to preserve the welfare right of the users of the facility who usually have a lower mobility and to assure the necessity of the resource investment.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate high technology adaptive driving controls, such as mini steering wheel-lever system and joystick system, for the people with physical disabilities in the driving simulator. Background: The drivers with severe physical disabilities have problems in operation of the motor vehicle because of reduced muscle strength and limited range of motion. Therefore, if the remote control system with driver-by-wire technology is used for adaptive driving controls for people with physical limitations, the disabled people can improve their quality of life by driving a motor vehicle. Method: We developed the remotely controlled driving simulator with drive-by-wire technology, e.g., mini steering wheel-lever system and joystick system, in order to evaluate driving performance in a safe environment for people with severe physical disabilities. STISim Drive 3 software was used for driving test and the customized Labview program was used in order to control the servomotors and the adaptive driving devices. Thirty subjects participated in the study to evaluate driving performance associated with three different driving controls: conventional driving control, mini steering wheel-lever controls and joystick controls. We analyzed the driving performance in three different courses: straight lane course for acceleration and braking performance, a curved course for steering performance, and intersections for coupled performance. Results: The mini steering wheel-lever system and joystick system developed in this study showed no significant statistical difference (p>0.05) compared to the conventional driving system in the acceleration performance (specified speed travel time, average speed when passing on the right), steering performance (lane departure at the slow curved road, high-speed curved road and the intersection), and braking performance (brake reaction time). However, conventional driving system showed significant statistical difference (p<0.05) compared to the mini steering wheel-lever system or joystick system in the heading angle of the vehicle at the completion point of intersection and the passing speed of the vehicle at left turning. Characteristics of the subjects were found to give a significant effect (p<0.05) on the driving performance, except for the braking reaction time (p>0.05). The subjects with physical disabilities showed a tendency of relatively slow acceleration (p<0.05) at the straight lane course and intersection. The steering performance and braking performance were confirmed that there was no statistically significant difference (p>0.05) according to the characteristics of the subjects. Conclusion: The driving performance with mini steering wheel-lever system and joystick control system showed no significant statistical difference compared to conventional system in the driving simulator. Application: This study can be used to design primary controls with driver-by-wire technology for adaptive vehicle and to improve their community mobility for people with severe physical disabilities.

Objectives : This study research some special aspects of Extraordinary Organs and Eight Extra Meridians which differentiated from ordinary Organs and Meridians, and the association between Extraordinary Organs and Eight Extra Meridians. Methods : First, researched classification standard and physiological characteristics of Extraordinary Organs through studying various chapters of HuangdiNeijing. Third, from accompanying researching the subject of Cheon-gye(天癸) and human body shape, draw synthetic hypothesis on the relationship among ordinary Meridians and Organs, muscles and skins of body shape, Extraordinary Organs and Eight Extra Meridians. Results & Conclusions : The following conclusions could be drawn. 1. Extraordinary Organs afford background for shaping human body. This is same as the properties of the earth which afford background for shaping all creations. The physiological characteristics of Extraordinary Organs is intermediation and regulation between Ki(氣) of Five Viscera & six Bowels and shape of muscles & skins in human body. 2. The origin of Eight Extra Meridians could be found in HuangdiNeijing. The collateral Meridians of the Uterus and Epiglottis Meridian are specifically formulated to supplying for the Uterus or Epiglottis. From this we can draw The Association between Extraordinary Organs and Eight Extra Meridians, that is Eight Extra Meridians are specifically formulated to supplying for Extraordinary Organs. 3. The Cheon-gye(天癸) is doing significant function in Eight Extra Meridians supplying for Extraordinary Organs. Cheon-gye concerned to growth, secondary sexual characters, generative function, aging process. Theses are all concerned with the changing of human body shape. Cheon-gye urge to change the body shape with following the human life cycle. 4. Human body has vertical symmetry because preserve its shape from the gravitational force. Eight Extra Meridians place at the middle or flank axis of human body, thus do physiological function that assistant human body have vertical symmetry shape. The purpose of shaping vertical symmetry is securing space what the inner Twelve Regular Meridians and Five Viscera & six Bowels create there own physical changes. On the other hand the inner changes need deviation between left and right because of mobility and circulation of force. But human body change the shape in the process of growth, reproduction, aging. Eight Extra Meridians play role at time of these processing, thus they deeply concerned to human's life cycle and reproduction. 5. Eight Extra Meridians and Extraordinary Organs were named 'Extra' because of some special aspects which differentiated from ordinary Meridians and Organs. All they play role to have vertical symmetry shape of human body and maintain the shape, thus they deeply concerned to the change of human life cycle. These shaping maintaining and the change of human life cycle are very special aspects of human body. So they needed to differently cognize separate to the ordinary changes of Five Viscera & six Bowels and Twelve Meridians at inner space.
Although the development of transportation means has realized the right to mobility for the disabled who have difficulty in moving, it can be said that the improvement of the safety of passengers with disabilities that can occur in a car accident is lower than that of ordinary passenger seats. In particular, in the case of a rear-end collision that can occur suddenly, it is a reality that disabled passengers are vulnerable to head and neck injuries. Therefore, in this study, a multi-layer headrest foam that divides the headrest into three parts in the coronal plane was proposed to improve the head and neck injury index of disabled passengers in the vehicle in the event of a rear-end collision of a wheelchair transport vehicle. A range of stress scale factors was selected to give various compressive characteristics of the foam through low-speed rear-end collision analysis through a simple model, and GA optimization was performed by specifying the range as a parameter. Through the optimization result, the phase relationship between HIC and NIC was analyzed according to the compression characteristics of the layers. HIC responded most sensitively to the compression characteristics of the front layer and NIC responded to the compression characteristics of the mid layer, and the compression characteristics of the rear layer showed the lowest. A normal headrest and an optimized multi-layer headrest were placed in the validation model to analyze the low-speed rear-end collision sled test, and HIC and NIC were derived lower in the multi-layer headrest than in the general headrest. The compression behavior of the multi-layer headrest was also clearly shown, and it was verified that the multi-layer headrest was effective in improving the injury index of the head and neck compared to the general headrest.

In this paper, we propose a vibration notification system that combines navigation information and wearable bands to ensure safe driving for the transportation vulnerable. This system transmits navigation driving information to a linked application, converts it into a vibration signal, and provides notifications through a wearable band. Existing navigation systems focus on providing route guidance and location information, so the driver's concentration is dispersed, and safety and convenience are deteriorated, especially for those with mobility impairments, due to standard vision and delayed recognition of stimuli, resulting in an increasingly high traffic accident rate. To solve this problem, navigation driving information is converted into vibration signals through a linked application, and vibration notifications for events, left turns, right turns, and speeding are provided through a wearable band to ensure driver safety and convenience. In the future, we will use cameras and vehicle sensors to increase awareness of safety inside and outside the vehicle by adding a function that provides notifications with vibration and LED when the vehicle approaches or recognizes an object, and we will continue to conduct research to build a safer driving environment. plan.

Autonomous driving technology, when commercialized, has the potential to improve the safety, mobility, and environmental performance of transportation networks. However, safe autonomous driving may be hindered by poor sensor performance and limitations in long-distance detection. Therefore, cooperative autonomous driving that can supplement information collected from surrounding vehicles and infrastructure is essential. In addition, since HDVs, AVs, and CAVs have different ranges of perceivable information and different response protocols, countermeasures are needed for mixed traffic that occur during the transition period of autonomous driving technology. There is a lack of research on traffic flow optimization that considers the penetration rate of autonomous vehicles and the different characteristics of each road segment. The objective of this study is to develop weights based on safety, operational, and environmental factors for each infrastructure control use case and autonomous vehicle MPR. To develop an integrated evaluation index, infra-guidance AHP and hybrid AHP weights were combined. Based on the results of this study, it can be used to give right of way to each vehicle to optimize mixed traffic.
